Podcast - Friday NBA DFS plays and Betting Angles for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/8/19 Listen to "Friday NBA DFS plays and Betting Angles for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/8/19" on Spreaker. DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA podcast discussing a nine-game NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKing, plus some betting action. They go game-by-game discussing cash game plays for both sites, plus some lines that look a little bit off. There are the Sixers still without Joel Embiid against the Rockets. They talk about whether guys like Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler are cash game viable plus if we are starting to get discounts on some of the Rockets. They also look at the Pistons’ big men of Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond against a very weak Chicago front court and whether stacking them in cash games is the play. And finally, does Klay Thompson coming back for the Warriors mean some of the other big names on the team are out of consideration now? FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday 3/8/19 After a tougher two-game Thursday slate, the NBA returns on Friday with nine games and plenty of storylines. The Sixers are still without Joel Embiid, the Thunder are on a back-to-back after an overtime win over the Blazers and the Warriors are getting Klay Thompson back. All of this and more as we break down Friday's action for FanDuel and DraftKings. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $10600 DK - $9100 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 49.15 DK - 49.3 The price continues to creep up for Simmons and rightfully so. With Joel Embiid out since the All-Star Break, the Sixers have called on Simmons to pick up a lot of the slack both in terms of minutes and usage. In the last seven games, Simmons is averaging 38 minutes, 15 shots, 19 points, 11 rebounds eight assists and two blocks. That’s good for around 52 FanDuel points per game in that stretch and dude remains a cash game pick on FanDuel and DraftKings once again. The matchup against Houston isn’t ideal, but the minutes should be there once again. There’s no early line on this game, but I suspect it opens as one of the highest over/unders on the slate. Frank Jackson FD - $3700 DK - $3200 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 21.49 DK - 22.47 Jrue Holiday has been ruled out for the next week and the Pelicans will have some guard minutes opening up in the short term. Last game, against the Jazz, Jackson saw plenty of bench minutes, running 28 and finishing with 13 points and four rebounds. With E’twaun Moore also ruled out, I suspect Jackson gets the start on Friday and could be in line for a lot of minutes. The Pelicans also have Ian Clark around to pick up some run as well. On a big slate, Jackson makes for an interesting min-price punt play. He doesn’t have a tremendous amount of upside, but the price allows for quite a bit of flexibility and I doubt he kills you considering the price. Strongly consider Russell Westbrook (FD 11700 DK 10800) even on the back-to-back after the overtime win against Portland on Thursday. With the...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – 3/7/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - 3/7/19 Happy Thursday, friends! After a weird, wild Wednesday we get a much tamer two game slate to chew on tonight. It happens to feature some really good basketball teams, but some pretty brutal NBA DFS match-ups. But you don't pay us the big bucks to complain. You want to value. So let's dig it out. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Indiana Pacers at the Milwaukee Bucks Milwaukee is favored by 10.5 in a game with a 222 total. If you've read any of my game by game breakdowns before, you'll know that in general I try to stick with a "beggars can't be choosers" mentality with so few options. That being said, your top priority tonight is likely going to be trying to get as many guys from the OKC-POR game in as possible. This game features just about as many terrible things as you can imagine. It's squarely in the blowout range with the Bucks favored by 10.5 points. Early returns have no real extra value opening up on either side, and you have two teams that play their guys somewhat reliable minutes. And perhaps worst of all, Milwaukee and Indiana rank #1 and #2 in the league in terms of defensive efficiency, respectively. On any slate of normal size this would be a full on skip. On a two game slate? Welp, here we go. Brook Lopez FD - $6200 DK - $5300Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 27.12 DK - 26.38 The only serviceable play on Milwaukee, and I'm not even convinced I want to go that far. Giannis is far from an attractive payoff option (especially since it will be tough to fit him with Westbrook and Lillard, whom our system thinks are the best plays on their respective teams). That leaves us with Lopez. The only way Lopez winds up in your cash games tonight is if you simply have to play the cheapest available option. There is a chance that winds up being the case, with Myles Turner and Nurkic both looking pretty overpriced right now. Adams is a fine play, but he doesn't look too different from Lopez from where I'm sitting, and we have other places where we kind of need to spend up....

FanDuel and DraftKings NBA Picks for Wednesday, 3/6/19

Posted by on Mar 6, 2019 in Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups, Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks, DraftKings NBA Picks, FanDuel NBA Picks, featured, News | 0 comments

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA picks for 3/6/19 We've got a big NBA slate coming down the pike with some interesting sub-plots. Will Lebron and the Lakers stay in *playoff mode*? Will the Pelicans give us Anthony Davis news before lock? Has Boston turned it around after the blowout against the Warriors on Tuesday? There's a lot to dissect along with some FanDuel and DraftKings' plays. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard Ben Simmons FD - $9900 DK - $8900 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 54.17 DK - 55.52 Simmons has been fantastic without Joel Embiid (knee) in the lineup, as he's seen a huge increase in his usage. In fact, Simmons is averaging more than 15 shots per game since Embiid went down while leading the Sixers in usage rate. It's led to some of his best fantasy numbers of the year too, with Simmons scoring at least 52 DK points in five of his last six games while averaging 48 fantasy points per game in that span. That recent hot stretch becomes even more enticing when you consider the fact that Simmons faces a Chicago defense who owns a 29th OPRK against point guards according to DraftKings. That was clear when Simmons dropped 55 fantasy points in his one game against the Bulls earlier this season. Kemba Walker FD - $9300 DK - $8300 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 45.66 DK - 47.24 Walker has recaptured his early-season form, as he's in full takeover mode right now with Charlotte battling for their playoff lives. In fact, Walker has at least 35 DK points in 11 of his last 12 games while reaching at least 48 fantasy points eight times in that stretch. That's easy to understand why when you consider the fact that Walker is playing 37.3 minutes per game in that span while leading the team with a 32 percent usage rate and 23.2 shots per game. That's a monstrous role, as he should be a five-figure player on both sites with that sort of usage in his favor. Not to mention, Walker is averaging 48 DK points per game in two outings against the Heat this season. Also consider: Rajon Rondo is a good option on DraftKings at $6,000, as he should continue to start after dropping an impressive triple-double on Monday. Shooting Guard Jimmy...
