Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8200 DK - $7200 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 41.44 DK - 41.23 It only took Fox 23 minutes against the Magic on Monday to rack up 20 points and five steals with the Kings blowing the doors off of Orlando. You don’t have to worry about Sacramento getting full run here on the back-to-back considering they didn’t have to overexert on Monday. It puts Fox in a great spot again against a Phoenix team ranked third-to-last in defensive efficiency this season. They don’t play at the trademark Suns’ pace of the past, but the lack of wherewithal on D more than makes up for it. I really like Fox’s DraftKings’ price and he should be able to put work in against the Melton/ Okobo point guard pairing of Phoenix. After Fox, the point guard pool is a bit murky as of this writing. You can strongly, of course, consider Russell Westbrook, though our system isn’t seeing him as the clear big money payoff on this slate. He’s put up triple-doubles in three of his last four games. But the Timberwolves have, in general, been good against the position this season. Who knows what the future holds with the new coach though. De'Anthony Melton would be in play if Devin Booker were to sit. Much of the slate could hinge on that injury news. And then there are the Pacers. As of the is writing Darren Collison and Cory Joseph are both questionable. If either or both sat we’d be looking at an interesting situation. Keep an ear out for this news. Shooting Guard Bogdan Bogdanovic FD - $6500 DK - $5900 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 33.5 DK - 34.73 Bogdan was uber chalk on DraftKings on Monday and didn’t disappoint, putting up 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists against the Magic in the start. The Kings blew out the Magic, but Bogdan got, by far, the most minutes of any starter (32, the next closest was Hield at 25). He’ll get a chance for a repeat performance against the Suns on Tuesday. I’m a bit concerned that the Kings manage his minutes on the b2b because they’ve done this before. But he’s...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks and Lineup Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings – Monday 1/7/19
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks and Lineup Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings - Monday 1/7/19 We're through the weekend and trying to avoid those Monday blues. But it's easy when you've got a full slate of NBA action coming down the pike. Let's take a look at some of the lineup considerations for FanDuel and DraftKings. Point Guard Emmanuel Mudiay FD - $6100 DK - $6100 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 35.06 DK - 35.62 Trey Burke FD - $4000 DK - $3200 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 20.18 DK - 20.45 Frank Ntilikina is going to be out a few games, leaving most of the point guard minutes to (presumably) these two. Mudiay is clearly the safer of the two in the starting lineup and playing low 30’s minutes as long as the games stay close. He’ll match up against a backcourt of Lillard and C.J. McCollum who do give up production to opposing point guards. Mudiay is getting up close to 15 shots per game in the short term with the assist numbers hovering around six per. I don’t mind him at these price points even with the potential blowout (Portland opens as -11 home favorites). And then there’s Burke who picked up 19 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Lakers. He can score in bunches quickly, getting up 12 shots and 16 points in just that limited time. I see him as a GPP flyer with the possibility as a DraftKings’ cash play if you think he plays 20 minutes. That’s really all he needs at a near minimum price there. Ricky Rubio FD - $6400 DK - $5600 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 32.96 DK - 33.88 The Jazz had just started getting comfortable giving Dante Exum solid minutes off the bench and now he’s ruled out for Monday’s game. I think that opens up mid-30’s minutes for Rubio and I don’t mind playing him in cash on both sites, but especially on DraftKings. While I understand this is a tough matchup against an excellent defense in the Bucks, I think the potential minutes increase for Rubio i enough to warrant a play. He’s still scoring 13 points a game and the assist numbers are up a bit over last year to 6.3 per game. This game has...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/6/19
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/6/19 Happy Sunday everyone! With the NFL playoffs starting, the NBA schedule has opened to a few more games for us to enjoy. Or in the case of this NBA DFS slate, worry about. For such a big slate there are still a few very problematic positions, namely small forward and power forward. Today's slates will be all about reducing harm at the forward positions, and potentially chasing upside on a few guys who have flashed bigger minutes recently. There are two smallish slates here, so instead of going super deep on a few plays we'll try and give you an overview at each position for both slates. Early Slate Point Guard Lonzo Ball FD - $6700 DK - $7600Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 33.23 DK - 34.12 Jeff Teague FD - $6600 DK - $6400Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 29.9 DK - 30.62 It's kind of hard to imagine going away from the Teague/Ball combo for the early slate here, assuming Rose is out again. Orlando, LAC, and Brooklyn are all handing us pretty useless options, at which point you're just deciding on two of the three between Dunn, Teague, and Ball. You can certainly consider Dunn if you think he builds upon the huge minutes he played last game, but Ball and Teague just seem safer to me. Ball is still benefiting from a post-LeBron bump, and Teague has dropped double-digit assists in four straight games. Either way, though, if you're deciding between these three it will be tough to go too terribly wrong. Late Slate Point guard Russell Westbrook FD - $11800 DK - $11100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 59.62 DK - 61.88 It might wind up being tough to pay up anywhere on this late slate given how many tough defenses are playing, but if you can, Westbrook looks very solid to me. Westbrook's game log is marred by two awful shooting performances 3/20 against LA, and 4/22 against Dallas. Nothing has fundamentally changed about his game, and the 28 shots he put up against Portland are a good sign for his fantasy prospects. Washington has struggled mightily against PGs this year, allowing the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards, and that can't get better with Wall out of...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $11600 DK - $11300 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 61.23 DK - 62.92 The Thunder are basically playing a two-man game with Westbrook and Paul George. And it’s working. They’ve won seven of their last ten and over the last five games, Westbrook is averaging 23 points, 11.4 rebounds, and nine assists. It’s not quite a triple-double (he says with a wink) but we’ll take it and he’s also piled on 16 steals in that stretch. The Blazers are allowing about 9% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards this season and with this being yet another leverage Western Conference game we can expect big minutes out of Russ. Lonzo Ball FD - $6800 DK - $7700 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 36.45 DK - 37.06 I’d love to feel ultra-confident with Lonzo in this spot considering he’s (basically) playing elite minutes and the Lakers are without their top usage guy in Lebron. Oh and he’s also playing the Knicks. But then you see lines like last game against the Thunder in which he only went 1-4 from the field in 35 minutes and was barely involved in the action. OKC is a great defensive team so I’m generally able to look past it, but the concern is there for sure. That being said, this is a guy who has double-double potential and draws the 29th ranked defensive efficiency team in the league. Going back to Lonzo in this spot for cash is fine at his middle-tier price points. If Ricky Rubio plays (he’s currently questionable) then he makes for a good play against the weak Cavaliers’ defense. If he were to sit then Dante Exum would immediately jump to the top of the value list for Friday’s slate. Shooting Guard Josh Hart FD - $6400 DK - $6200 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 33.4 DK - 33.2 Hart has played a lot of minutes since Lebron James went down with the groin injury. The former played 40 and 38 over the last two, putting up a crazy 13 point, 15 rebound line last time out against the Thunder despite hitting only 1-8 from three. The most encouraging signs are the 14...
