A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Corey Kluber and Jake Arrieta in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Early Slate Hisashi Iwakuma FD 9000 DK 9200 Opponent - SD (Shields) Park - @SEAFD - 34.79 DK - 18.95 Don't trust Corey Kluber in the early slate? Then I recommend going with Hisashi Iwakuma. Iwakuma is always a risky play, but you got to love his matchup against the Padres. The Padres have struggled tremendously this season. They are coming into this contest owning a .126 ISO (29th in MLB) and .272 wOBA (30th in MLB). They have had their troubles getting base hits and hitting for power, which should help Iwakuma in this contest. This matchup also provides him with some upside. I know Iwakuma owns an 18.1 K% (which doesn't indicate any upside), but the Padres sport a 24.3 K% (4th in MLB) against right-handed pitching. Iwakuma is always a risky play, but I'm just going with the pitcher with the best matchup on this small three-game slate. Main Slate Jose Fernandez FD...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Ian Kennedy and Jeff Samardzija in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Early Slate Jose Quintana FD 9300 DK 11700 Opponent - NYM (Harvey) Park - @NYM FD - 37.27 DK - 21.21 I present to you the most underrated pitcher in baseball -- Jose Quintana. Quintana has been lights-out so far this season. He owns a 2.22 ERA that is backed up by a 2.11 FIP. He has been overshadowed by fellow southpaw Chris Sale, but trust me -- this guy is good! Look at his FIP for crying out loud! He will be going up against the Mets, which provides him with a beautiful matchup. They do hit righties well, but they struggle against southpaws. On the year, they own a .227 wOBA (27th in MLB) and 90 wRC+ (19th in MLB). Not only do they have a hard time creating runs and getting on base, but they also strikeout a ton, as they own a 27.8 K% (1st in MLB). So if you are looking...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Good God, there are some incredibly awful pitchers going today. It's probably a cop out to say "you can stack almost every team", so let's get to some of the most solid ones. Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) The Baltimore Orioles vs. Mike Clevinger Through 10 and a third innings this season, Mike Clevinger has allowed 10 earned runs. That's less than good. It's also just 10 innings, so we probably should look at his broader body of work. The truth about Clevinger is that he's really only been good at one stop throughout the minors - 158 innings in double A last year - and other than that he's been pretty underwhelming. Vegas has this at a 9 over/under, which is the 2nd highest non-Coors line of the day, and early returns have sharps pounding the over. All in all, people who know things think Clevinger is going to get rocked here. So who are our prime candidates? Chris Davis is an obvious choice, given his tendency to crush right handed pitching. But Adam Jones, Manny Machado, and Jonathan Schoop have also posted reverse platoon splits throughout their careers, favoring match-ups against righties. Even Mark Trumbo is topping a .900 OPS against right handers this season. Pedro Alvarez is .200 OPS points better against righties for his career. Don't be surprised if the Orioles chase Clevinger early and feast on the Indians' long men for a few innings here. San Francisco Giants vs. Chris Rusin (COL) To absolutely no one's surprise, given...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Early Slate Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) Milwaukee Brewers vs. Alfredo Simon (CIN) A lot of people are talking about a Coors stack (which I like a lot), but why not stack the Brewers? They will be going up against Alfredo Simon who has just been awful this season. He owns a 10.16 ERA, which is backed up by a 6.72 FIP. Things have not been pretty for him this season, so stack the Brew-Crew! Everyone on the Brewers side is in play. Batters 1-9. Yes, If I could roster Chase Anderson as a hitter, I probably would. These sites won't let me roster 9 Brewers, so I have narrowed it down for you guys. The guys I love are Ryan Braun (.415 wOBA), Jonathan Lucroy (.394 wOBA) (makes sure he starts), Aaron Hill (.354 wOBA) and Scooter Gennett (.151 ISO). These guys have had the most success against right-pitchers this season for the Brewers (exception of Gennet), so go ahead and get them on your squads. No one is a bad...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Danny Salazar, Kyle Hendricks, Noah Syndergaard and Zack Greinke in the Early Main Article and Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Michael Pineda FD 7600 DK 8500 Opponent - TB (Moore) Park - @TBFD - 33.81 DK - 19.13 Oh Pineda, welcome to my lineups. Please don't let me down. You have a beautiful matchup going up against the Tampa Bay Rays, but the best part about your matchup today, is the fact that this game will take place at Tropicana Field. You got this Pineda! I believe in you. (Just for today). On a series note-- Pineda has a nice matchup going up against the Rays. They own a .305 wOBA (22nd in MLB) to go along with a 95 wRC+ (17th in MLB) against right-handed pitching. These guys rely heavily on the long ball, which gives Pineda and his 45.4 GB% an advantage. And the best part about Pineda will be his ownership. Many people will see that he owns a 6.34 ERA and be on full-fade mode....
