It has everything to do with the matchup vs. the elite matchup they get against the Avs who sit dead last in league standings and also rank dead last in offense and defense. Jones has been good, not great, lately winning four of his last five starts but has allowed 13 goals against in those games. The play is a little risky for cash games as the Avalanche only average under 30 shots for per game while the Sharks allowed under 28 per game. He plays for the Vancouver Canucks who haven't been good this season. But hey, sometimes certain things just click. The thing that has put him as my favorite goalie tonight, is the fact that he has won his last 10 starts while playing in his home barn and he shut-out a not so bad Nashville Predators team in his most recent start. The Canucks welcome the Florida Panthers to town this evening. Florida owns the league's 26th ranked offense and they are struggling to find any offensive momentum on a regular basis. Vancouver struggles in the offensive department, but the fact that Florida allowed nine goals in total to Calgary and Edmonton in their last two games, makes this an even safer play for me this evening. Pair that with a goalie who has been unreal this season and what do we have? It is very simple. We have a guy who is very tough to fade this evening from a safety perspective. The Coyotes come to Minnesota tonight after losing 6-3 to the Winnipeg Jets last evening. Arizona owns the league's worst offense and the 26th ranked power-play unit. Ouch!! I like Dubnyk even more than normal this evening, based on the fact that he allowed four goals to New Jersey on his home turf (which is actually ice,) in his last game. Why do I like this you ask? It is because that he has been one of the very best goalies in the league this year, as evident by his .938 save % and his 5 shutouts and the fact that he may be lower owned and it is because he is coming off of a loss to the not so good New Jersey Devils. He will be extremely focused tonight and he is the best bet for a win and possibly even a shutout. Tonight he gets a home matchup vs. the Devils who struggle on the road(8-12-6) and sit with a -28 goal differential.     Frederik Andersen FD - $8900 DK - $7900 Opponent - BUF Proj Pts FD - 17.37 DK - 4.34 If you are looking at saving a bit at the goalie position tonight, Andersen makes a great choice as the Leafs are the second biggest favorite on the slate. I normally only consider Leafs goalies for GPP(my own bias) but they are red hot right now winning eight of their last 10 games making Andersen safe in all formats. He has been impressive going 7-2-1 with a .924 save % in his last 10 starts while facing...

GOALIES Philipp Grubauer FD - $8000 DK - $7900 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 19.77 DK - 4.94 Here we have the backup goalie to Braden Holtby, who is the hottest goalie on the Planet at the moment. This game starts at 1 pm et today and I really wish that they announced the starting goalie already, but they haven't yet. But as I glanced ahead, I realized that the Capitals play in Pittsburgh tomorrow night, so it's almost a guarantee that they start Grubauer today against a weaker Flyers team. The Capitals are currently -220 favorites and even if and when Grubauer is announced as the starting goalie, I can't see it changing much. The young German net-minder has been solid when called upon this season. His record is 7-2 with a 1.94 goals against average and a shutout. He has won his last five starts and even though the Flyers are ranked 8th in goals scored, the Capitals have allowed only three goals in their last five games, which is simply amazing and they blanked a dangerous Chicago team last time out. Grubauer is my favorite goalie in all formats today and start him with confidence.
