Quarterbacks Drew Brees - 9000 I wrote this in our main picks article this week: What's that saying about fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on.. something. I forget what I was talking about. Oh! Drew Brees! Love the guy! Love him. To be honest, darling reader, I know you're feeling thrice bitten and four times shy on Brees at this point, but hear me out. New Orleans is currently sitting at a 24.8% offensive DVOA versus a 15.9% DVOA from 2013. Layman's terms - they're doing just fine on offense. For whatever reason, this isn't converting to huge fantasy games, but I believe that this will be the day! Dallas was horrendous against the pass last year, and even gave up some big plays to the Rams. This is the week! I swear it. This holds true on Draftster as well, of course. At 9000 you're paying for it, but I'd argue that Brees has the most upside of any QB in the league this week, unless of course you're thinking about... Matt Ryan - 9000 Going to have to pay a bit here, but after embarrassing the Bucs for a huge fantasy performance in just 3 quarters of work, Ryan has to be mentioned in the conversation with Brees as far as upside is concerned. And this season, you could argue...

Week 2 Football Picks Recap Well, week 2 was a great one for our daily fantasy football picks. We crushed double up formats, and had a little GPP success as well when our QBs were right. Blech, though - QB was a mess last week! Coming into this week, we're feeling very confident after a strong first couple of weeks. On to the picks! Quarterbacks Drew Brees - FD 9100 DK 8900 DD 16400 DFSTR 9000 Count me firmly out of any group that's worried about Drew Brees so far, and doubly out of any group that is concerned about taking him against the Vikings' defense. Without Adrian Peterson, the Vikings showed what they are capable of on offense, which led to plenty of opportunities for the Pats last week....

It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research. Quarterbacks An eerily quiet week for Quarterbacks, with only 2 QBs throwing for even 3 touchdowns. I don't think this is any sort of indicator for the future, and I think a lot of QBs will feel like they have a lot to prove. All that said, I'm not taking toooooo much away from week 1 that we didn't already know. As a reminder, I like to spend more on QB in double ups and less in GPPs, simply because QBs tend to be less volatile on a week to week basis. Tom Brady - FD 8500 DK 7000 DD 13200 DFSTR 7700 If you're spooked by Brady's week 1 performance, let me talk you down off the ledge for a second. First of all, Brady aired it out 56 times against a Dolphins defense that was better than league average last year defending against the pass. While he didn't convert that into a huge day, one has to figure...

Catching up on Week 1 If you want our full slate of picks for week, click here. I go position by position and give you whom I believe to be the best plays, dollar for dollar, for Week 1's games. This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you juke and jive and get a leg up on your opponents that they might not see coming. Cool? Cool. Let's do this thing. Sleepers The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 1. Another quick note: When we're thinking about sleepers, the reason we want to play sleepers in football are to get in high priced studs with massive upside. Basically, we're trying to catch lightning in a bottle at a position with relatively low upside (like QB) so we can fit in the big dollar guys at high upside position (like TE or WR). To that end, I'm much more likely to play RB or QB sleepers than WRs. Makes sense? Awesome. Chad Henne - FD 5600 DK 5200 DD 4900 DFSTR DRAFTSTER Having fun yet? I think the...
