GOALIES John Gibson FD - $8400 DK - $7900 Opponent - CGY Proj Pts FD - 17.59 DK - 4.4 I didn't have to look for very long today to realize that Gibson is the main man between the pipes in this medium sized 6 game Sunday slate. The Flames are playing their 3rd road in game in 4 nights after they got shutout late last night in Los Angeles. Calgary sits 18th in the league with 2.62 goals scored per game, and the Ducks are deadly on home ice and are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Coyotes on Friday evening and as of this morning they are a -200 favourite to defeat the Flames. Gibson hasn't been the most consistent goalie to start the year, but he stopped 21 of 22 shots as his team cruised to an easy victory to give him 5 wins and a shutout so far and he has now allowed 2 goals or fewer in 7 of his last 9 games. It's also very hard to tell how the Habs will perform after being blasted 10-0 last night to the Blue Jackets. The Capitals open as -190 home favorites in a divisional rivalry against the Florida Panthers. The Caps have been red hot as of late winning four straight to push their record to 7-2-1 on the season. Holtby has also been playing very well winning his last three starts and has already beat Florida once this year. The Panthers rank among the Top 10 in shot for per game which should give enough save opportunities to Holtby to be considered in cash or GPP tonight.   Carter Hutton FD - $8100 DK - $7400 Opponent - CBJ Proj Pts FD - 15.03 DK - 3.76 From a value perspective there is no better option than backup Carter Hutton who will get the start for the Blues tonight. St. Louis also opens as a big -190 favorite tonight as they will be facing a Blue Jackets team playing on back to back nights. The good news is they very well could have used up all their scoring last night as they embarrassed the Canadiens 10-0. GOALIES Al Montoya FD - $8600 DK - $8100 Opponent - CBJ Proj Pts FD - 18.35 DK - 4.59 You may be thinking "oh no, the best goalie in the world, Carey Price isn't starting for the Habs, so I should look somewhere else." I am telling you right now, don't do that. Montoya has played 4 games already this season, and he has been nothing short of brilliant by winning 3 games, and adding a shutout in one of those contests. He has allowed only 6 goals and has a save % of .955 which is awesome. Tonight Montreal travels to Columbus who is ranked 18th in the league with 2.63 goals scored per game. The Canadiens are actually 5th worst in the NHL with 32.6 shots per game, but they only allow a crazy low and league best 1.30 goals per game through 10 games. It is hard fading a Montreal goalie on any night this season, but with Montoya being $1600 cheaper than Price on FanDuel, and $600 cheaper on DraftKings, it just sweetens the deal even more. He doesn't normally face a ton of shots(26.5 avg) but with the Jets sitting as a Top 10 team in shots for, he will have an extremely high floor for cash games and excellent win potential backing up his #1 position in my Thursday rankings.     Martin Jones FD - $8600 DK - $8200 Opponent - CGY Proj Pts FD - 13.7 DK - 3.43 For tournaments, I will be back on Jones tonight who let us down on Tuesday in what seemed to be a cinch matchup. Dig deeper, however, and you will quickly see the Sharks and especially Jones have struggled away from the Shark Tank this season. I don't think this matters much for cash games as we aren't too concerned with ownership, but for GPP's I think we can throw out the ownership narrative tonight. I do think Dubnyk will be one of the higher owned options but not high enough to completely fade. It is also going to be pretty hard to fade a home team that comes in as a -200 favorite vs. a struggling offensive team. Dubnyk has been red hot lately as well, allowing just one goal in three straight games picking up the win in each. He has pushed his impressive save % up to .952 on the season and if starting once again is an elite option in any format.
