Point guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9500 DK - $9400 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 47.63 DK - 48.16 It looks like Kyrie Irving has arrived and is here to stay for the near future. He struggled a little bit at the beginning of the season, but has been on fire as of late - topping 59 fantasy points in back to back contests. He’s driving to the hole better than ever and the balance of the Celtics is giving him some space on the perimeter. The Hawks are already one of the best match-ups for opposing PG’s, and now Young is questionable. That could leave one of the worst defenders in basketball, Jeremy Lin, to cover Kyrie. Look for Irving to have another big night at an affordable price tag. Keep an eye on his status on the second half of a back to back, but if he gets the green light from Stevens he gets the green light from us as well. Jeremy Lin FD - $4600 DK - $4400 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 22.8 DK - 23.35 Trae Young is currently questionable with an illness, so we will just wait and see what goes down here. If Young plays, I'll avoid the situation altogether as he probably wouldn't play a lot of minutes coming after a bronchial sickness. If he sits, however, Jeremy Lin will turn into one of top plays on the slate. He's already playing 25-30 minutes a night, so if Young is out, he could easily see 35 or so minutes. His price is low on both sites and he's always involved when on the court. The Celtics are a pretty solid defense, but Kyrie isn't a great defender and Lin won't have any issues scoring. If Trae Young is out, Jeremy Lin will be a top cash game and tournament play on the entire night. Lonzo Ball FD - $7700 DK - $6900 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 35.35 DK - 35.69 With LeBron James off the floor, Lonzo Ball has been extremely consistent. He also seems to be fine tuning his game with the added freedoms to “figure it out”. He’s between 33 and 37 minutes on a nightly basis and has the ball...

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10400 DK - $10000 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 49.83 DK - 52.92 Curry just continues to defy much of what we thought were reasonable logistical levels for efficiency in long-distance shooting. Over his last seven games, he’s averaging more than 15 three-point attempts per game and shooting 48% from beyond the arc. It’s meant a 34 point per game average while also *chipping in* with six assists and five rebounds. In another Western Conference leverage matchup, it makes sense to once again project him near max minutes against the Clippers. Even with the price coming up (understandably) on both sites, the volume shooting still has him in cash game consideration on this Friday slate. Elfrid Payton FD - $5800 DK - $6400 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 27.92 DK - 28.28 I see Elfrid as a much better FanDuel play on this slate where the price still hasn’t crested over $6K because he isn’t playing minutes over 30 really since coming back from the injury. I do suspect we continue to see them trend up though in the short term and he’s shown in the past the propensity to rack up fantasy points. He has double-double potential if things break right. Last game he has 12 assists, the two previous games he finished with double-digit points. There will be a game in which he puts it all together. I like his chances against the backcourt tandem of Lillard and McCollum who have allowed more than average scoring to opposing point guards. We could see Damian Lillard as a popular play on DraftKings at only $8600. The Pelicans give it up to opposing guards this season, allowing about 5% more scoring to combo guards and the pace of the game could mean a volume shooting game for Dame. He’s a little too expensive for my tastes on FanDuel. Shooting Guard DeMar DeRozan FD - $8300 DK - $7800 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 42.61 DK - 42.81 Though some of the Spurs’ minutes can come and go, that isn’t the case with DeRozan who’s seen steady run through thick and thin of the short term. That being said, the fantasy production really hasn’t been there relative...
DFS NBA Podcast for Friday 1/18/19 – FanDuel and DraftKings
DFS NBA Podcast for Friday 1/18/19 - FanDuel and DraftKings The DFSR crew of James Davis and Doug Norrie take to the NBA podcast to discuss a seven-game slate of basketball action for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s an interesting slate with a lot of potential landmines considering the slower paces of many teams on the schedule. They try to wade through matchups like Memphis-Boston, Cleveland-Utah, and Miami - Detroit. Then they talk about the possible idea of stacking some Spurs’ guys in cash against the Timberwolves. And finally, DeMarcus Cousins is back for the Warriors on Friday. They discuss what that means for Golden State and if the exposure for cash games will be on the later slate of games. NBA Podcast! - Wednesday NBA DFS plays and Betting Angles for FanDuel and DraftKings 1/16/19 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing an eight-game slate of NBA action for FanDuel and DraftKings while also diving into some of the betting implications on the schedule. There’s plenty to look at starting with whether James Harden can continue on this historic streak. He’s up to peak pricing on both sites and it still might make sense to roll him out there in cash games. There are also other big money names worth a look as possible pivots with Giannis Antetokounmpo coming much cheaper against Memphis And then, of course, we get the Warriors in a great matchup at home against the Pelicans. All of this and more as the guys go through every game and break down the Wednesday slate of NBA action. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday 1/16/19
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Wednesday 1/16/19 Following a night of blowouts on Tuesday, we get an eight-game slate of NBA action on Wednesday. Can Harden keep up the historic pace he's on? Will the Pelicans hang with a surging Warriors' squad? There's plenty sink our teeth into. Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10000 DK - $10100 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 50.69 DK - 53.5 The Warriors are playing on the back-to-back after the win over the Nuggets on Tuesday. It’s going to be interesting to see where the big money lands in terms of cash on Wednesday. You have Harden coming at peak prices but also on the run of a lifetime. But then there are a bunch of very solid plays like Curry coming about $3K cheaper. There could be reasons to fade the Beard here. Steph has seen the shooting come and go depending on the game, but is still hitting threes about 44% of the time in the short term and might see another volume game here against a Pelicans’ team playing the sixth-fastest pace in the league. Elfrid Payton FD - $5600 DK - $5700 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 28.43 DK - 28.89 Coming the other way, I do think we could see a big Payton game in the near future. As he works his way back to healthy, the minutes should start trending up and over 30. If that’s the case then look for a possible stat-filling line. He won’t score in bunches, but he does rebound the position well and playing with Davis and Randle on the blocks means double-digit assists are in striking distance every night if things break right. I feel like we are buying low and if he can stay on the court against the Warriors’ guards in this matchup then there is real upside on these prices for Payton. If Shabazz Napier sits again then we could be looking at Spencer Dinwiddie as a value play in the mid-tier. The same is true for Jalen Brunson if Dennis Smith Jr. sits again. The former saw plenty of minutes last time around off the bench and would in line for similar run as the backup point guard if Smith is out. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $14000...
