GOALIES Jonathan Bernier FD - $8600 DK - $8300 Opponent - WPG Proj Pts FD - 17.03 DK - 4.26 I wasn't totally sold on my goalie selection until I watched the Jets play the Kings late last night. The Kings won 5-2. Winnipeg cannot stay out of the penalty box and they are a complete mess of a hockey team right now, especially on the defensive end. They have a couple of snipers who can score goals, but that doesn't matter when they are short-handed for what seems to be for half of the game. Bernier has filled in admirably for John Gibson since he has been injured. He is 6-0-1 in his last seven games with a GAA of 1.54 and a .950 save percentage. The Ducks are tough to beat on home ice and the Jets are ranked 28th on defense so Bernier should have plenty of offensive support and is a great play in all formats this evening.     Also Consider: Martin Jones - SJ (GPP)     CENTERS Ryan Getzlaf FD - $7800 DK - $6700 Opponent - WPG Proj Pts FD - 15.81 DK - 4.6 As I stated above, the Jets are ranked third worst in the league defensively and the sin bin is where they like to hang out. That's great news as Jake Allen is in an elite spot at home vs. the struggling Canucks who have lost seven of their last 10 games. The Blues are -225 favorites as they try to hold on to their spot in the playoff picture. Allen has been incredible lately winning six of his last seven starts and only allowing more than two goals against once in that time. Fire up Allen in all formats tonight. Al Montoya FD - $8300 DK - $8300 Opponent - CAR Proj Pts FD - 20.36 DK - 5.09 Montoya made the start for the Habs last game as Carey Price is dealing with a "minor injury". Gotta love the vagueness of the NHL injury reports. At this point, it is still unclear if Price will be back tonight but if the Habs were smart with the playoffs on the horizon, they would sit him out and give him some rest. That would give Montoya another start in a pretty good spot at home vs. a non-playoff team....

A tiny slate like this is more suited to GPP's, but if you are like me and insist on playing cash games no matter what, then we need to dig deep and find some kind of "safety." The Blue Jackets are currently listed as a -155 home favorite, which tells us a lot as they are facing the 7th ranked offense this evening. Bobrovsky has been nothing short of sensational recently as he has won seven games in a row. During those seven games, he has recorded a 1.14 GAA and a .963 save % with three shutouts. What does this mean? Fading Carey Price is a dangerous proposition. He is expensive, but we just have to find value elsewhere. The star tender has won eight of his last nine starts and I dug a little deeper into his head to head stats against the Red Wings and I found some very convincing information. Price and the Habs have played the Red Wings three times this year and they won two out of three with two shutouts for Price and only two goals allowed. That is impressive, to say the least. The Vezina trophy candidate has won his last six starts and he's posted eye-opening numbers with three shutouts and a .962 save %. He recorded his league leading 38th win in his last game while stopping 33 of 34 shots against the Panthers. This next part is even more convincing. Bob and the Jackets play the Devils who he earned consecutive shutouts against on March 5th and 7th. He stopped all 53 shots he faced in those two games. The Jackets are currently listed as a -155 road favorite and look for Bobrovsky to handle the Devils and their 28th ranked offense.
