Daily NFL Fantasy Football Thoughts for FanDuel and DraftKings Heading into Week 8
Daily NFL Fantasy Football Thoughts for FanDuel and DraftKings Heading into Week 8 It was an interesting week in the NFL to say the very least. The Dolphins looked like a real, living breathing team for the second week in a row. The quarterback's post game Vine went wild. A bunch of games went down to the wire (even when it looked like they were over quick). And so much more. Here are a few things that stood out from Week 7 and what we can look for going to Week 8. I mean guys crop up all the time, and there are even a few on the horizon coming this week. But to see what happened, especially at running back and DST this week, won't happen every week. Here take a look at the highest owned players on FanDuel this week in 50/50s. [table id=195 /] Chalk doesn't always play but at running back and DST, it didn't really make sense to get away from those guys. In our system, LeVeon Bell was projected for slightly more points than Freeman at a little better pts/$. But I opted for Freeman because A: it was close and B: I didn't think that was the right kind of spot to get away from the pack. Freeman didn't pay, but the process on it was of course sound. There are times to get away from chalk plays on a slate, especially when popularity is narrative-based rather than performance-based. But this week wasn't one of them in the RB pack. WR's disappointed some though not all the way down the line. Fitz was of course a bust in a matchup that had everything going for him. And Deandre Hopkins' output went to Nate Washington (a DFSR value play, *cough*brag*cough*). Weird week in the WR ranks for sure. Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for Draftpot - Week 7 Welcome to the Week 7 DFS NFL picks article for Draftpot, a brand new way to play fantasy sports. Draftpot is similar to other DFS sites except there is no salary cap restrictions. They offer two separate game types(Fan Mode/GM Mode). For NFL, Fan Mode allows you to build a roster of 1 QB,2 RB,3 WR,1 TE,2 FLEX,1 K,1 DEF without salary restrictions. You can roster anyone you want. In GM Mode, you also roster the same positions but have a Drafpot Points Per Game(DPPG) cap. Each player have a PPG value attached to their name which is a reflection of their previous 16 games played. This gives a more transparent look at player value. Need other NFL Picks? Chris Raybon's Week 7 NFL Plays are up as well as our Week 7 Value Picks. Overlay Alert and Free Access to our Projections! DraftPot has a $100K Guaranteed contest for NFL's Week 6 that's less than 15% FULL. Sign up and deposit with the promo code "DFSR" to get 100% matching bonus up to $1000. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial When making my picks I will be looking at a multitude of information (Vegas lines, totals and player props, targets, defensive matchups, injuries, offensive line rankings and of course DPPG) to break down all the players in the pool to provide you with the best analysis possible for the slate at hand. If you missed out on Week 6 at DraftPot, you missed out on a large amount of overlay. Don't worry though. They are doing it again this week with their $12 entry, $100,000 Guarantee Touchdown Fan Mode tournament. It pays $10,000 to first and is bound to have more overlay again this weekend. Get in on the action while there is still time. To win a tournament in Fan Mode you won't be able to just pick the top players at their positions each week. You will need to differentiate yourself with some low ownership picks. One way I love doing this is picking good players who are coming off a bad to horrible week. Recency bias plays a huge part in...

Value and Sleeper Picks for Daily Fantasy NFL Football for FanDuel, DraftKings, and DraftPot - Week 7 It's another value picks and sleepers article for the 2015 NFL season! With a couple of weeks under our belts, some players are already undervalued on DraftKings and FanDuel. Roles change more rapidly in NFL than they do anywhere else, leaving us a huge opportunity to get to cashing in. Here are some guys that our projection system likes that you might not see elsewhere. We've also got Chris Raybon's Week 7 NFL picks sitting there waiting for you to digest. Want to find more sleepers and potential breakout daily fantasy football stars for the NFL in week 5? Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial This is an interesting week in the NFL. There are a great many chalk plays going that we already know about. For instance, Devontae Freeman, Todd Gurley, Gates and the Rams D are the chalkiest plays at their positions. Chalk doesn't make a play wrong mind you. These players (team) have big expectations relative to their dollar value. But it will be difficult to get bug separation from the field in a tournament, especially if you are rostering all of them. Below I'll take a look at some possibly lesser owned players. QUARTERBACKS Quick note: Chris already covered Landry Jones in his main picks article. He's a prime value play on the week considering he has a number of different weapons at his disposal and is coming very cheap. I don't think he's a must play or anything as he's a relatively unknown commodity. But he would be in this write up for sure had he not appeared in the main picks. Nick Foles - FD 6400 DK 5100 Opponent- CLE Once again, your weekly reminder that these are the "Uber Safe Super Locks of the Week". I always feel like I need to say that, especially with the quarterback plays we throw out there in this article. Foles is about as consistent as your buddy who's got the best arm in your backyard football game. But he does have some upside in this matchup. The Browns are clearly worse against the run (which helps the Gurley everywhere case), but they are only league average against the pass. In some ways adding more of a running game for the Rams will cut into Foles production (or lack thereof at times) but it could have the benefit of opening...

Daily Fantasy NFL Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – Week 7
Daily Fantasy NFL Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - Week 7 Editor's note: Get ready for Raybon's insightful article on NFL's week 7! He's done an amazing job breaking down the top plays of the week, but obviously, he could never include every single great play. If you want point projections for individual players? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial This week I want to discuss roster construction, and more specifically, why it’s unwise to think about players in a vacuum. I often get asked the question, “You have to have player X in your lineup this week, right?” That question is always hard to answer because players can’t be thought of in a vacuum. Every player you roster affects the rest of your lineup. For example, last week on FanDuel I really wanted to get Tom Brady into my cash game lineup. However, no lineup I made with Brady made me feel as comfortable as I’d have liked. By paying up for Brady, I felt that I was unnecessarily sacrificing consistency at multiple other spots. So I pivoted to Philip Rivers at $1,500 less, which allowed me to build around a RB core of Matt Forte and Arian Foster while still fitting in Julian Edelman, Larry Fitzgerald, and Antonio Gates. The fact that Rivers outscored Brady is irrelevant; what’s important is that I was attempting to ensure my entire lineup was strong, rather than getting sucked in to the narrative of “got to play Brady in a revenge game” or even the fact of Brady being the top fantasy QB. You can always start constructing a lineup building around an expensive top play and see where it goes, but if you don’t feel good about the lineup after you’ve filled in all the slots, don’t force it. One good play alone won’t win you a week. QUARTERBACKS Andrew Luck - FD 8900 DK 7600 Opponent- NO Fresh off a 312-yard, three-TD performance against the Patriots, Luck gets to square off against a Saints team allowing the second-most fantasy points in the league to QBs. The only QBs the Saints have been able to hold under 295 yards and two TDs are Jameis Winston and Brandon Weeden. Carson Palmer - FD 8200 DK 6700 Opponent- BAL Palmer faces the Ravens, who have allowed the most fantasy points per game in the league to opposing QBs. The Ravens have allowed 340 or more passing yards in four of six games; the...
