We Got Nets Episode 18 - Preseason Wrap up, Kyrie Irving, Raptors Breakdown and 2019-2020 Predictions 10/19/19 It's about time for the We Got Nets to wrap up the preseason on their Brooklyn Nets Podcast. Make sure you subcribe to We Got Nets on iTunes or wherever you listen to podcasts. They start things off talking about Kyrie Irving's first "real" game as a Nets considering dude was knocked out right at the beginning of the Lakers' game in China. It was awesome seeing him getting back into the flow of the game and putting up some vintage Irving shots in the lane. While the game was a bit of a struggle, it's easy to see how he'll start fitting in to the offense. They break down the Raptors' game, a loss for the Nets, and try to glean some of the plan going forward. The Nets will have to improve their perimeter defense especially and they missd a lot of assingments. Adam and Doug also go through the 2019-2020 predictions including Team MVP, Most Improved, Regular season record and more as they really prep for the season to come. We Got Nets Episode 17 – Wrapping up the trip to China, LeVert making the leap, Nets Rotations and more 10/14/19
We Got Nets Episode 17 - Wrapping up the trip to China, LeVert making the leap, Nets Rotations and more 10/14/19 The We Got Nets crew is here following the Nets’ trip to China and the guys are going through some of their takeaways on the Brooklyn Nets Podcast. Listen to We Got Nets on iTunes: The guys start off talking about the trip to China as a whole and what it meant for the Nets. They talk about some of the issues with travel and how that had to have affected both teams and why the play was likely so sloppy. Then they talk about the second game. Even though Kyrie Irving didn’t play this game because of the facial fracture, there were still some takeaways from Brooklyn’s play. the big story was the play of Caris Levert who took over game two and led the team in both points and assists. It was such an encouraging sign from the emerging star how he took the reins of the offense with Kyrie off the court. They also talk Taurean Prince’s continued hot shooting, the different Nets’ rotations, whether to start Jarrett Allen or DeAndre Jordan should start and more. We Got Nets Episode 16 – Game in China! Kyrie and LeVert Hurt, Nets Win and much more 10/10/19
We Got Nets Episode 16 - Game in China! Kyrie and LeVert Hurt, Nets Win and much more 10/10/19 The game in China actually played! The We Got Nets crew is breaking down the first “real” preseason of the year on their Brooklyn Nets Podcast. Listen to We Got Nets on iTunes: Besides the game actually playing amidst all of the NBA/China turmoil, the big news from this game was Kyrie Irving and Caris LeVert both going down early with injury. Kyrie was hit in the face and right after Caris got poked in the eye. It meant we really didn’t get a chance to see the planned Nets’ rotations. Brooklyn took a slightly different approach this game, starting DeAndre Jordan instead of Jarrett Allen and this could be a major talking point for the whole season, which guy should be starting at center? Both played fine considering the circumstances. Spencer Dinwiddie shouldered a great deal of the offensive load after the two guards went down and shot well from the field. Adam and Doug break down the game, some of the positives and takeaways as well as things the Nets will need to work on going forward. We Got Nets Episode 14 – A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: First Preseason Game vs. Sesi Franca Reactions and more 10/5/19
We Got Nets Episode 14 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: First Preseason Game vs. Sesi Franca Reactions and more 10/5/19 The We Got Nets are pumped with Brooklyn basketball finally back in action with their Brooklyn Nets Podcast. They are breaking down the first preseason game against Sesi Franca on the new homecourt. Listen to We Got Nets on iTunes: It’s rapid reaction time for the Nets first preseason game as we finally got a look at some of the offseason’s additions and how some of the pieces will fit together this year. Obviously, the Nets were playing without both Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris, so we will have to wait at least another game to see how those guys gel with the team. But there was a lot to be encouraged about from what we saw on the Brooklyn side of the ball. The guys go player-by-player through the starters and some of the backups, calling out the positives while also letting on to some things Brooklyn will need to work on going forward. They loved what they saw out of Caris LeVert who looked comfortable in the offense as a facilitator and creator. He led the team with nine assists and was clearly the engine when he was on the court. They also talk about what they saw from the Nets two centers Jarrett Allen and DeAndre Jordan and how the Nets were clear with the plan to get those guys rolling to the hoop as much as possible. There is some redundancy there though which will be interesting to watch over the course of the season. They break all this down and more on a recap podcast for the Nets first preseason game of the year before heading to China to play the Lakers.
