What We Know Personnel Cesar Ramos is getting the nod against the Athletics. He will be replacing Yu Darvish. And rumors are, Yu Darvish might be heading to the DL with shoulder and neck issues. Angel's superstar, Mike Trout left yesterday's contest with a right thumb contusion. He is currently listed as day-to-day. Jose Bautista is expected to return to the lineup tonight. He has been out since Thursday nursing his right quad. Ike Davis signed with the New York Yankees on Sunday and should get the majority of the starts against right-handed pitchers. Adrian Beltre sat out yet again on Sunday due to a strained left hamstring. He could be headed to the DL, but no word yet. Jurickson Profar is going to continue to handle third base until the veteran is back in the lineup. Mallex Smith will be hitting lead off tonight for the Braves. Edwin Encarnacion is out of the lineup on Monday. Justin Smoak will start at first base and Jose Bautista will be the DH. Maikel Franco is out of the lineup on Monday. Andres Blanco will hit 3rd and start in his place. Top Tournament Stack Tigers On the year, Shields owns a 4.96 FIP and 5.06 ERA. He was off to a great start, but it has not been so great in the month of June. He also owns a 1.56 HR/9 rate. He has had trouble keeping the ball inside the ballpark, and that is very dangerous against this powerful offense. "Big Game Shields" has not had a big game in his last two outings. It has actually been the complete opposite. He has not been able to get passed the third inning, and going up against a power-hitting Tigers squad will make things tough for him. With this game having a 9.5 run-total, you can expect the Tigers to do some damage. The Tigers we all know hit lefties extremely well, but they also...

And will be going over a few more options below. Zack Greinke FD 10500 DK 10300 Opponent - LAD (Bolsinger) Park - @ARIFD - 35.45 DK - 19.23 Wow, this is one ugly slate we got on our hands. Tonight is one of those nights I recommenced playing less than your usual bankroll and just cross your fingers. With that being said, the first guy I will go ahead and talk about is Zack Greinkie. Greinkie will be going up against his old team the L.A. Dodgers. Revenge game perhaps? If you're into narrative picks, then this is your top pitching option of the night! Greinkie was off to a bumpy start, but has picked it up as of late. He has delivered four quality starts in his last five outings, including a complete game shutout (in his last outing). He owns a 3.33 FIP to go along with a 1.17 WHIP. He sure has been good, but his 20.7 K% isn't the prettiest of things (for tournaments). He isn't a guy with huge upside, but I do think he is in play against a not so great offense in the Dodgers. He is in play for me tonight in all formats. P.S. He is probably my top arm of the night for cash games. Max against the Cubbies sure scares me, but he has a ton of upside as well. It's between these two guys and the rest is -- well -- scary. Carlos Carrasco FD 9400 DK 9800 Opponent - KC...

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets L.A. Angels vs. Ricky Nolasco (MIN) I'm going to start off by saying that there are a ton of teams that are "stackable" tonight. There is no "safe" option on the hill tonight, so this will definitely be an interesting slate. So I have decided to give you three stacks that will be lower-owned on the night and I see having big days. With that being said -- the first team I am looking to stack tonight is the L.A. Angels. They will be going up against Ricky Nolasco who has struggled in recent years. Since 2014, Nolasco owns a 5.51 ERA that is backed up by a 3.99 FIP. His FIP suggests that he isn't as bad as his ERA suggests, but we all know the type of pitcher Nolasco is. He is either amazing out there or absolutely awful. The Halos' are in the middle of the pack against right-handed pitchers. They own a 100 wRC+ (15th in MLB) and .311 wOBA (19th in MLB). If the Angels' two big bats (Mike Trout and Albert Pujols) catch fire,...

Stack Targets Note: Both sides of the Coors game are obviously in play, but we'll give you a few other options to pick over as well. This article is about finding good stacks to get separation in big tournaments, and that can't usually be done in Coors Field. Washington Nationals vs. Adam Morgan The Nats are normally a stack when they are against right handed pitchers thanks to the thumping bats of Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy, and the reverse platoon action you can get from Anthony Rendon. When they're facing a pitcher as bad as Adam Morgan, though, you don't totally need the platoon advantage. While this game has just an 8.5 over/under, the -250 money line Washington's way suggests Vegas thinks the Nats' bats are going to feast here. The usual suspects (Harper and Murphy) are in play even in a reverse platoon spot, and we can also get some excess value by targeting Michael Taylor (.090 OPS points better against LHP for his career, getting some looks at the top of the lineup), Wilson Ramos (.054 OPS points better vs. LHP for his career), Anthony Rendon and Ben Revere (a reverse platoon split guy for his career). Morgan, in case you're unfamiliar, is just a batting practice guy who leaves WAY too many balls up in the zone - his 32.3 career GB% would be the 3rd worst figure in the league this season. The Chicago Cubs against "John Gant" Okay, the...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Jon Lester, Steven Matz, and Joe Ross in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. First things first - today is just an awful day for starting pitching. The following are punt plays for big tournaments only. Dallas Keuchel FD 7700 DK 8600 Opponent - TB (Moore) Park - @TBFD - 32.52 DK - 16.87 It's easy to forget now, but the Astros' lefty was one of the more dominating forces in all of baseball just last season - 2nd in the league in ground ball percentage at a ridiculous 61.7% clip, and posting the 5th best xFIP in the majors. Well that was last year and this is this year, you say. Fair enough. Except when you look at Keuchel's underlying peripheral stats, not THAT much has changed. Yes, his GB% has dipped to 57.4% - good for just 5th in the majors. And yes, his K/9 has dipped from 8.38 to 7.84. And yes, his BB/9 has climbed from 1.98 to 2.94. None of that is particularly inspiring. But it also doesn't mean he's a bad pitcher. His xFIP is a respectable 3.54, and while it seems clear that things aren't heading in the right direction, he can absolutely still put up a big game. And this game could absolutely be a boom or bust situation. The Rays have struck out in 23.8% of their plate appearances vs. lefties this year. They've also posted the highest ISO, and 2nd highest OPS. Not for the faint of heart, here, but an interesting gamble nonetheless. Julio Urias FD 6700 DK 5500 Opponent - SF (Peavy) Park - @SFFD - 27.86 DK - 14.78 Well this article has escalated quickly. This is the very puntiest of punt plays. The Giants aren't an especially great match-up for right handed pitchers from a fantasy perspective...
