Despite there being very little to play for, it should still make for an exciting day of soccer and it’ll inevitably provide us with an opportunity to make some money. Hugo Lloris undoubtedly offers the best value of the goalkeepers in this slate at a cheap price of $3,900. Tottenham face the already relegated Newcastle United on Sunday and a victory and a clean sheet would secure Lloris an extra 10 points on top of those he earns throughout the match. In my opinion, there’s a good chance of Lloris earning all 10 points because a victory would result in Tottenham finishing above their rivals, Arsenal, therefore they still have a little something to play for. Joe Hart – DK $4,200 Opponent – Swansea City A victory for Manchester City on Sunday and they’ll be guaranteed a top 4 finish this season and subsequently, Joe Hart is a good option in goal. Manchester City face Swansea City who happen to be one of the weaker sides in the Premier League and therefore an away victory is the most likely outcome. Furthermore, this is Manuel Pellegrini’s final match in charge of Manchester City and as a result, I suspect his players will give their all on one final...

Top of the table, Leicester City secured the Premier League title after Tottenham failed to be Chelsea on Monday evening and Leicester’s League success has been sounded out as the biggest shock in sporting history. At $3,700, Courtois offers excellent value given the opposition he faces. Sunderland are 18th in the Premier League table and subsequently, a Chelsea victory is likely. This is significant, because goalkeepers receive five points if their side wins and a further side if they keep a clean sheet, therefore a strong goalkeeper is essential. Sunderland have struggled at home this season, they’ve only won four of their 17 home matches and have only scored 17 goals at the Stadium of Light. Ben Foster – DK $3,400 Opponent – Bournemouth Is your side slightly over budget with Courtois in goal? Then Ben Foster is a good alternative option at $3,400 and the Englishman also offers good value, similarly to Courtois. Admittedly, Bournemouth aren’t the easiest of opposition, however West Brom are a very good side defensively. They’ve conceded just 46 this all season, of the sides in the bottom half of the table, only Watford have conceded fewer. The majority of sides have three matches remaining and it looks like Leicester City will do the unthinkable and win the Premier League. A victory at Old Trafford versus Manchester United would secure the title, however Leicester play on Sunday and it’s Saturday’s Premier League slate that I’ll be focusing on in this article. Goalkeepers receive five points if their side wins and another five if they keep and clean sheets and there’s every chance Gomes will pick up all ten points. Aston Villa have lost their last ten matches and they’ve only scored in two of their last seven matches. Watford on the other hand have proved to be a good Premiership side, they’re 12th in the table and have only conceded 40 goals all season. Adrian – DK $3,900 Opponent – West Bromwich Albion Adrian is a good alternative option to Heurelho Gomes and is priced marginally cheaper at $3,900. The Spaniard has averaged seven points per match this season and that can be bettered by very few goalkeepers. Furthermore, the West Ham United goalkeeper faces West Brom who are one of the lesser sides in the Premier League. They’ve only scored 32 goals all season, only Aston Villa have scored fewer and this is significant because Adrian will receive five points if he keeps a clean sheet. Moreover, goalkeepers lose two points each time they concede a goal, therefore it’s crucial that they don’t concede too many.   Defenders Phil Bardsley – DK 3,000 Opponent – Sunderland Phil Bardsley...

This weekend, Fraser Forster is my preferred choice against the worst side in the Premier League, Aston Villa. Villa have lost 24 of their 34 League matches this season and a Southampton victory looks a certainty, thus would result in Forster receiving 5 points. Furthermore, the Premier League’s bottom club have scored just 23 goals this campaign, that’s considerably fewer than any other side and this is significant because goalkeepers receive 5 points if they keep a clean sheet. They also lose 2 points every time they concede a goal, however it is extremely unlikely that we’ll see Villa score a mass of goals against Southampton who are one of the best sides in the League defensively. Danny Ward – DK $2,900 Opponent – Newcastle United First of all, it’s important to note that Danny Ward is no guaranteed starter for Liverpool on Saturday, therefore you should ensure that Ward starts before fielding the Welshman. Personally, I think Ward may be in the starting eleven as Klopp looks to rest his first team ahead of the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday. Should Ward start over Mignolet, there’s a good chance he’ll be a high point-scorer. Liverpool face Newcastle who sit 19th in the League table and...

Man United are the overwhelming favourites to beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday and a victory would earn De Gea five points. Furthermore, United are a very good side defensively, they’ve conceded just 30 goals all season, only Tottenham have conceded fewer. This is significant because goalkeepers receive an extra five points if they keep a clean sheet. Finally, Man United’s opponents, Crystal Palace are on a very poor run of form, they’ve only won one Premier League game this year. Heurelho Gomes – DK $3,300 Opponent – West Ham United An expensive goalkeeping option isn’t for everyone and Heurelho Gomes is a good alternative to David De Gea and is considerably cheaper. Watford are one of the best sides in the League defensively, they’ve only conceded 37 goals thus far this season, that’s fewer than any other side outside the top seven in the League table. As a result, the Watford keeper, Gomes is a good option despite a tricky match away at Upton Park.   Defenders Callum Connolly – DK 2,000 Opponent – Liverpool Everton full back, Callum Connolly probably isn’t going to be the highest of point-scorers, however he’s a must have at $2,000 considering he is likely to start versus Liverpool.
