That's right, it's time for the first major and biggest event in golf, the Masters. This year's field contains 91 players including each of the Top 10 and 48 of the Top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. As always, we are never short of narratives to follow so before we get into the fantasy-related content of the article, let's look at a few that stand out the most. Tiger Woods return??? All the talk over the last 7-10 days has been that the GOAT is still on the Masters field list which progressed to people tracking his private jet from Florida and eventually led to a confirmed practice round last week. Who is excited? I am not sure what to expect from a DFS standpoint but you know that if Tiger does play, he will be gunning to win another Green Jacket, not just walk around and enjoy the sites and sounds. Stay tuned for updates. You won't have to look very hard for them(lol). Hard not to start with Scottie Scheffler who is the hottest player on the planet and the new #1 player in the world. He comes into this years' Masters with three wins(Dell Match Play, Arnold Palmer Invitational, Phoenix Open) in his last three events and has tallied a Top 20 in both previous appearances at Augusta. Does he make a fourth win in...

Making it even better this time around is the fact this is the second trip to Augusta National in the last five months but unlike November, there will be patrons to cheer on this elite field. Every one of the Top 50 players in the World is teeing up this week with the news that Brooks Koepka is going to give it a try after dealing with an injury. As it should be, Augusta National Golf Club is annually one of the toughest tests on Tour ranking 11th, 16th, 7th, 2nd, and 3rd hardest over the last five years. It's a long Par 72 setup that stretches out over 7,400 yards. The fairways may be wide and see above-average driving accuracy in relation to other events but the real challenge comes on the approach to these very undulated and fast greens with natural run-offs that can really get you into trouble. Not only do you need to be on point with your irons to have a shot at birdie opportunities but you also need to have a strong scrambling/around the green game as to not hemorrhage strokes to the field. Let's now take a look at the scorecard, previous winners, breakdown of the key stats, and then get into the core plays. It will be a bit different this time around but what about 2020 has been normal? One thing will remain the same and that is an elite field of players teeing it up on the most famous course in the World. Augusta National Golf Club may look a bit different in the Fall but it will still play like it always has, tough! That's right, ANGC has ranked 16th, 7th, 2nd, 3rd, and 14th hardest over the last five years. The first thing I look at when putting my model together is distance as the course is a Par 72 that stretches out to almost 7,500 yards while having some generous fairways to hit. One thing we always here about in relation to the off the tee game is a right to left ball flight(draw for RH golfers, fade for LH golfers) as there are six Par 4's and two Par 5's that are shaped this way. It isn't everything but Tiger Woods(x4), Patrick Reed(2018), Sergio Garcia(2017), Bubba Watson(x2), Phil Mickelson(x3), Zach Johnson(2007), Adam Scott(2013), and Mike Weir(2003) make up 14 of the last 19 Green Jackets, all with right to left ball flights. I don't have this weighted into any model but when it comes down to a Golfer A vs. Golfer B decision, I will most definitely be looking at this closer. The biggest challenge at Augusta is the bentgrass greens which are very fast and undulated with shaved edges creating a ton of runoffs. Even with around 68% of the field hitting the fairway on...

The Masters Masters week is finally here! Even the casual golf fan realizes the magnitude of this iconic tournament hosted at Augusta National Golf Club. It was Sergio Garcia who, after 73 previous Majors starts, finally broke through here at Augusta and became the Masters Champion last season. It was an epic battle on back nine with Justin Rose that eventually went to a sudden-death playoff where Garcia's two-putt par was enough to take home the hardware and his first ever Major Championship. This year he will look to defend his title against a star-studded field that includes nine of the Top 10 and 49 of the World's Top 50 players. Four-time Masters Champion, Tiger Woods, is also back in the field here at Augusta and has been making the move up the Official World Golf Ranking list as he started outside of 650th before the Hero World Challenge in December and has made his way to #103 entering the week with back to back Top 5 finishes at the Valspar Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational. The Masters also marks the first DraftKings Milli Maker of the year and with that, we get some very soft pricing. From a strategy standpoint, this is a great week to construct your lineups and leave salary on the table to separate your lineups from the field. I am not just talking a couple hundred but rather $500-$1,000 in some spots, especially if running multiple lineups. Also, keep in mind that the cut this week is the Top 50 players and ties through two days along with any player that is within 10 strokes of the lead. Let's now take a look at the course makeup and preview some of the top stats. The Course Augusta National Par 72 - 7,435 Yards Greens - Bentgrass Greens **Click HERE or the pic above to see a...
