Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft 10/1/15 Well - things are winding down for this regular season. A lot of playoff spots are secure, a lot of awful players have been called up for September, and here we are - just trying to figure out what the heck is going to happen on a day to day basis. Thursday happens to be quite a large daily fantasy baseball slate, so I'll go ahead and give you a play for the early slate, and then a couple of plays in the late slate for each position. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial A quick note: It's the end of the year, which means that you really have no idea who is going to play, and who isn't. This is based on a best guess, but inevitably some or all of these picks will be sitting for reasons known or unknown. Make sure to check probable starting lineups before you actually lock yours in, and for the love of God, don't play full-day slates. Pitchers Early Slate Jerad Eickhoff - FD 6100 DK 8800 StarsDraft Opponent- Nym (Stauffer) R Park- @Phi Lord knows I spend enough time bragging about my awesome picks, so let me take a refreshing break for you: I couldn't have been more wrong about Jerad Eickhoff. While he's still out-performing his peripherals, it seems like the gains he's made in the last couple of seasons have been legit. He's an excellent control guy, and he has enough stuff to put up a decent strike-out game as well. Today he'll face the Mets, who have nothing to play for - as evidenced by the fact that Tim Stauffer will be taking the mound. Given the other options early (and the likelihood of Price getting pulled early), I think Eickhoff actually makes a fine play in any format. Late Slate Jose Fernandez - FD 10900 DK 11200 StarsDraft Opponent- TB (Odorizzi) R Park- @TB The runaway favorite for our projection system for late slate cash games. Fernandez has been an improved version of his old dominant self through 10 starts this season - posting a 10.71 K/9 against just 2.15 BB/9. In spite of the innings being very limited, he's still averaged 13.4 FanDuel fantasy points per game, and his 2.71 xFIP would be a top 5 figure if he had enough...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, StarsDraft and DraftPot 9/30/15 A disclaimer on these daily baseball picks for tonight: many of the lineups are going to be altered due to the rain last night and the postseason coming up. Be sure to check the lineups of the players you ultimately decide to play and make sure they're starting before you submit your final lineup. If you want the rest? Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Drew Smyly - FD 8700 DK 9900 StarsDraft Opponent- Mia (Cosart) R Park- @TB I don't really like any of the high priced arms going tonight, so I'm going to rely on the medium priced arms. Drew Smyly's price has risen a good amount throughout the season in large part because his performance has warranted it. Smyly has a 10+ K/9 rate and an xFIP that's hovering around 3.5. These numbers are well above average, and he's been really hot recently (putting up 17+ FD points in 3 of his last 5). The Marlins have been a little above average against lefties this year, so this makes me a little nervous, but I still think there's enough upside here. I don't love the matchup, but Smyly is one of the safest arms on the slate for your 50/50's and multipliers. Andrew Cashner - FD 7300 DK 6100 StarsDraft Opponent- Mil (Davies) R Park- @Sd Another medium priced arm that you should consider is Andrew Cashner. He hasn't been quite as good as Smyly this year, but he does have a few things working in his favor tonight. For starters, he's facing the Brewers, who are below average against right-handed pitching. The Brewers are also striking out at about a 21% rate against righties, meaning there's potential for Cashner to pile up some K's. Lastly, this game is being played in the pitcher-friendly confines of Petco Park, which depresses power all around. This isn't the safest pick in the world, but I certainly think there's enough upside to grab Cashner, especially at this lowered price point. Tyler Lyons - FD 5100 DK 4300 StarsDraft Opponent- Pit (Cole) R Park- @Pit This is strictly a large tournament play only, and even still comes with a few contingencies. The main reason we're writing him for the games tonight is that Lyons is a quality pitcher coming at a price point normally reserved for elite hitters. But what could really push this value over the top is if...

Well folks, if all shakes right this will be my last regular season baseball picks for the year. Justin and James are going to take you home from here. It's been a fun ride and I'll be back for the playoffs. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Pitching is weird on this slate considering some of the prices and the matchups. Kershaw and Bumgarner are facing each other which negates some of their upside. Plus neither had a great matchup to begin with. That's going to leave us choosing some arms out of the top tier. Tyson Ross - FD 9100 DK 10300 StarsDraft Opponent- Mil (Lopez) R Park- @Sd If Ross can limit the walks then he becomes a solid option at these prices. Rather quietly he's put up a very nice season with a 3.13 xFIP and strikeout rate real close to 10 batters per nine. When he can limit the walks he's an excellent arm, though the free passes do bite him from time to time. They elevate his pitch count and inhibit him from going late in games. Today he's pitching at home where his numbers are slightly better on the season. Plus he's facing a Brewers team ranked in the bottom third of the league against righties. There are some big arms going on this slate, but points per dollar, Ross is a nice play. Johnny Cueto - FD 10500 DK 8300 StarsDraft Opponent- CWS (Samardzija) R Park- @cws Like, but don't love him on FanDuel. On DraftKings though, he's a fantastic value, bordering on must-start if it weren't for the park. Cueto hasn't been dominant of late and the strikeouts have really dipped. That's concerning of course, but his DraftKings price is worth the risk. Though the K's are down in the second half, I just think you are getting too good a price to get away from him. The White Sox rank 24th in the league against righty pitching this season and have very little to contend with after the middle of the order. Again, Cueto's drop in K's is concerning. But there isn't any injury news to speak of, so I want to be able to trust it's a blip. Catchers Travis d'Arnaud - FD 3000 DK 4300 StarsDraft Opponent- Phi (Buchanan) R Park- @Phi d'Arnaud is a better hitter against lefties, but thankfully for him...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, StarsDraft and DraftPot 9/28/15 The baseball season may be making a late season push for some of the playoff races, we are very much reaching the end. There aren't too many more DFS baseball slates to get some bread in on, so make them count. This is a smaller Monday slate, perfect to help you deal with the football hangover. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Corey Kluber - FD 9700 DK 11300 StarsDraft Opponent- Min (Hughes) R Park- @Cle It hasn't been all rainbows and unicorns for Kluber this season. I mean that literally. He has other hobbies and interests besides those two things. And in a figurative sense, he's fallen victim to some blowup games for sure so it isn't like I'm calling him a lock. But on the season, his numbers have been excellent, striking out close to 10 batters per nine and keeping that xFIP just a shade under three. For me, there is really no other cash game play. I'm more than willing to live with the downside considering his prices. There's just too much upside when things are working. He's a money line favorite and the Twins are one of the worst teams in the league against righties. He'll be a popular start today and for good reason. Yordano Ventura - FD 8700 DK 7200 StarsDraft Opponent- CHC (Hendricks) R Park- @Chc This one is more of a GPP play/ second pitcher on DraftKings. Ventura has shown some ability to pile on strikeouts in a game, though it isn't a consistent thing with him. But he is striking out about 8.5 batters per nine on the season and has run a little bad with the ERA as it's about 3/4 a run higher than his ERA. The Cubs strike out a ton as a team against righties (about 24%) so there's some reason to believe Ventura could add an extra K or two in this one. Again, not a safe play, but his DK price is low enough that you can pair him with Kluber. Catchers Victor Martinez - FD 2600 DK 3400 StarsDraft 4600 Opponent- Tex (Lewis) R Park- @Tex At this point it's pretty clear he's playing through an injury this year as the overall numbers are way down. His OPS is only in the .600's which is way off his career numbers. Now some of that is BABIP related...

Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Gio Gonzalez - FD 9600 DK 8300 StarsDraft Opponent- Phi (Harang) R Park- @Was Normally I wouldn't recommend Gio because of his tendency to wet the bed (not literally, but you get the point) and really hurt me in my cash games. But I really like the matchup here, so I'm going to throw him out there with a little reservation. The Phillies are in the bottom third of wOBA and OPS against lefties, and in the top third in K% at over 22%. This lines up nicely for Gio since he's been a little better this year than his ERA suggests due to an unsustainably high BABIP. I see him having a high number of strikeouts in this one, and his matchup against Aaron Harang gives him a solid shot at the win. Don't say I didn't warn you if he drops a dud, but I'm expecting a strong outing here. John Lackey - FD 9000 DK 10000 StarsDraft This is a safer pick than Gio in my opinion, but doesn't present quite as much upside. Lackey doesn't possess great strikeout stuff, but makes up for it by going deep in games and having an ERA of 2.74. The matchup against the Brewers is terrific for a number of reasons. They're in the bottom half of league in OPS and wOBA against righties and in the top 10 in K%. The real kicker here is that the Cardinals are heavy favorites in this one because quite honestly Tyler Cravy isn't ready for the big leagues just yet. He's been getting lit up ever since he made the jump to the majors, and a Cardinals offense that's getting their bats back from injury should take advantage. I like Lackey for a solid performance and I definitely like him for a win. Henry Owens - FD 5900 DK 6600 StarsDraft Opponent- Bal (Jimenez) R Park- @Bos Strictly a tournament play only unless you're the boldest of risk takers. The O's have been horrible this year against lefties, and Owens already has a very strong performance against them in Camden Yards on the year. His numbers aren't amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but the price for potential here is undeniable. If you want to load up on bats today for a tournament, Owens is your guy. Catchers Buster Posey -...
