A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Chicago Cubs vs. Edwin Jackson (SD) What more could you ask for? One of the best offenses in the league will be going up against Edwin Jackson and his 5.41 xFIP? Maybe a cheaper price tag but [wow], they are in an excellent spot. The ballpark isn't ideal, but we know what this offense is capable of. Plus, it's Edwin Jackson we're talking about. He owns a 1.51 WHIP on the year, to go along with a 10.6 BB% and 5.36 ERA. It will be tough to go with a full-on Cubs stack, but if you're going with a cheaper pitching option -- the Cubs look great tonight. My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Ben Zobrist, Anthony Rizzo, Dexter Fowler and Kris Bryant Colorado Rockies vs. Jimmy Nelson(MIL) This game might not be at Coors, but I still like a Rockies stack tonight. They will be going up against Jimmy Nelson, who has struggled this season. He's very similar to Edwin Jackson: The walks are high as well as his WHIP. The only difference is...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Jon Lester and Stephen Strasburg in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets David Price FD 10000 DK 11000 Opponent - TB (Snell) Park - @TBFD - 38.78 DK - 25.69 Jon Lester is the clear-cut cash game play of the day, but there are a few intriguing options that I like for tournaments. And the first guy on the list is, David Price. David Price has had another David Price year. Sure, his ERA is 4.19, but his peripherals suggest that he's having another great year. He's sporting a 3.42 xFIP, to go along with a 24.0 K% and 3.54 SIERA. Not only is he cheaper than Lester, but he also draws a matchup that could make him the pitcher with the most fantasy point on the night. Today, he's going back home! He will be pitching at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Park, to take on the Rays. On the year, the Rays haven't been all that against southpaws. They're sporting a .315 wOBA (22nd in MLB) and a 98 wRC+ (19th in MLB). Not only have they had some trouble against southpaws, but they also own a whooping 25.5 K% (highest in MLB) against them. This matchup sets Price up to do a whole lot of fanning, so I wouldn't be surprised if he hit double-digit strikeout numbers tonight. He's an excellent GPP play. Carlos Carrasco FD 10300 DK 11500 Opponent - OAK (Triggs) Park - @OAKFD - 34.79 DK - 22.92 Next on the list we have, Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco draws a...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Danny Duffy and Gio Gonzalez in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Corey Kluber FD 10800 DK 11800 Opponent - TOR (Stroman) Park - @CLEFD - 38.05 DK - 25.07 Some people will shy away from the Kluber-Nator against the Blue Jays, but not me. I believe this is an excellent tournament play and he easily has the highest ceiling on the night. Some of you already think I'm crazy, so let me explain why I'll be targeting Corey Kluber this afternoon: To start off, Corey Kluber is one of the top starters in the game today. He owns a 3.40 xFIP to go along with a 1.02 WHIP and 25.3 K%. His numbers are a thing of beauty, and you have to love the fact that fans 25% of the batters he faces. That just yells upside to me, especially against this Jays' squad. While the Blue Jays have some of the best power hitters in the game, they do strikeout out a ton. They are coming into today's with a 23.1 K% (5th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. Not only does Kluber have that to his advantage, but the Jays' offense has also been cold as of late.. In their last 30 contests, they are boasting a .308 wOBA (24th in MLB) along with a whooping 26.3 K% (highest in MLB). It's never easy pick a pitcher to go against this powerful Jays' lineup, but they are fanning left-and-right and will be going up against one of the most dominant...

Stack Targets Washington Nationals vs. Tyrell Jenkins (ATL) I won't be touting the obvious Coors plays in this article, instead I will give you three other stacking options that I'm looking to target on tonight's slate. And it all starts with the Nationals. Tyrell Jenkins owns a -4.4 K-BB% and 6.04 xFIP on the year! He's been horrible this season, which is why I am all over this Nationals' squad. Not only is Jenkins bad, but this Nats' offense is pretty good as well. In the last 30 days, they own a .330 wOBA (5th in MLB) and 107 wRC+ (7th in MLB). Not very often you see a starter with an xFIP and SIERA over six, which is why I'm in love with the Nats'. My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Trea Turner, Anthony Rendon, Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Clayton Richard (SD) Talk about another stack I really like tonight! I'm all over the D'backs tonight. They will be going up against Clayton Richard, who has struggled so far this season. On...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Felix Hernandez and Max Scherzer in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Chris Sale FD 10500 DK 12000 Opponent - OAK (Detwiler) Park - @CHWFD - 37.06 DK - 24.3 Felix Hernandez and Max Scherzer will be the focus on tonight's slate, but don't sleep on southpaw, Chris Sale! This kid is pretty darn good! On the year, the southpaw is boasting a 24.5 K%, 1.04 WHIP and 3.74 xFIP. Sale has had another great year with the White Sox this season, and has an intriguing matchup going up against the Athletics. While the A's don't strikeout a whole lot (under 20% on the year), this is still a great matchup for Sale. In the last two weeks, the A's own a .294 wOBA and .84 wRC+, which both rank 27th during that span. They have also struggled offensively all season long, so go ahead and use Sale in some GPP's. A K% under 20 is never a good thing, but hey -- the Braves also strikeout under 20% (Scherzer's matchup) and Sale does own a 24.5 K%! Do your thing, Mr. Sale! Robbie Ray FD 8300 DK 10300 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @SDFD - 34.52 DK - 22.7 Robbie Ray is an excellent GPP play of the day! He get's a huge park boost, heading from Arizona to San Diego, which will certainly help him out. The other thing I love about Ray today is his matchup. He will be going up against the Padres, which is a team...
