We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Carlos Carrasco, Madison Bumgarner and Adam Wainwright in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Jose Fernandez FD 11000 DK 12700 Opponent - CHC (Hammel) Park - @CHC FD - 37.44 DK - 24.86 Jose Fernandez will not be highly owned tonight, as he will be going up against the Cubs, at Wrigley. This is not an ideal matchup for a pitcher, but this is Jose we're talking about. He owns a 36.8 K% on the year (highest in MLB) to go along with a 76.2 LOB% and 2.26 xFIP. In tournaments, we tend to look for the guy with the highest ceiling and Jose is that guy. While the Cubs are one of the best offensive teams in the league, they have the tendency to strikeout. They own a 22.6 K% (6th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. Mr. K meets a team that strikes out a ton, so we should expect for him to rack up the K's tonight. He is an excellent pivot from Bumgarner in tournaments. Gerrit Cole FD 9500 DK 9000 Opponent - ATL (Foltynewicz) Park - @ATL FD - 35.83 DK - 23.47 While Gerrit Cole doesn't have the same upside as Jose, he does draw a better matchup and has Vegas on his side. He will be going up against the Braves tonight, who have struggled against right-handed pitchers this year. They own a .290 wOBA (30th in MLB) and .118 ISO (30th in MLB). They haven't had much going for them on offense and playing at Turner Field,...

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Washington Nationals vs. Archie Bradley (ARI) The Nationals continue their West Coast road trip and are now spending the next few days at Arizona. This means that they get a huge ballpark boost and will be facing a bullpen that owns a 4.90 ERA on the year (29th in MLB). I would go ahead and stack the Nationals just on those two factors, but they will be also going up against Archie Bradley, who has struggled to find his groove in the majors. On the year, Bradley owns a 1.41 WHIP to go along with a 4.52 FIP. His problem this season has been the walks, as he has walked over 11% of the batters has faced, which yells out [trouble] to me. The Nationals are in the middle of the pack when it comes to hitting righties, so go ahead and plug them into your lineups! They have a beautiful matchup and other factors in their favor as well! My top 4 guys to stack: Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy and Wilson Ramos Milwaukee Brewers vs. Jarred Cosart (SD)...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Stephen Strasburg and Danny Salazar in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Chris Archer FD 9300 DK 10100 Opponent - KC (Duffy) Park - @TB FD - 35.48 DK - 19.04 Chris Archer sure struggled in the first half of the season, but he has looked like his old self in his last five starts. He owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a whopping 29.8 K% during that span. He's been as dominant as ever and going up against a Royals' offense that is ice-cold; sets him up nicely. In the last month of baseball, the Royals have been struggling. They are dead last in wOBA, ISO and wRC+. Their offense has been completely dead and I'll go ahead and play Chris Archer in tournaments. His upside is through the roof! Marcus Stroman FD 7400 DK 8200 Opponent - HOU (Fister) Park - @HOU FD - 32.14 DK - 16.52 Yes, Marcus Stroman owns a 4.92 ERA, but lets not focus on that. Instead, lets focus on his peripherals and matchup. To start off, Stroman has been a much better pitcher than his ERA suggests. On the year, he owns a 3.55 xFIP along with a 3.69 SIERA. Pitching at the Rogers Centre and AL east has not done him much justice, but the good news is that he will be taking his talents to Minute Maid Park. Stroman will be going up against the Astros, which gives him some nice upside. I know he owns a K% under 20 this season, but...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Boston Red Sox vs. Jered Weaver (LAA) The Red Sox are my top stack of the night, and it isn't even close. They will be going up against Jered Weaver, who has struggled mightily this season. He is coming into this contest sporting an ERA, FIP, xFIP and SIERA well over five. It just sets this Boston Red Sox team perfectly. This is as good as a matchup you'll see in DFS, so don't try to be cute and fade a team that has the highest wOBA against right-handed pitchers, especially against one whose peripherals are just awful. The Sox lineup runs deep and have tough outs even at the bottom of the lineup My top 4 guys to stack: David Ortiz, Jackie Bradley Jr., Mookie Betts and Hanley Ramirez Minnesota Twins vs. Ubaldo Jimenez (BAL) With all these aces on the mound, there are not many stacking options, but I like the Twins tonight. They will be going up against Ubaldo Jimenez; another guy struggling this season. He is coming into this contest boasting a 1.97 WHIP to go along...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Marcus Stroman and Bud Norris in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Danny Salazar FD 10100 DK 9500 Opponent - WSH (Gonzalez) Park - @CLE FD - 35.47 DK - 23.4 Oh man! I love the days we don't have a "clear-cut" starter on the mound, and today is one of those days! On days like these I tend to look for the guy with highest ceiling and that is, Danny Salazar. Yes, Danny Salazar has to face Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy, but besides those two guys, no one on that squad devours right-handed pitchers. They are in the middle-of-the-pack when it comes to facing righties, which puts Salazar in a great position. Besides a solid matchup, Salazar is one of the top pitchers on the slate (if not the top pitcher), when it comes to raw talent. He owns a 27.4 K% (upside!) to go along with a 2.75 ERA. It's not the best of days for pitchers, but Salazar is very affordable and you have to love his upside. Chris Archer FD 8400 DK 8700 Opponent - LAD (Norris) Park - @LAD FD - 32.03 DK - 21.4 Like I mentioned before, pitching isn't a thing of beauty today, so go ahead and grab a guy with a ton of upside, and next on the list is, Chris Archer! Chris Archer will be going up against the Dodgers, which is another team that is in the middle-of-the-pack against right-handed pitchers. Archer has had some tremendous games and then some awful games, so...
