Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 10/21/15 Another night of playoff baseball, another night of... pretty darned similar picks. Sorry, there just isn't a lot we can do with the same teams playing the same opponents in pretty much the same ballparks. There will be a few slight differences, though. Enjoy! If you're new to the playoff picks, I'll be giving you one play per position to whet your appetite. You can also grab a free trial of the projection system that makes these picks possible. Your free trial also includes access to our NFL and NHL tools - so get started today! Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Jason Hammel - FD 7900 DK 8100 Opponent- NYM (Matz) L Park- @Chc If there was ever a day when you can go cheap and load up on some bats with these short, playoff slates then this is the one. No pitcher on FanDuel is more than 9K. And for our purposes here, I think you can take a chance on the cheapest of the bunch. When you look through Hammel's game log, it sure doesn't inspire a ton of confidence, though his season peripherals do. He struck out more than a batter an inning, walked around two per nine and put up an xFIP in the very low 3's. Those numbers give me just enough of a glimmer of hope that he can pay off this salary. I know Estrada is the biggest money line favorite, but whenever possible I'd rather take the NL guy if for nothing else but they get to face the pitcher's slot. With that in mind, if you don't go with Hammel, I'd rock Steven Matz for many of the same reasons. It's very much between those two guys for me.   Editor's Note: With these two game slates you are going to see a lot of repeat plays. There's no way to avoid it and the narratives don't change too much as long as the prices stay put. So please don't hate on the repeats here. There are only so many words. Catchers Salvador Perez - FD 2400 DK 3300 Opponent- Tor (Estrada) R Park- @Tor Been a mainstay in these picks over the last week and it's not about to change today. There's definitely a case to be made for Russell Martin as well (and a Blue Jays' stack in general) but I'll opt to go cheap from the catcher's slot and load up in some other areas. Perez contributed to the onslaught of Royals' runs yesterday going 1-3 from a walk and a run scored before giving way to Butera late game. Go...

Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Jacob deGrom - FD 10600 DK 11600 Opponent- CHC (Hendricks) R Park- @Nym Kyle Hendricks - FD 7700 DK 8800 Opponent- NYM (DeGrom) R Park- @Nym You're picking between National League pitchers in this one, and each has a little bit of his own flavor to offer. DeGrom is a legit #1 starter, and facing the Cubs makes him a high risk, but very high reward proposition. DeGrom's 9.66 K/9 were 9th in the league among qualified starters, and it led to him having an MLB 7th best 2.92 xFIP as well. The Cubs, for their part, had the very highest strike-out rate in the majors (24%!) against right handed pitching this season, and were a highly volatile 14th best in the majors in terms of wOBA. For cash games, DeGrom represents a nice way to get in a big chunk of salary at a pretty reasonable price. In the other dugout, though, Kyle Hendricks is looking like a pretty intriguing tournament option. He's way cheaper the DeGrom, and the Mets were in the bottom third of the league when it comes to wOBA against right handed pitching. Hendricks is also probably underrated by the main stream media out there - his 8.35 K/9, good control, and well above average ground-ball rate make up a fine daily fantasy package. He'll also save you a ton, letting you play some significantly more qualified hitters.   Editor's Note: With these two game slates you are going to see a lot of repeat plays. Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 10/17/15

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 10/17/15 Quick warning. From a pricing standpoint, most of these picks are going to look the same on a night-to-night basis. That's the nature of these two game slates where almost everything is the same except for the pitchers. And even those aren't wildly divergent. If you're new to the playoff picks, I'll be giving you one play per position to whet your appetite. You can also grab a free trial of the projection system that makes these picks possible. Your free trial also includes access to our NFL and NHL tools - so get started today! Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Noah Syndergaard - FD 10400 DK 10800 Opponent- CHC (Arrieta) R Park- @Nym These slates are always so tough with the pitching because there are oh so many good arms going this time of year. This slate is particularly tricky because there are three good arms going (now that Cueto didn't look completely dead last time out). So I'm going to go with the system here. Syndergaard is up against Arrieta of course and the latter's been a little piece of strikeout magic in the short term. But Thor's coming at a significant discount as opposed to Jake and I'm willing to buy on that alone. His peripherals are awesome this season, striking out more than a batter an inning and rocking an xFIP less than three. He might be the dog here, but that's built into the price.   Editor's Note: With these two game slates you are going to see a lot of repeat plays. There's no way to avoid it and the narratives don't change too much as long as the prices stay put. So please don't hate on the repeats here. There are only so many words. Catchers Salvador Perez - FD 2400 DK 3300 Opponent- Tor (Stroman) R Park- @Tor Though he went 0-4 yesterday, and there are some injury issues possibly. But this sticks from yesterday: With some of the plays today you'll see that I'm taking the path of cheap resistance. That's because I'm perfectly happy getting some money in on the Jays' bats, but to do so one will need to punt in a position or two. Perez showed flashed of power in the series against the Astros, though I wouldn't necessarily pencil him in as the next Mike Piazza or anything. That being said, hitting around 7th in the order, he can put the bat on the ball from time to time. Special Offer DraftPot has a $100K Guaranteed contest for NFL's Week 6. Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 10/16/15 Though the slates are short, this time of the baseball is exciting. Tons of great arms. Solid teams left. Great fan bases. Watching MLB now makes the season worth it. And DFS is just the icing. If you're new to the playoff picks, I'll be giving you one play per position to whet your appetite. You can also grab a free trial of the projection system that makes these picks possible. Your free trial also includes access to our NFL and NHL tools - so get started today! Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Jon Lester - FD 10700 DK 10800 Opponent- NYM (Harvey) R Park- @Nym Three awesome arms going on this slate so I'll have to choose one. For me, it's Lester. Though a slight ML dog going in, Lester put together a fantastic season with a strikeout an inning and a 3.06 xFIP. For these short slates I want more exposure to pitchers in the NL because they avoid the DH and every little bit counts. For all of the Mets Miracle-ness, they still struck out over 23% of the time against lefties this season. Lester is the clear play for me on FanDuel and DraftKings where he's coming cheaper than Price. He lets you get in at least of semblance of offense down the lineup.   Catchers Salvador Perez - FD 2400 DK 3100 Opponent- Tor (Price) L Park- @KC With some of the plays today you'll see that I'm taking the path of cheap resistance.
