If you missed out on Week 3 at DraftPot, you missed out on a large amount of overlay. Don't worry though. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial As we approach the end of the first quarter of the NFL season, DFS salaries are starting to see major movement away from where they started the season. Some of the price changes are legitimate, but some are simply due to “noise” rather than “signal” – in other words, early season variance. Price drops – absent injury or change in workload – tend to be predictive of future value. A the season starts to progress, it’s important to look out for unwarranted price drops and also avoid players with rising salaries, unless the rise is warranted. You can compare a player’s current salary not only to his season-opening salary, but also to his historical salary. For example, last week, Jimmy Graham’s FanDuel price was the lowest it’s been since 2010, so his 7-83-1 line last week provided even more value than usual. I mentioned Cam Newton’s $800 price drop as well last week, and he finished as a top-three scorer at his position. Then there were big days from A.J. Green and Jeremy Maclin, who had also seen large decreases in salary. QUARTERBACK Aaron Rodgers - FD 9200 DK 7900 Starsdraft 8300 Opponent- SF Whereas the value of other fantasy football positions depends on workload volume, efficiency is crucial at the QB position. That’s what makes Aaron Rodgers a top play facing off against the 49ers, who are allowing a whopping 10.0 yards per pass attempt, worst in the NFL. Take advantage of the fact that Rodgers’ price didn’t increase despite a 333-yard, 5-TD shellacking of the Chiefs. Andrew Luck - FD 9100 DK 7800 Starsdraft 8500 Opponent- JAC Luck’s price is slowly declining and he’s in a good spot at home against a Jaguars defense that he shredded for 52-of-71 (73 percent) passing, 623 yards (8.8 yards/attempt), five TDs, and no picks in two meetings last season. The Jaguars didn’t get a true test Week 1 against Cam Newton, who ran on a third of his dropbacks, but gave up 359 yards and two TDs to Ryan Tannehill in Week 2 and 358 yards and two TDs to...
Great Value Picks for Daily Fantasy NFL Football for FanDuel, DraftKings, and DraftPot – Week 4
Value and Sleeper Picks for Daily Fantasy NFL Football for FanDuel, DraftKings, and DraftPot - Week 4 It's our third value picks and sleepers article of the 2015 NFL season! With a couple of weeks under our belts, some players are already undervalued on DraftKings and FanDuel. Roles change more rapidly in NFL than they do anywhere else, leaving us a huge opportunity to get to cashing in. Here are some guys that our projection system likes that you might not see elsewhere. We've also got Chris Raybon's Week 4 NFL picks sitting there waiting for you to digest. Want to find more sleepers and potential breakout daily fantasy football stars for the NFL in week 4? Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks. Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, DraftKings and Starsdraft. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial QUARTERBACK This is one position I'm not going to spend a ton of time with. Chris gave you Derek Carr and Colin Kaepernick, two QBs coming very much on the cheaper side with rather high expectations. Both of their DraftKings prices are ridiculously low and offer a ton of flexibility there. So you can understand why a deeper dive isn't as much in demand this time around. Kirk Cousins - FD 6100 DK 5400 Starsdraft 5200 Opponent- PHI You need to have a strong stomach for plays like this. But Cousins showed last week he wasn't a complete corpse with a QB1 sticker next to his name. granted his touchdown pass came in garbage time, but Cousins did throw the ball close to 50 times. There's some reason to believe he sees enough volume in this game to get near a similar number of attempts. The Eagles allow the most plays per game to opposing teams at 71.7 (tied with Buffalo) which carries over the tradition from last year where they were also right at the most in the league. Just having Cousins on the field more could get his prices up and over the value markers. And on the off chance he throws say, two touchdowns, then you are really in the clear. Quick note: I think you can also consider Tyrod Taylor against the Giants for some of the reasons I outlined in my NFL Week 3 wrap up piece. RUNNING BACK Thomas Rawls - FD 6000 DK 3000 Starsdraft 4700 Opponent- DET This is if, and only if, Marshawn Lynch were to sit out on Monday night. The problem of course with a play like this is whether you will know or not. On FanDuel that's...
Daily NFL Fantasy Football Thoughts for FanDuel and DraftKings Heading into Week 4
Daily NFL Fantasy Football Thoughts for FanDuel and DraftKings Heading into Week 4 Week Three is in the books and it was a Sunday that saw some big games from little running backs, a few more injuries and some big time question marks from elite players. We won't get too much into picks for NFL's Week Four, that'll get taken care of around Wednesday. For now, let's just look at a few things that came up in Week Three. Click here for a free 3 Day Free Trial Big Ben's Knee Folds and the City of Pittsburgh Dies a Little Inside When his knee bent back into an odd reverse L position against the Rams I felt a little squeamish. And his on-field reaction makes the 4-6 timetable for Big Ben's return almost a gift. See what expectations can do to us? But in the short term, that might have spelled the end to Antonio Brown's insane level of production . I suppose there are worse backups in the world than Michael Vick who was able to come in and at least complete some passes later in the game. I doubt the Steelers ask too much of him, though he's in a solid position because the rest of their weapons are elite players. Because leagues for next Thursday's game had already been published at the time of the injury, Vick is basically a min-priced starting quarterback with a top 1 wide receiver and top 3(?) running back at his disposal. We will need to downgrade the Steelers' weapons for the foreseeable future until we see how Vick handles the offense. Though it would be insane to think he's more than 75% as effective as Roethlisberger at the very best. Antonio Brown was converting targets at a nearly unsustainable rate this season. I imagine it's right around now he starts regressing. Special Offer DraftPot has a $100K Guaranteed contest for NFL's Week 3. Arizona Cardinals - Scoring points everywhere No team in the league has put up more points in the first three weeks of the season than the Arizona Cardinals. They've gone for 31, 48 and 47 respectively. Granted they weren't facing the 85 Bears in that stretch, but putting up that kind of production consistently against any random sampling of three NFL teams is staggering. That two of the games...
