Guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10200 DK - $10400 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 55.21 DK - 54.38 The price is back in the $10K which lowers the overall PTS/$ ceiling but I am not at all concerned about the floor for cash games considering he checks almost every box tonight. It starts with the home matchup against the Rockets' 28th-ranked defence which is still short two starting guards in Porter and Green. For SGA, he has been rock-solid lately averaging 32.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.8 blocks+steals over his last six games leading to an average over 50 fantasy points a game. That is where the system has him pegged tonight and with that, he is one of my core plays in all formats. Jamal Murray FD - $8200 DK - $7900 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 38.02 DK - 39.45 Another player who is checking all the boxes tonight is Jamal Murray who is playing his best basketball of the season currently. Over his last 10 games, he has seen his shot volume increase and is taking over two more shots a game than his season numbers and has taken 20 or more shots in four of his last five games. He has made the most with that volume, as well, with 20 or more points in five straight while averaging 24.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.2 assists over that 10-game stretch. He now gets a favourable matchup against the Hawks who rank 19th in defensive efficiency and 10th in pace. Fire up Murray in all formats. Daishen Nix FD - $4200 DK - $3700 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 20.48 DK - 21.85 For value tonight, the system loves going back to Daishen Nix who should get his third straight start with Porter out, Green doubtful, and Tate expected to sit out the second of a back-to-back set here. While Nix has struggled to get his shot down going just 6 for 22 in the past two games, he has hit floor value thanks to his contributions in the rebound(12) and assist(8) departments. The price on DraftKings has actually dropped going into tonight's matchup and considering he should easily get another 30+ minutes and double-digit shots, Nix is in play for me in all formats. Small Forward Kenyon Martin Jr....

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9100 DK - $9700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 50.64 DK - 55.3 Two of the four worst defenses square off in this game with Pistons-Hornets coming in with a 240 over/ under. We are unlikely to get much in the way of ball-stopping here and LaMelo Ball is almost certainly going to be one of the highest-owned plays on the slate. The minutes have been 36 or higher over the last week or so and he’s a triple-double threat in every game. Over the last four he’s averaging 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Plus he’ll get after it with some steals as well. This is a pretty easy play. Davion Mitchell FD - $3800 DK - $3000Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 21.37 DK - 23.16 Malik Monk FD - $5300 DK - $4800Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 30.92 DK - 33.93 De’Arron Fox is out for the Kings on Friday when they play the Pacers and this should be a spot to roster some guys in his absence. Davion Mitchell should get the start though it could be Malik Monk who we see with even more opportunity. The latter has a 29.8 usage rate with Fox off the court this season, easily the highest on the team and even coming off the bench has seen bigger minutes with this group. The price is low enough on both sites to take the moderate risk even if he isn’t running with the starter. Meanwhile, Mitchell is coming at the stone minimum on DraftKings and should be at least starting. That’s worth it from a punt play perspective. The fantasy elements of his game aren’t overwhelming so there’s at least some risk, but he’s cheap and should see a dramatic increase in minutes here. T.J. McConnell FD - $6000 DK - $6900Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 37.3 DK - 39.48 It looks like Tyrese Haliburton is going to sit out on the second half of the back-to-back after returning from injury so that should slot TJ McConnell back into the starting lineup. Though it tailed off a bit after a...

Guards Luka Doncic FD - $12200 DK - $12300 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 58.77 DK - 62.93 No one player has swayed a DFS slate more than Luka this season and the fact he's at his lowest price since late December has my attention. He returned after a two-game absence and put up his fourth 50-point game of the season and provides us the highest floor and upside combo in the NBA, especially over the last two months. He has tallied 60 or DraftKings points in 16 of 28 games giving him a massive floor even at his price and the upside is even higher as he has tallied 70 or more DK points in nine of those games. He is also the matchup-proof player in teh league so I am not at all concerned with the Pels Top 10 defence and will have exposure to Luka in all formats. Ty Jerome FD - $3700 DK - $3000 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 27.3 DK - 29.68 Jordan Poole FD - $7000 DK - $6500 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 36.4 DK - 40.44 Making it a lot easier to build around Luka is the fact the Warriors will be resting their starters on Thursday leading to another huge influx in PTS/$ value. The good news is that we have seen this play out before so we have some data to draw from so let's start with Jordan Poole who is the biggest beneficiary. While he is very shooting-dependent, he sees about a 5-6% boost in usage with the other starters off the floor, recently put up 40+ fantasy points the last time they all sat, and provides 1.13 DK/1.07 FD points per minute in these spots. For some real salary savings tonight, consider Ty Jerome who should get another spot start after shooting the lights out on January 20, the last time the starters sat. He played a whopping 41 minutes in that game and was second in shots to only Poole and put up a season-high 22 points. Another shooting-dependent guard but Jerome comes at min price which makes it easy to jam Luka in with another superstar. Lock and load in all formats. Donovan Mitchell FD - $8300 DK - $8100 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 44.35 DK -...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 2/1
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/1/23 This is always an interesting stretch in the season. We're less than two weeks away from the All-Star game, and this is when some bizarre things happen. Players randomly end up on the injury report, and we're finally about to get some trades. Those factors always cause chaos for DFS, if there isn't enough to worry about already! Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8600 DK - $8200 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 41.81 DK - 42.83 Fox has developed into one of my favorite players this season. He's one of the few guards who's better inside the paint than out of it, and it's scary to think how good this guy can be if he develops a better shot. In any case, Fox is averaging 41 DraftKings points per game, scoring at least 46 fantasy points in four of his last five games. The recent surge makes him really enticing against San Antonio, sitting dead last in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. They're also allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards, with Fox averaging 38 DK points per game against them. We expect that to be his floor with the way he's rolling. D'Angelo Russell FD - $7000 DK - $7100 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 39.87 DK - 41.5 Russell has been a regular in this section because these DFS sites refuse to raise his price. It's hard to understand why because the lefty is playing some of the best basketball of his career since Karl-Anthony Towns got injured. That's skyrocketed his shot attempts and usage, averaging 35 fantasy points per game since the big man went down. D-Lo has also scored at least 36 DK points in six of his last seven games, posting a 39-point average in that span. We expect him to build off of that average against Golden State, who rank 26th in points allowed while surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing guards. Chris Paul (FD $8300 DK $8300) is doing everything in Phoenix with Devin Booker, and Cameron Payne sidelined and should annihilate a horrible Hawks defense. Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10700 DK - $10200 Opponent - HOU...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $7700 DK - $8500Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 45.39 DK - 48.89 As we’ll get to even more when it comes to Giannis, we are in an interesting spot with the Bucks on Tuesday. On the one hand, they have, by far, the highest team total and best matchup on the slate. They are also -11 home favorites and could absolutely blow the doors off of the Hornets. It’s a tricky spot with where to land with guys like Jrue Holiday. For instance, last game the Bucks crushed the Pelicans and Holiday played only 30 minutes. But he also finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. The value could still be there against the Hornets at these prices, but if the game gets out of hand it’s going to be close. Jalen Brunson FD - $7500 DK - $7900Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 41.39 DK - 44.31 Quentin Grimes FD - $4100 DK - $4400Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 25.6 DK - 27.81 The Lakers should be more toward full strength than they were against the Nets on Monday evening, so the matchup should be tougher. But this is still a team ranking 20th in defensive efficiency on the season. Brunson has a high minutes floor on the season, running at least 37 in each of the last 14 games. It’s tough to find that kind of consistency and it makes him a very safe option, especially on FanDuel where the price is still sitting too low. I think he will see plenty of ownership there against LA in a high-profile matchup between these two teams. In addition to Brunson, Quentin Grimes also has been seeing a ton of run for the Knicks, but he needs things to break right in order to hit value even at these lower prices. He’s strictly a three-and-D wing and if the three-ball isn’t falling then you could be in trouble even in the $4K range. That being said, he’s played 36 or more minutes in each of the last three games and the Knicks will need his...
