Wyndham Championship Sedgefield Country Club - Greensboro, NC Par 71, 7,071 Yards The season's final major ended on a high note with Jason Day capturing his first career major championship. He looked poised and locked in from tee off through to the 18th hole tap in putt for the win. Jordan Spieth was the runner up and became only the third player(Tiger Woods & Jack Nicklaus) to place top 4 in all majors in one season. That wasn't the only milestone Jordan reached on Sunday. He passed Rory McIlroy to become the #1 player in the world. It has been an exciting year for major championship golf leaving us with the Fedex Cup Playoffs to close out the 2015 PGA Tour season. A four tournament race to the finish for the Fedex Cup trophy and 10 Million Dollar prize. Before we get to the playoffs we have one final tournament for players outside the top 125 to earn a spot in the playoff field. The PGA Tour heads to Greensboro, North Carolina this week for the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club. It is the final tournament before the Fedex Cup Playoffs begin at the Barclays. Those players outside the top 125 will have one last chance to lock up there spot. Most notably trying to get in will be Tiger Woods. He sits in 187th in the standings at almost 300 points behind 125th place. He will need at least a 2nd a place finish to have a shot. Back to the course. It isn't long but tee shots will have to be placed in the right spots to be able to hit the greens and more importantly put it close to have a birdie chance. The greens are undulating and smaller than average so not only will greens in regulation be important but proximity will be a must. With the greens being undulating and tougher than normal I will be looking for not only Strokes Gained Putting but also 3 Putt Avoidance.
