Patrick Mahomes is QB4 in DraftKings scoring on the season this one could be something of a shootout. You are paying a premium on Mahomes for sure, but there should be cheaper running backs to smooth salary concerns out for overall lineup construction. Geno Smith FD 7000 DK 6000 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 18.45 DK - 18.45 Gen Smith is coming cheaper on both sites and gets one of the best matchups on the slate facing off against the Cardinals at home. He isn’t having quite the season we saw last year, off that pace in terms of yards and touchdowns with the completion percentage down as well. But the Cardinals have the 31st-ranked defense on the season and this is a get-right spot for sure. I like stacking Geno and Kenneth Walker (will get to him in a second) in cash games because the floor should be very high for the offense in general. Running Back Isiah Pacheco FD 7400 DK 6100 Opponent LACProj Points FD - 16.27 DK - 18.22 Having exposure to the Chiefs after Mahomes can get tough because, at least in the pass game, the wide receivers are all over the place. And Travis Kelce is very expensive. But Pacheco is still coming at something of a value. He’s playing about 60-65% of the offensive snaps and last week had elite usage with 16 carries and 6 targets. This kind of role in one of the best offenses in football is too good to pass up and his price doesn’t match at all. Kenneth Walker III FD 8800 DK 7000 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 16.85 DK - 18.34 While he’s expensive on FanDuel, this is definitely a spot to play Kenneth Walker on DraftKings considering the context. We love playing home running backs on teams that are big favorites and that’s the case with the Seahawks here. They are -8 against the Cardinals who rank 29th in run defense on the season. He completed 36 of his 46 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with Ja'Marr Chase over and over (and over and over) again through the air. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling here against the Seahawks who don’t provide a ton of threats in coverage and are allowing the most opponent plays per game on the season. Matthew Stafford FD 7300 DK 6100 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 20.32 DK - 20.32 We typically like to focus on running quarterback for cash simply because their respective floors are so much higher when they can get points on the ground. That being said, there’s a case to be made for Matthew Stafford here considering the matchup against the Arizona, the game total, and his weapons. The Cardinals allow a top 25% pace to opponents and rank 25th in average yard per pass attempt. Stafford has been putting the ball in the air around 40 times per game and now has both Cooper Kupper and Puka Nacua to target. Strongly consider Kirk Cousins going against a terrible Bears defense. Running Back Raheem Mostert FD 8500 DK 6400 Opponent CARProj Points FD - 18.88 DK - 20.71 De'Von Achane is out with an injury and we could be headed back to the Raheem Mostert show on the ground for the Miami Dolphins. Back in Week 2 when Achane was injured, Mostert got 73% of the snaps and carried the ball 18 times for 121 yards and two scores. That kind of workload could be in the cards once again in the game against the Panthers. It doesn’t look like Jeff Wilson is back in the mix and Salvon Ahmed is just there for relief even when healthy. Dial up Mostert here in cash without reservation. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson FD 8400 DK 7800 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 21.66 DK - 21.66 Zay Flowers FD 5900 DK 5500 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 12.84 DK - 15.54 Mark Andrews FD 7600 DK 5500 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 10.66 DK - 13.09 In our main picks article, Doug mentioned he liked Hurts slightly more than Mahomes in the top tier and I think the ownership rounds out that way, as well. With that said, I think there is a great opportunity to pivot to a lower-owned stack with similar upside. This game has the lowest total on the slate but the Steelers' defence has been pretty bad ranking 30th overall in yards per game, 26th against the run, and 29th against the pass. On top of that, they rank dead last in yards per completion(12.7) and 22nd in redzone defence. It all starts with Lamar who leads all QBs in rushing attempts per game(10.3) and rushing yards(220) and has hit a higher ceiling in fantasy points than both Hurts and Mahomes and has done it in back-to-back weeks. While Flowers has yet to score and have that breakout game, he has been consistent, catching 83% of his targets and also has a 42% target share in the redzone for the Ravens. The price is still very fairly price making him my favorite stacking option with Lamar. The final piece for me is Mark Andrews who is third in pricing among tight ends this week and has looked good since returning from injury scoring three touchdowns in two games. If he can get back to a heavy target share and high-yardage games, we likely haven't seen the ceiling yet.
