Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Corey Kluber - FD 11000 DK 12300 StarsDraft Opponent- KC (Ventura) R Park- @Cle Know this: he isn't a great points per dollar play on this slate. Dude's expensive and the Royals are a top ten team against righties this season. To boot, they don't strike out at all. That makes the margins on Kluber very small and he needs a lot to go right in order to hit any kind of value. The flip side is the rest of the slate's pitching is hot garbage and you are left with some very awkward decisions coming off the bump. From a raw points expectation he is the highest, but it comes at a cost. And like I said, it's a tad risky. Kluber's peripherals this seasons are fantastic with a K rate close to 10 per nine and walks rate under two. His 3.01 xFIP is close to elite and he's obviously one of the best pitchers in baseball. I just don't like the matchup. Chris Tillman - FD 6800 DK 5400 StarsDraft Opponent- TB (Moore) L Park- @TB I'm putting him on here strictly as a system cost play. Tillman is mediocre at best, bad at worst. But he has a couple of things going for him on this slate. One, he's cheap so you can load up on bats across the board. He's facing a Rays' team ranked 25th in the league against righties on the year and have very little when it comes to lefty pop. Plus Tillman is going in one of the best pitcher's parks in baseball. Again, dude's far from lights out and there's a reason I'm not using his actual stats to make a case here. But on a day in which pitching makes me a little nauseous, you might need to take a chance or two. Early Slate Special - Charlie Morton Catchers John Jaso - FD 2200 DK 2500 StarsDraft 3800 Opponent- Bal (Tillman) R Park- @TB Things I like about John Jaso: He's about the only catcher (eligible) in the league who hits leadoff for his team. This is an incredible advantage...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, StarsDraft and DraftPot 9/16/15 The MLB season rolls on in daily fantasy (and in real life I suppose), it's a grind but we love it. Baseball is the season that just keeps on giving and we've got a bunch of picks for your Wednesday games. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers David Price - FD 11900 DK 12500 StarsDraft Opponent- Atl (Miller) r Park- @Atl Here's your high-priced safe option for your 50/50's and double-ups. And to be quite honest, its not really close. Price has great numbers on the year, including an xFIP of 3.28 that puts him in the top ten among starting pitchers. Mix in an above average K/9 rate you've really got something. But the real value of this pick comes from the matchup against the Braves, who rank 27th in the league in wOBA and dead last in OPS against southpaws. Don't hesitate to roster Price because I fully expect him to be the top scoring pitcher of the evening. Alex Wood - FD 7900 DK 6600 StarsDraft Opponent- Col (de la Rosa) L Park- @Lad And here's your risky tournament play that could end up winning you quite a bit of cash. Wood has been strictly average this year, and none of his numbers really impress me (or anyone for that matter). So why do I recommend him? For the matchup of course, as the Rockies have been terrible against lefties this year. They rank 26th in OPS and 27th in wOBA against southpaw pitching, and those numbers include the boost they get from playing most of their games in a hitters paradise. It comes with quite a bit of risk involved, but picking Alex Wood gives you upside and enough flexibility to roster the big bats needed to do well in the big tourneys. Catchers I recommend going cheap at the catcher position today, so I'm starting off with Molina as my safe pick for this evening. Yadi has certainly struggled in the power department this year, but he's got a nearly 0.300 BA and an OPS over 0.700 on the year against right-handed pitching. Not numbers that win you a batting title or anything, but they're solid enough when they're matched up against Wily Peralta. Prelate has one of the lowest K/9 rates in the business, and Molina doesn't strikeout much. I expect Molina to pick up a couple...

Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Stephen Strasburg - FD 10100 DK 9800 StarsDraft Opponent- Phi (Buchanan) R Park- @Phi Let the record show that I never once stopped believing in the guy (except for that extended period this season where I clearly stopped believing in him). Strasburg is a labor of love for sure. He makes nothing easy and once you think it's all sorted out, he rips your heart of your chest with a massive blow up. But five of his last six games have lulled me into a state of non-denial about Stras as they've been solid with a couple bordering on lights out. Today he faces a Phillies' team that's struggled for most of the season. He's a huge favorite which means we are all starting to believe too much. And that's when Stras gonna Stras. Jacob deGrom - FD 11100 DK 11900 StarsDraft Opponent- Mia (Koehler) R Park- @Nym You won't have to break the bank on a couple of high upside pitchers today and I think you basically need to roll one of thee two guys (or even both on DraftKings). deGrom and Strasburg are really only the options as far as I'm concerned and the former is a great spot today. The Marlins rank dead last in the league against righty pitching and have been brutal all season long. They have just nothing to offer on the offensive side of the ball, striking out about 20% of the time and basically just stinking*. deGrom has struck out a batter an inning and limited the walks all season long. His floor is very high in the matchup as it's tough to imagine him getting chased early. *analysis Catchers Evan Gattis - FD 3000 DK 3700 StarsDraft 4900 Opponent- Tex (Holland) L Park- @Tex I associate the Grape with being a lefty killer, but that isn't necessarily the case. Gattis has been an even platoon guy over his career, though he's been above average against both hands. This season he's run very bad against lefties which has brought down his overall numbers. He...

Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers Hisashi Iwakuma - FD 9400 DK 8500 Victiv Opponent- Col (Bettis) R Park- @Sea As we've been over before, the Rockies are a much different hitting team when they are on the road. In fact, they stink. Outside of Coors the Rockies are one of the worst hitting teams in the league. And today they head into Safeco Field, one of the best pitcher's parks in all of baseball. Iwakuma isn't a big K guy, but he makes up for it some by limiting the walks. That helps with his xFIP which at 3.51 is a half run lower than the ERA. He's a solid -170 ML favorite in this one and though you are paying up a little too much for a guy without elite K stuff, the matchup and park tell the story on him today. Kyle Hendricks - FD 7700 DK 7200 Victiv Opponent- Phi (Asher) R Park- @Phi The recent game log doesn't tell the story of a pitcher you want to throw out in cash games. But there are some reasons to like Hendricks today. He's facing a light-hitting Phillies' squad who while improved in the second half for sure, are still nothing more than a below average offense. They aren't a bottom-feeding team by any means, but they aren't all that good either. Hendricks is a -200 ML favorite and brings solid peripherals into the game with a K rate close to eight per nine and a mid 3's xFIP. Not a great ballpark, but is the biggest favorite for the win on the day. Justin Verlander - FD 8800 DK 9400 Victiv Opponent- Cle (Anderson) R Park- @Cle I feel like I've written this almost every time he's pitched over the last month or so, but Verlander's been a totally different pitcher in the second half of the season. He's upped the K's to about eight per nine, and is rocking an elite 5:1 K:BB ratio in that time. So I like him in a vacuum. I don't love the matchup with the Indians who are an average team against righties and really don't strike out all that much. Verlander won't kill you on price, so there's some room for error. But not much. This is more about the day's pitching slate being tough sledding. Catchers Russell Martin - FD...
Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, StarsDraft and DraftPot 9/9/15
Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, StarsDraft and DraftPot 9/9/15 Let's get right to Wednesday's picks for an almost full slate (thanks for playing early Cubs and Cards). The pitching is going to let you spend up for some bats here which could mean for some interesting scores at the end of the day. If you want the rest? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Victiv. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Pitchers James Shields - FD 8500 DK 9400 Victiv Opponent- Col (Rusin) L Park- @Sd My man is anything but safe, that's for sure. He's been crushed all seasons by the long ball, a trend that doesn't look like simply a blip on the radar. His Hr/FB ratio is an absurd 17.7%. He's also walking far too many batters. Those two things are a lethal combination (the kind of lethal where he's getting killed) and they've sunk his season as compared to the contract. So why am I putting him this high up in the picks? Well, he's facing a Rockies team that ranks third to last in the league on the road this season. When they get away from Coors, it gets awfully pedestrian for this squad. And Shields does have strikeout stuff. If he can avoid the dong at home in San Diego then I think his salary makes it worth the risk. And some of the other pitching prospects on this slate have their own issues. Julio Teheran - FD 8000 DK 8500 Victiv Opponent- Phi (Buchanan) R Park- @Phi I get that the Phillies have had fits and starts of offensive production lately, but they still aren't necessarily a dynamic offense in the aggregate. Teheran is in the middle tier of pricing which is where I think you almost need to go on this slate. Paying up for Strasburg or deGrom feels like it can go horribly for each and I'm not positive their downsides outweigh the price tags especially in facing each other. Teheran's struggled some this season, though if he can limit the walks he's able to go deep enough into games to pay these price tags. Again, this is more about the state of today's pitching than it is about any real confidence in Teheran. But I think the floor is high enough to play in cash games. Catchers Buster Posey - FD 3600 DK 4700 Victiv 5400 Opponent- Ari (Godley) R Park- @Ari Because under almost no circumstance are you going to be paying through the roof...
