Point Guard Elie Okobo FD - $3600 DK - $3000 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 22.74 DK - 22.84 De'Anthony Melton went down with what looked to be a not-insignificant ankle injury on Thursday against the Blazers and I very much doubt he plays on Friday. That should open up plenty of minutes for Okobo who played 28 against Portland and finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. There’s not going to be a lot of usage for this role in the Suns’ offense with Devin Booker controlling so much of the point of action, but Okobo is coming cheap enough to roll as a punt play if Melton is ruled out. Patrick Beverley FD - $4800 DK - $4800 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 25.39 DK - 26.14 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $4300 DK - $4300 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 25.84 DK - 25.61 Even with Lou Williams back off the bench, the Clippers still kept big minutes for their guards with Danilo Gallinari out of the starting lineup. They are rolling these two guys at the 1-2 with Avery Bradley shifting to the three in the lineup. What you are looking for out of SGA and Beverley at these price points is the ability to stack on stats across the box score. Neither does any, one thing all that well, but both can hit value simply by the number of minutes they’ve been running in the short term. They get a good matchup against a Bulls’ team that’s a total mess right now, playing a bottom third defense in the league. The Timberwolves’ point guard situation is in flux right now. If Jeff Teague were to sit again, then Derrick Rose would be right back in play on Friday. Teague was ruled out very early on Thursday which could mean he’s some time from being able to return. That being said, Rose is questionable after leaving...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday 1/23/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Wednesday 1/23/18 We've got a heck of a Wednesday slate of NBA action headed our way. Can James Harden keep up this ridiculous pace? Is there still value in the Pelicans without Anthony Davis? Can we roster five centers? There's a lot to break down on a big night of hoops action. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $7500 DK - $7200 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 38.91 DK - 39.61 Fred Vanvleet FD - $4600 DK - $4600 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 25.94 DK - 26.31 Kawhi Leonard will sit out again on Wednesday, leaving VanVleet in the starting lineup for the Raptors. They are coming off a nice win over the Kings on Tuesday, with FVV as a big reason. The second-year guard finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in only 32 minutes. He shot 50% from three (3-6) and was efficient with his usage considering he only took 10 shots total. The key is that he’ll once again be in the starting lineup and the price didn’t move much at all game-over-game. Lowry is also still something of a bargain coming off a 34-minute night on Tuesday. He scored 19 points as well and dished nine assists. With Kawhi off the court this season, Lowry sees about an 8% usage bump and 3% uptick in assists as well. I’m not overly worried about the minutes on the back-to-back considering it’s an Eastern Conference matchup against the Pacers. Elfrid Payton FD - $5700 DK - $6100 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 31.74 DK - 32.33 I know that after their first game without Davis the Elfrid performance left a lot to be desired. But I’m encouraged by the minutes (32) and did spend enough time on the ball that the game against the Grizzlies represents something like the floor of his fantasy expectation. The Pelicans are gifted another good matchup against the Pistons on Wednesday. I still think we are buying on the low side for Payton and I see him as a value point guard on this slate. If anything, in a close game we should see a slight increase on the minutes and the Pistons don’t have anything in the way of perimeter /guard defense. Shooting Guard...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Tuesday 1/22/19

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Tuesday 1/22/19 After a full day of NBA action that saw about 12 straight hours of NBA action, things start to settle down some for Tuesday with a four-game slate. We've got plenty of ways to save salary plus some interesting matchups from a DFS perspective. Let's break it all down. Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $3900 DK - $4600 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 31.35 DK - 30.66 Patrick Beverley FD - $4700 DK - $4800 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 24.61 DK - 25.01 The Clippers really shook up their starting lineup on Sunday, slotting in Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell in the win over the Spurs. Beverley played 42 minutes and was everywhere on the stat sheet, going for 18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. It was a GPP-winning line and you almost have to run him back out there at these prices as long as he remains in the starting lineup. With Danilo Gallinari already ruled out and Lou Williams questionable, I think we see Beverley in this spot again. He figures to be a popular play on both sites. Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again played a ton of minutes, but really struggled from a fantasy perspective. He shot 3-15 from the field and tallied only four rebounds and three assists despite 38 minutes of court time. It’s actually the thing keeping his price relatively in check and I have no problem rostering him again on this slate. Jalen Brunson FD - $3700 DK - $3900 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 22.2 DK - 23.22 Brunson got the surprise start for the Mavericks on Monday against the Bucks and was effective in 30 minutes, scoring 16 points to go with five assists and three rebounds. Dallas has moved this position around a bunch with Dennis Smith Jr. out of the lineup, sometimes going with Kleber but here opting a smaller lineup with Brunson. They might go the same route against the Clippers who basically started three guards last game (see above). We might not get the starting lineup in time for main slate lock, but I feel fairly confident Brunson draws the start again on Tuesday. Because there is so much potential value at point guard,...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Monday 1/21/19

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10000 DK - $9400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 49.17 DK - 52.32 Curry’s always been a prolific shooter, but what he’s been doing lately is even beyond what we’ve come to expect from the phenom. He’s taking 15 three-pointers a game over the last eight games and knocking them down at a 47% rate. That’s, simply, just nuts. In that span he’s averaging 33 points, five rebounds and six assists. There are some blowout concerns going up against this Lebron-less Lakers’ team, but on a crazy slate of NBA action Curry seems a rather see play. Elfrid Payton FD - $5500 DK - $8800 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 28.94 DK - 29.45 With Anthony Davis out for the Pelicans, it’s an all-hands-on-deck situation in New Orleans. That means we are buying most of their team on a discount and why you are going to see a lot of Pels in this writeup. Payton ceded minutes to the backup point guards in the last game, but I don’t think that’s going to be as much the case going forward without AD. If anything, the Pels are going to need to reformulate their offense some and Payton does have the ability to get to the rim. On FanDuel, that makes him a great value. Strongly consider Mike Conley against the Pelicans. Conley has been able to put together some scoring games and can add in the rebounding and assist numbers here and there. The key for him in this matchup is the pace up nature of the New Orleans attack. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $14000 DK - $13200 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 66.64 DK - 70.17 Paying $14K for a guy in a daily fantasy basketball contest? It sure seems nuts and yeah here we are with Harden. The guy is on a historic run, unlike...
