Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $9900 DK - $8400 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 51.61 DK - 53.13 The Sixers are coming off a tough loss to the Warriors on Sunday, a game they could have (probably should have) won at home. They’ll be without Joel Embiid for the fifth-straight game (though he does seem close to returning) and will again rely heavily on Simmons to play major minutes. In Embiid’s absence, Simmons is averaging 38 minutes per game and a 20 point, 11 rebound, eight assist average along with 1.4 steals. The extended run is worth the price of admission on these prices and he gets a much easier matchup against the Magic who have big-time matchup issues with Simmons’ versatility. The price is on the climb of course, but I’m still happy to roster him in cash games without Embiid. Stephen Curry FD - $9400 DK - $9000 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 48.5 DK - 51.73 Even with Klay Thompson’s status up in the air, I think I’d be fine playing Curry one way or the other against the Celtics. This is a tougher slate of games with a lot of good defenses and the value could be a little harder to come by especially if most of these teams come in fully healthy (except for the Sixers). Steph has really struggled shooting over the last week or so, going a combined 18-60 (30%) from three over his last four games. That’s pretty much the worst run of shooting for the season. It’s kept his price in a manageable spot on both sites and I think we could see another run of solid minutes in what should be a closer game. Not to invoke the gambler’s fallacy, but it does sure seem like Steph is *due*. If Paul George is out...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Monday 3/4/19
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Monday 3/4/19 On Monday, the Lakers and Clippers face off in one of the more interesting games of the season. Not only is there a ton of DFS relevance, but it's also a fight for the playoffs in the Western Conference. Let's take a look at some plays from that game, plus other value for FanDuel and DraftKings. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Point Guard Rajon Rondo FD - $6100 DK - $5500 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 33.23 DK - 34.47 The Lakers are basically at Death’s doorstep right now in a borderline (at worst) must-win game on Monday. The game against the Clippers is of the highest leverage if LA has really any shot to make the playoffs. A loss to the Clippers would mean LAC had the tiebreak in the Western Conference last playoff spot. Rondo has started the last couple of games and *should* stick with that group again on Monday. He was awful in the game against the Suns, going 1-10 from the field and playing only 26 minutes. Look for a bounce-back game and a return of steadier minutes in this one. He’s only a game removed from a near-triple double against the Bucks on Friday. The Clippers guards won't expose him too much on defense and this is a spot for him to stay on the court. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $4300 DK - $3900 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 20.88 DK - 20.57 Landry Shamet FD - $4600 DK - $4000 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 20.18 DK - 21.22 The minutes’ leash has been a little longer for SGA over the last two games with the rookie playing 32 and 29 respectively. His biggest issue, from a fantasy perspective, is that the run is just so variable. He can see 17 minutes just as easy as playing 30. But he’s had double-digit scoring nights in each of the last three following a horrendous 0/2/0/0/2 (steals) line against the Mavericks last Monday. He should be able to match up well with a stumbling Lakers’ squad though, in this game and my only concern is Gilgeous-Alexander does tend to see a few more minutes in blowouts. That might not be...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA picks for 3/3/18
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA picks for 3/3/18 Happy Sunday, daily fantasy basketball lovers! With the NFL in the rearview and MLB still a month away, the NBA has just the NHL to contend with, and you know what that means: a big fat Sunday NBA slate. Actually, we have multiple good slates here. We'll go ahead and break it down slate by slate so you can wrap your mind around the big considerations. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. EARLY SLATE It doesn't look like anything but the 1pm only slate is carrying the Charlotte/Portland game, so for the purposes of this writing we're going to pretend like that one doesn't exist. FanDuel is offering a 3:30 only slate and a 6pm main slate, so that's what we'll roll with for this article. So where do we go early? The Bulls vs. the Hawks The big news on this slate is the Chicago/Atlanta rematch. Chicago took down the Hawks 168-161 in a game that would go on the DFS Classic channel someday, even if it had exactly zero implications for the actual NBA this year. You had a lot of highly owned players that popped off completely, and you can expect more of the same coming into this one. Let's get into the specifics. Trae Young FD - $9100 DK - $8900Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 44.92 DK - 47.64 Zach LaVine FD - $8400 DK - $8100Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 40.71 DK - 41.9 The two highest owned players from the Hawks/Bulls opus were also the two highest scoring, with this duo putting together a combined 149.5 fantasy points on FanDuel. Young was a 54% play, and was a sneakily not so great play through three quarters. Still, it was obvious that he saw something he liked against the Bulls, as he got Dunn fouled out of the game and took 33 shots in the 55 minutes he was on the court. While the totals he put up here aren't sustainable, it's obvious that he was offensive options 1-3 and he will be hugely owned in this tiny slate as well. As for Lavine, it actually gets a little closer. He was solid in regulation (about 40 fantasy point), and then really shot the moon in overtime after Dunn fouled out. Still, he is an excellent cash game option here,...

We've got you completely covered. Point guard Kemba Walker FD - $9300 DK - $8200Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 46.47 DK - 47.95 We'll kick it off with an easy one. We were part of the 9% of people that played Kemba in cash games against Houston, and he promptly dropped 54.8 FanDuel points on 34 points from the field and 5 steals. Kemba is playing truly absurd minutes at the moment, with Charlotte clearly taking this playoff race with Orlando seriously. He's shot more than 20 times in 10 straight games, and yet his salary looks more like a 17-18 shot player. Brooklyn, meanwhile, is just a terrific match-up. They've allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards on account of their terrible defensive back court. I love Kemba as a pay-up option in any format tonight. Kris Dunn FD - $6000 DK - $5500Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 31.74 DK - 31.5 Tyler Johnson FD - $5700 DK - $5000Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 27.77 DK - 27.76 Two similarly priced options in somewhat similar situations by my estimation. Both have a lot of upside, and neither is without risk. Johnson is playing a 33 minute rotation in close games, and has paid 5x points per dollar in three straight games, including a 50 fantasy point monster against the Hawks. New Orleans is just a hair worse than Brooklyn in terms of match-ups, and the lack of Anthony Davis' full run has Vegas projecting this as a 4.5 point game. And then there's Dunn. He's had the questionable tag far too often to call him safe, but when he does play he tends to be out there for 30 minute rotations. Chicago is seemingly always at risk to get blown out, but they've struck gold in this match-up with the Hawks. While TJ and Kemba have great match-ups, Dunn has the very best match-ups for opposing point guards in the league. And like Johnson, Dunn is playing against a terrible enough team that his own lousy Bulls are just two point underdogs. I have to say, I love both of these plays, and don't envy having to leave one of the three guys above off my cash game lineups tonight. Shooting Guard Zach LaVine FD - $8300...

Point guard Kemba Walker FD - $8800 DK - $8500 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 45.9 DK - 47.44 Walker was in the $10,000-range not long ago and it's hard to understand why it has dropped so much. In fact, Walker is averaging 47 DK points across his last nine outings, as he's recaptured his early-season form. That's pretty much where our projections are at, as his usage alone makes him hard to overlook. Not only does Walker lead the team with a 30 percent usage rate, but Walker is also leading the team with 35 minutes and 20.3 shots per game. That sort of huge role should be beneficial against a Rockets defense who allows the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Goran Dragic FD - $4100 DK - $4700 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 21.4 DK - 22.37 It's weird to see Dragic's price below $5,000 on both sites but he continues to play limited minutes in his return from knee surgery. Dragic played 16 minutes in his first game back and played 23 minutes in his most recent outing. That means we should be looking at 25-30 minutes here, which is all you can ask for from someone of Dragic's ilk. In fact, Dragic averaged 28 fantasy points per game across his first 13 outings before injury while playing 30 minutes per game. If he can reach that 28-point total here, Dragic would be hitting 6-7X value. The uptick in pace can't be harmful either, with Golden State ranking 10th in total pace. There are a ton of injuries to focus on at point guard on this slate. Eric Bledsoe becomes one of the best plays if Giannis Antetokounmpo sits out, as he posts a 27 percent usage rate when he's off the floor. (Update: Giannis is probable to play now). Tyus Jones is also worth considering if Teague misses out for the T'Wolves. Don't forget about Patty Mills either, as he could play big minutes if Rudy Gay and Derrick White are out. Ryan Arcidiacono is also worth considering if Kris Dunn ends up sitting. Shooting Guard Andrew Wiggins FD - $6700 DK - $6200 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 36.71 DK - 36.71 Wiggins is not necessarily my...
