Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv 9/2/15 We've got a double slate rocking for this Wednesday. Some early games on a mini slate and a bigger evening one. There are a lot of decent and better arms going here so finding quality bats across the landscape will take some finesse. Also, hat tip to Ezequiel Paulino who chipped in for his first time on some of these picks. Looking forward to hearing more from him. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Pitchers Cole Hamels - FD 10700 DK 10800 Victiv Opponent- SD (Kennedy) R Park- @SD Cole Hammels is a solid option in cash games and tournaments. He’s been roughed up a bit since being traded to Texas, but that doesn’t take away his elite 9.37 ker p 9 on the year. His 3.42 sierra and 3.35 xfip are certainly respectable, if not completely elite. Though the latter matters a bit less because he isn't priced in the upper tier. The Padres are pretty much terrible to be honest, they rank 5th in k percentage at 21.9%, have a team wOBA below 300, and the game is in Petco Park, a nice park shift for Hamels. Overall the matchup with the Padres seems ideal. Matt Harvey - FD 11500 DK 11900 Victiv Opponent- Phi (Nola) R Park- @Nym Matt Harvey is easily the top pitching option on the board across all formats. His possess an elite 23.7 k percentage, a solid 3.38 xfip, and a top tier k per 9 at 8.38. He’s pitched considerably better at Citi Field with a 7-2 record, 2.26 era, and an outstanding 0.94 whip. Over his last 7 starts he’s striking out 40 batters in 48.2 innings. The man has been lights out. The Phillies offense has fared better against left handed pitching this year, and pretty much have been abysmal versus righties. Harvey is listed as a -235 favorite; Vegas likes him, so do I, get him in your lineups. Early Slate Special - For the dollars I'll roll Masahiro Tanaka against the Red Sox.   Catchers Ooh man do I ever dislike catcher today. You'll see why in a second. Yasmani Grandal - FD 2200 DK 3100 Victiv 4200 Opponent- SF (Leake) R Park- @Lad See what I mean? He's been a mess for the second half of the season, with an increased strikeout rate and just being bad all around. Not exactly a ringing endorsement I know, but he is now basically a...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Thursday 9/3/15

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Thursday 9/3/15 Welcome back to the wonderful world of College Football. Hope you are as excited as we are. We've been gearing up for CFB with a bunch of offerings. At the bottom of the page you'll can sign up for our free e-book "8 Things You Need to Know Before Playing Daily Fantasy College Football". Just enter an email and it'll land in your inbox. We're also selling lineups and cheatsheets for every CFB slate. This week they include 2 DraftKings and 2 FanDuel lineups along with a cheatsheet of write ups on a number of different player. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription.   Quarterback   Marquise Williams If you want to spend up Williams is the guy I would target. Considering his duel threat capabilities and North Carolina's ability to score he has what he needs to open the season on a high note. Williams was a little erratic last season.  Over the last four weeks Williams had a high of 47 fantasy points and a low of 4 and no, he didn’t get hurt during that 4pt performance. Considering his tag I would prefer a bit more consistency, but regardless this game has the right ingredients to buy some Marquise shares. Williams is a dark horse Heisman candidate and has the ability to light teams up through the air or on the ground. With a plethora of receivers the Gamecocks may have difficulty covering the entire field. If SC is able to cover the wide outs it will undoubtedly leave Williams space up the middle to gash them with his feet. Vegas says this will be a high scoring tightly contested matchup and if that holds true Williams could be the QB play of the night. On Fanduel it's really hard to get away from a 5100 Sirk, but on DK where you need two QB's it’s a whole different story and I will look to have Williams on a few of my rosters. Thomas Sirk Sirk is currently listed as the Blue Devils starter replacing All-ACC signal caller, Anthony Boone. The Dukies may take a step back this year with the loss of Boone and Crowder, but that doesn’t mean we still can't find value scattered throughout their roster. I bring you Sirk. At 6'5" 220lbs he's a big physical athlete who isn't afraid to get his nose dirty as evidenced by his 8 rushing touchdowns on just 47 carries. I could tell you that Sirk has a career completion percentage of 71% and it would be true, but with only 14 passing attempts I won't try to sell you on...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv 9/1/15

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv 9/1/15 Tonight features a massive slate of games, so I’ll try to provide multiple picks at different price levels that have different levels of upside. This is another night with a lot of strong arms pitching, so finding value throughout the lineup will be especially crucial. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Pitchers Chris Sale - FD 12800 DK 13900 Victiv Opponent- Min (Duffey) R Park- @Min The most expensive pitcher of the evening, and the guy who I believe has the best matchup of the elite arms is Chris Sale. I don’t like Bumgarner or Greinke because they’re facing each other, and Cueto is facing an elite offense in Detroit. The Twins are only slightly above league average when it comes to OPS and wOBA against southpaws, and Sale is far from league average (hot take). Unless you’re new to this DFS thing, you know Sale has some of the best numbers in the business, and can toss a gem on any given night. I’m not crazy about the price, but if you’re looking for the most safety for your 50/50’s and multipliers, give Sale strong consideration. Gerrit Cole - FD 10000 DK 10800 Victiv Opponent- Mil (Nelson) R Park- @Mil Coming down in price a bit from the elite arms, Gerrit Cole is a very interesting play for cash games and maybe even for tournaments. Cole is facing a Brewers squad slightly below league average against righties in terms of OPS and wOBA, and have the 10th highest K % in the league. As good as Cole has been on the year, he’s actually been better pitching on the road, which works well against a Brewers squad that struggles at home. I (and Vegas) like the Pirates to win this game, so the win bonus could vault Cole up in value while giving you more flexibility to include some big bats in your lineup. Matt Shoemaker - FD 8000 DK 6700 Victiv Opponent- Oak (Bassitt) R Park- @Oak My personal favorite for tournaments comes in the form of Matt Shoemaker for a couple of reasons. For one, his price isn’t going to kill you and will allow you to roster more than a few solid bats. Secondly, while the Athletics don’t strike out a ton, they are in the bottom third in OPS and wOBA against righties this season. Lastly and most importantly, Shoemaker has a dream matchup against a guy who has gotten...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv 8/31/15

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv 8/31/15 Ahhh, Monday. One of the oddest days of the daily fantasy baseball week due to the number of teams who get a day off. Still, though, there's a lot of money to be made on these smaller slates. The reason? Fewer guys to choose from means choosing the wrong players is a bigger mistake than it is on a deeper night. Even still, though, there's no way we could do a write-up for every single player, even on a short slate. If you want all of our projections? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Pitchers The big boys - should you play one? A lot of people will grab Archer, Keuchel, or Price for their 50/50s today. I'll be cautious. Our projection system doesn't like any of them on a points per dollar basis in an absolute sense, but if it were forced to pick one, it would go with Dallas Keuchel. He's got a fantastic ground ball rate, a nice K rate, and a solid match-up with the Mariners (the owners of the 8th worst K% against left handed pitching in the majors). Still, it feels like a lot to pay, and on a short slate, it might be tough to get the money in good hitter-wise if you play him. Tyson Ross - FD 8900 DK 9700 Victiv Opponent- Tex (Lewis) R Park- @Sd Stuff starts getting weird early. Ross is a tough guy to root for because of his absurd walk-rate. His 4.10 BB/9 is the worst in the majors among qualified pitchers. But the crazy thing? As you go down the BB/9 wall of shame, you have to get down to Jake Arrieta at 2.22 BB/9 before you guy who can outpace Ross' 3.13 xFIP. Even with his unorthodox approach, Ross has put together the 13th best xFIP in the major leagues. It all comes down to two things: his great K rate, and his absurd ground ball percentage. His 62.5% GB% is 3rd in the majors (just .1% behind Dallas Keuchel). That's pretty damned good. But again, Ross has warts. What it means for your purposes is that Ross often makes a great 50/50 play. He can erase walks with double-plays, and wiggle out of jams by striking people out. But it also means he doesn't pitch deep into a lot of games, limiting his upside. As for the match-up, the Rangers have a nice wOBA against righties this season, but they actually dip to...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, and Victiv 8/30/15

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, and Victiv 8/30/15 Full disclaimer - this is a massive slate, and there's no way I could ever possibly list every decent play today. So, I'll do my best in highlighting whom I believe to be the elite plays. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings, Victiv, and Yahoo.   Pitchers Stephen Strasburg - FD 10100 DK 10000 Victiv Opponent- Mia (Hand) L Park- @Was I can't even field questions as to whether there's a clearer play for double-ups and 50/50s tomorrow. Strasburg has been on point since returning from injury - 32 Ks again 3 BBs and a 1.73 ERA. That's the pure ace we were expecting coming into this season, and our projection system would have you believe that this is the guy we ought to have been expecting all along. His price is still depressed from his early season woes, making him one of the best buying opportunities in the game. And today? He also happens to have the definition of an ideal match-up. The Marlins are dead last in the majors when it comes to wOBA against right handed pitching, and they're trotting out a guy in Brad Hand who's got a dismal 4.51 career xFIP. I'm all in, here. James Shields - FD 8500 DK 8500 Victiv Opponent- Phi (Asher) R Park- @Phi Shields isn't the guy he used to be, but recent struggles have him priced well below what you ought to be able to expect from him. His 3.54 xFIP is still better than league average, and his 9.64 K/9 this season is actually the highest of his career. And yes, that number is buoyed by pitching in the National League. But guess what? This game is being played against a National League team! And a really horrid one, at that. The Phils have been battling the Marlins for worst wOBA in the majors against RHP (they're currently tied for 2nd worst), and they actually strike out more against righties than the fish do. They also have the very lowest walk rate in the majors against RHP. For my fifteenth "also," there's Alec Asher. The 23rd ranked pitcher in the Phillies system, per FanGraphs. Love Shields for big tournaments, today. Lance McCullers - FD 6700 DK 9300 Victiv Opponent- Min (Santana) R Park- @Min My favorite super cheap, big tournament only guy. McCullers is a pitcher with a true prospect pedigree, true put-away stuff, and a handful of very good starts we can point...
