I forget what I was talking about. Oh! Drew Brees! Love the guy! Love him. To be honest, darling reader, I know you're feeling thrice bitten and four times shy on Brees at this point, but hear me out. New Orleans is currently sitting at a 24.8% offensive DVOA versus a 15.9% DVOA from 2013. Layman's terms - they're doing just fine on offense. For whatever reason, this isn't converting to huge fantasy games, but I believe that this will be the day! Dallas was horrendous against the pass last year, and even gave up some big plays to the Rams. This is the week! I swear it. This holds true on Draftster as well, of course. At 9000 you're paying for it, but I'd argue that Brees has the most upside of any QB in the league this week, unless of course you're thinking about... Matt Ryan - 9000 Going to have to pay a bit here, but after embarrassing the Bucs for a huge fantasy performance in just 3 quarters of work, Ryan has to be mentioned in the conversation with Brees as far as upside is concerned. Listen, only Cutler has put up a 4 TD game this season, so I've actually done you a favor by having you punt your top spot with Brees! Okay, you're not buying it. But listen. THIS is the game!! Brees and his offense are going to be aware that the Vikings were utterly terrible against the pass last year, and they're using Khiry Robinson in the back field, so it's not like he demands red zone attention. If there's a week to play Brees, I guess this is the one! Matt Stafford I went back and forth on this one, but in a game that stands to be pretty high scoring and back and forth, I think I like Stafford's chances to put up numbers a little bit more than Rodgers'. The Packers have more of a history of running in the red zone, and the Lions will often just use their short passing game to Bush or Bell in short yardage situations. I think there's a decent chance that Stafford leads the whole NFL in passing this week.   All purpose yards LeSean McCoy With 217 total yards this season, McCoy has been all you can really hope for from a total yards perspective this season. He's been touching the ball a ton, and I don't see any reason that shouldn't continue against the Redskins' middle of the road defense. Hit it Bryce:   Before we get started, here are three keys to success on DraftKings and daily leagues in general: KNOW YOUR VALUE You will consistently see me refer back to the term "value". Determining the value of a player only takes some basic mathematics (some fourth and fifth grade level stuff here, people!) In Draftkings, I always shoot for 3 points per $1,000 spent or in other words if a player costs $6,000 then I need him to get 18 points in order to reach his value. If all players I select reach value then each of my lineups should average 150 points which will guarantee victory in every single double up league and almost guarantee a minimum cash in any GPP multi-entry league. Disclaimer: 3 points per $1,000 is a HIGH value mark. In reality, if you can get 2.5 points per $1,000 then you should safely profit from week to week, but we're not looking for safe profit...we want MASSIVE GAINS! YOUR BEST WEAPON IS YOUR OWN TWO EYES The best way to know how a player is performing from week to week is by watching the game! I know, thank you captain obvious; but if you plan on putting up more than a couple bucks, I highly suggest watching as much live game action as you can. There are hundreds of sites that post positional rankings based on statistics of previous games and this is fine for your start 'em or sit 'em questions in your yearly "family" league.
