It will be the third running of this event at this course with the 2020 Zozo being played in California due to travel restrictions. As always, this event has no cut and a smaller 78-player field consisting of leaders from the FedEx Cup playoffs points list, players from the Japan Golf Tour, the 2022 BMW Japan Tour Champion, and some sponsor exemptions. As I mentioned above this will be the third time Accordia Golf Narashino CC will host this event so we do have some information and stats to analyze, although limited as there are no Strokes Gained data at this event. Tiger Woods won the inaugural event here in 2020 with a winning score of -19 with the field shooting just over a half stroke under par per round. Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champ at this event as he won last year with a winning score -15. The field was not as strong last year which made it appear to play a bit tougher in terms of scoring as it playing about a half stroke over par per round on average. Statistically, the fairways were tough to hit both trips as the field averaged 53% and 55% with the players finishing Top 10 hitting around 2-4 % more fairways on average. The field averaged 61% and 68% when looking at Greens in Regulation with the approach shots being the biggest advantage in terms of separation from the field as those finishing Top 10 averaged around 5-6% more, on average....

The Course Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club Par 70 - 7,041 Yards Greens - **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Top Tier Targets Collin Morikawa World Golf Ranking (#3) Vegas Odds (6/1) Draftkings ($11,200) FanDuel ($12,000) At some point last Friday afternoon at the CJ Cup, the switch was flipped for Morikawa and it came after a bogey, double-bogey, bogey stretch. After that point, he went bogey-free for 42 straight holes with 17 birdies and two eagles to end up with a T2 in his first event since the Ryder Cup. As usual, his success was led by his elite iron game as he gained 4.9 strokes and ranks #1 on my sheet in SG: Approach and SG: Ball Striking. If I was playing multi-entry this week, I would likely be splitting Morikawa/Xander but will be once again be playing lineup and slightly lean Morikawa. Keegan Bradley World Golf Ranking (#84) Vegas Odds (35/1) Draftkings ($9,400) FanDuel ($10,500) I always have to throw a cup of cold water in my face when targeting Keegan at these prices to make sure I am serious and well here we are again. It's tough not to like him when he checks off almost every box starting with the ball striking(9th in the field on my sheet) and with some non-penal rough I am looking closely at Good Drive% and Keegan is 7th in that stat. He is also Top 20 in Par 3, 4, & 5 scoring and is 12th in BoB% in this field. To top it off I ran a comp course and international model on Fantasy National and Keegan is 2nd and 8th in those rankings. All things considered, he will be a core play for me this week in all formats. Mid Tier Target Harry Higgs World Golf Ranking (#112)...

For the second straight week, we have a re-scheduled event due to COVID-19 as the Zozo Championship moves from Japan to the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Like the CJ Cup, this will also be another no-cut event with a loaded field with eight of the Top 10 and 37 of the Top 50 players in the World teeing it up this week. This includes defending Zozo Champ Tiger Woods who makes his first start since a missed cut at the U.S. Open. Don't let that hold you back from the GOAT, however, as he returns to the venue of his Hero World Challenge event hosted from 2000-2013 in which Tiger won five times and finished runner-up five other times. The course is Sherwood Country Club and while it appears to be a very short(7,073 Yards) Par 72, the Jack Nicklaus design challenges golfers to be "on" in every facet of their game if they are wanting to win here. It is also a little quirky as there are five Par 3's and five Par 5's and while you would think the scoring would be low, Tiger had an average score of just 68.5 here over 12 events. That is mostly due to the dangers around every corner with water coming to play on eight holes, well-positioned bunkering, doglegs that force positioning off the tee, and fast, challenging Bentgrass greens. Even the Par 5's present a big challenge if going for it in two as the greens are very protected. Overall, this is a risk-reward-type course which will have a lot of golfers playing more conservative off the tee as accuracy...
