Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/22/17 Hello hockey fans and welcome to another day of NHL action at DFSR. We only have three games on tap for today, but we have some nice picks lined up for you. Edmonton is the only team playing in a back-to-back scenario and Anaheim is the only team that is playing their third game in four nights.  Let's get started shall we? Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. If you want to see the numbers behind our projections, create linueps with a single click, or research as deeply as your heart desires, click the button below to test out yourself. MAKE NHL and NFL LINEUPS NOW! GOALIES Braden Holtby FD - $9400 DK - $8200 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 18.02 DK - 4.51 Let's start off today with a star goalie who is about to face the league's 23rd ranked offense. The Capitals are the best team in the league, but they have lost their last two games. What does this mean? It means that it is not good news for Philly as Washington is going to be firing on all cylinders this evening. Prior to his last game which was an overtime loss in Detroit, Holtby was 14-0-0 with a 9.24 save % and four shutouts. Yes, you read that correctly. 14-0! Holtby is the only goalie that you should be considering in all formats this evening.       CENTERS Connor McDavid FD - $8700 DK - $8200 Opponent - FLA Proj Pts FD - 16.7 DK - 4.85 On a three-game slate, it is very dangerous to fade one of the very best players in the league. This young man happens to lead the league in points with 67 so far this season. He was held pointless in Tampa Bay last night, but star players very seldom go two nights in a row without scoring a point. Before last night's game, McDavid was on a four-game point streak. During those four games, he had two goals, five assists and ten shots on goal. The Panthers are ranked 13th on defense, but they have been playing over their heads recently. Like I said earlier, McDavid is...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/21/17 Hello friends(in my Jim Nance voiceover) and welcome to another early week edition of our daily fantasy hockey picks. Tuesday brings us a busy nine-game slate where most teams will be rested with no teams playing a back to back. There are, however, 10 teams playing a third game in four nights. Let's take a look and then get into the picks. GOALIES Ben Bishop FD - $8600 DK - $7300 Opponent - EDM Proj Pts FD - 18.41 DK - 4.6 Tonight's slate has a bit of a GPP feel to it with no elite goaltender in a slam dunk position. The Lightning are not the biggest favorites tonight but Bishop has been red hot, plays on home ice, and comes with a very affordable price tag, especially on DraftKings. He has won four straight games coming into tonight while saving 101 of 106 shots for an elite .954 save percentage. He may feel safe but the Oilers are a much-improved team this year led by McJesus and co. and have one of the best road records in the Western Conference.   Devan Dubnyk FD - $9500 DK - $7600 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 16.93 DK - 4.23 In the #2 slot tonight is the league's leading goalie in Save %(.934), GAA(1.97) and Wis(32). The problem is similar to that of Bishop as he will be on home ice tonight as a slight favorite but facing a strong Western Conference team. Dubnyk has picked up where he left off and is 5-2 since the ASB allowing three or less goals in six of those seven games. He faced the Blackhawks earlier this season and picked up the win, stopping 33 of 35 shots he faced. I am looking for similar results tonight as the Wild attempt to leapfrog the Capitals for the #1 spot in the...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/19/17 Welcome to a crazy Sunday in daily fantasy hockey. There are 11 games today and neither FanDuel or DraftKings is running an All-Day slate. Take you pick between the four or five available slates and do what we always do. Root for value and stack the top players in the best matchups. Sounds easy right? Like everything in life, the more you put in, the more you get out. Let's dive right in and take a look at some of the top plays from the nine games starting at 6:00 p.m. ET tonight. Here is a look at the matchups for the day and the teams who could be playing wit some fatigue:   Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. MAKE NHL and NFL LINEUPS NOW! GOALIES Sergei Bobrovsky FD - $8500 DK - $8100 Opponent - NAS Proj Pts FD - 18.93 DK - 4.73 After giving up four goals in back to back starts out of the All-Star Break Bobrovsky has somewhat caught his stride again. He has won three of his last five games allowing under three goals in three of those games.  The good news is that he gets a plus matchup at home today as the Predators come to town after losing to the Wild last night and have been losers of three of their last four games. He is safe in all formats.   John Gibson FD - $9100 DK - $7900 Opponent - LA Proj Pts FD - 18.08 DK - 4.52 In a very similar situation as BoB today we have John Gibson in the #2 spot. He has also been inconsistent since the ASB but is still showing those signs of being a top goalie in the league. The Ducks are also one of just three teams not playing a back to back or third in four or even a fourth game of the week. He gets a decent inter state matchup vs. the Kings who have also...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/18/17 Welcome back to another exciting day of DFS hockey. Saturday brings us a split slate with three matinee matchups and eight games on the main slate. For the purpose of this article, we will turn our attention to the main slate. Let's dig in. MAKE NHL and NFL LINEUPS NOW! GOALIES Devan Dubnyk FD - $9600 DK - $8100 Opponent - NAS Proj Pts FD - 19.72 DK - 4.93 In case you didn't know, this guy is a very good goalie. He had issues with stopping the puck in the past, but he fixed those issues a few years ago and now he's a tough fade every time he protects the crease. Dubnyk's record this year is 31-13 with five shutouts and he has a .934 save % which is awesome. He lost his last start, but only because Anaheim's goalie stood on his head as the Ducks beat the Wild 1-0. Before that the Wild netminder won four starts in a row. Tonight he faces the Predators who are ranked 13th on offense which is right around the league average. Do not worry, though, because on home ice, Dubnyk is as close to matchup proof as it comes. Look for the Wild to come away with the victory today and start Dubnyk with confidence in all formats.     Also Consider: Aaron Dell (SJ)     CENTERS Connor McDavid FD - $8700 DK - $8200 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 17.04 DK - 4.9 I love the state the NHL is in right now. There are so many potential stars in the making and it's going to get very exciting very soon. This isn't breaking news, but this guy is already a star. I don't have to keep repeating his season-long statistics because he is a beast. In his last three games, "McJesus" has a goal, five assists and seven shots on goal. He also...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/17/17 Hello hockey fans and welcome to a nice cozy little three-game NHL slate. NBA is currently on their All-Star break, so hockey will be a very popular sport in the DFS world this weekend. Today we have two teams playing their third game in four nights, as well as in back to back games. (COL, PIT) We have some great picks lined up for you today, so let's get to it. Shall we? Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. MAKE NHL and NFL LINEUPS NOW! GOALIES Cam Ward FD - $8000 DK - $8200 Opponent - COL Proj Pts FD - 18.77 DK - 4.69 Okay, so just to let you know, Cam Ward is not a great goalie and barely even a good one. He has won a Stanley Cup, so he has earned himself a place in the NHL until he decides to quit and it doesn't matter, because he has held the cup. This is all about the team that he is facing tonight. I'm sorry Avalanche fans, but your team could lose to a few AHL teams right now (knock on wood, because now that I have said this, Colorado may score a few goals tonight.) Anyways, back to reality. The Av's are playing their third game in four nights and they got shut out by the Buffalo Sabres last evening. Ouch!! Ward and the Hurricanes haven't played since February 11th where they gave up five goals in Dallas. Before that, Ward won three starts in a row while giving up six goals in those three games. Not too shabby. The Avalanche own the league's worst offense and the Hurricanes are currently listed as -235 favorites according to Las Vegas. Ward is the only cash game play that we should consider today and as for GPP's, I feel that a lot of people will flock to Gibson because of his un-human like performance against the Wild, so Ward shouldn't be too popular this evening. Trust me and fire Cam Ward up in all formats...
