Houston Rockets at the New Orleans Pelicans Houston is favored by 9.5 in a game with a 228 total The main slate kicks off with what could have been a doozy 4 months ago. Now it's mostly just a black eye on the league. The Pelicans have no yet publicly declared whether Davis will play here, and if he does it's quite likely we'll the Pelicans continue to scam their fans by playing him 20 minutes a game. Unfortunately, a lot of his teammates are priced to the minutes and usage they see when he's off the floor, so we're not exactly long on great plays here. Our system likes Julius Randle best of the Pelicans starters, which won't be music to too many ears out there. There's still a case that Cheick Diallo is the best overall play on the team, but is he a cash game play? Nahh. Eric Gordon FD - $4700 DK - $5100Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 25.78 DK - 27.26 P.J. Tucker FD - $4500 DK - $4100Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 24.25 DK - 23.83 Which brings us to the Rockets. Unlike the Pelicans, our lineup optimizer sees essentially every starting Rocket as a DFS viable play tonight. The big question will just be whether the Pelicans can be competitive enough to get these guys their minutes. I highlight these two guys because they are all at once the most speculative and those containing the highest upside thanks simply to their current prices. Both are coming off games where they played high 30s minutes, and while the game logs are pretty ugly (0 points from Tucker last game??), on a smaller slate you may need to find value where you can. I still think the floor should be reasonably high here. I like all three of Clint Capela, Chris Paul, and James Harden, but probably in that order. Harden is just expensive right now for Chris Paul being healthy, and I'm not sure he's the big money payoff we're looking for today. San...

We've got you completely covered.Point guardBen Simmons FD - $9500 DK - $8300Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 45.3 DK - 45.05Simmons hasn't quite been the same player with Joel Embiid in the lineup but it has lowered his price to these tempting numbers. Even with that in mind, Simmons is still averaging 47 fantasy points per game across his last two fixtures and he's still a threat for a triple-double every time he takes the floor. What really makes Simmons an intriguing option here is the matchup, with Atlanta ranking first in pace and dead-last in total defense. In addition, they allow the most fantasy points in the league to opposing point guards. It also doesn't hurt that Simmons is averaging 59.5 DK points per game in two games against them this season.Tyus Jones FD - $5400 DK - $5600Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 27.1 DK - 26.11Jones has taken over starting point guard duties in the absence of Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague and it's done wonders for his fantasy value. In 13 starts this season, Jones is averaging 30 DraftKings points per game. The minutes are hard to overlook too, with Jones playing at least 27 minutes in five-straight starts while averaging close to 31 minutes per game. That's approaching 6X value in its own right and he should have success against a Memphis backcourt without Mike Conley. Also Consider:Quinn Cook should start and see about 20-25 minutes in the absence of Stephen Curry, which makes him a value at this price. Shaq Harrison has also been much better recently and remains a great value in the $4,000-range.    Shooting GuardBradley Beal FD - $10100 DK - $9300Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 54.37 DK - 55.68It's hard to fade Beal right now, as he's become one of the most consistent players in fantasy basketball. Where that's really evident is in his floor, with Beal scoring at least 46 DK points in 18 of his last 20 games while averaging 52 fantasy points per game in that span. That's the production of a player who should be closer to $11,000. It's easy to understand why he's been so dominant when looking at his usage. Since John Wall went down, Beal is leading the team with 39 minutes and 21 shots per game while posting a usage rate north...

I know most eyes will be far away from this slate and right onto March Madness, but I know there will be plenty of slackers that can’t help the NBA itch. We have a very solid 6-game slate on our hands with plenty of options at every position. We’ll kick things off in Charlotte, where the Hornets will host the Timberwolves. Kemba Walker draws a very friendly match-up with both Teague and Rose out, so he should take advantage before they end up switching Okogie onto him. We are hoping that eventually happens as it just means Kemba is going off. He hasn’t shot the ball well in the last couple games, but should turn that around against a Timberwolves team that allows the 9th most three-pointers with space. He has a floor well over 40 and a ceiling into the 60’s. Kemba Walker is still affordable on both sites and a phenomenal cash game and tournament play. Walker is a great option in all formats.  De'Anthony Melton FD - $3600 DK - $3900Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 22.16 DK - 21.57 Tyler Johnson has already been announced as out for tonight's game against the Pistons, so De'Anthony Melton will grab another start at point guard. He flopped last game (10 FP) against the Bulls, but excelled in the same position the game before (31 FP). He now faces a Pistons team that ranks in the middle of the road against opposing point guards and doesn't mind picking up the pace with their opponent. The Suns will do their best to force their hand and Melton should not have any issue getting to at least a fantasy point per minute. He's extremely cheap on both sites and will demolish value if given closer to 30 minutes. He's as safe as can be at a point guard position that's not as plentiful as usual. Tyus Jones FD - $5300 DK - $5400Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 24.87 DK - 24.06 With Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose out, Tyus Jones can be locked in as one of the better value plays on the night. He’s been over 24 fantasy points in four of...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 3/19/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday 3/19/19   Well, this Wednesday already has given us a ton of injury news (and there could be more to come). At the time of this post Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid and Lebron James have already been ruled out. Even one of those guys sitting would open up a slate's worth of value. And now we have at least three superstars sitting.   Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $9400 DK - $8500Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 49.92 DK - 51.41 We have a decent comp for what fantasy life is like for the Sixers when Joel Embiid isn’t around considering he had an eight-game stretch missed right after the All-Star Break. During that time, Simmons took the reins, averaging 37 minutes, 19 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists per game. Combine that kind of outlook with the price dropping over the last week because Embiid returned to the mix. We have a perfect combination of circumstances leading us into Simmons as a cash play against the Hornets.   There is just a ton of point guard value opening up here with injury news coming in during the day.   Eric Bledsoe (FD 7400 DK 6400) is now in a fantastic spot with Giannis being ruled out against the Lakers. Bledsoe has a 27% usage rate with Giannis off the court this season. The former did struggle back on 2/25 when Giannis sat, playing only 26 minutes, but I think he’d still be in line for much more on Tuesday. Similarly, Rajon Rondo (FD 6500 DK 6000) should be in line for a ton of run with Lebron James ruled out. The latter sat out last Friday and Rondo played 37 minutes, finishing with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Spencer Dinwiddie (FD 5800 DK 6000) also makes for an interesting cash game play even coming off the bench for the Nets. With Allen Crabbe out of the mix, Dinwiddie did play 33 minutes. He was horrible from the field, shooting 2-16 and coming in under value. You have to love the usage rate though and I’d go back to the well.     Shooting Guard D'Angelo Russell FD - $8100 DK - $7400Opponent -...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Monday 3/18/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Monday 3/18/19   This is shaping up to be a crazy day leading into lineup lock with all of the injury news. Between players resting, injuries, suspensions and more, we could be looking at some true craziness. Take that in mind with this initial writeup. I’ll try to wade through a lot of the scenarios.   Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Jeremy Lin FD - $3600 DK - $4100 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 20.34 DK - 20.82 I know this probably isn’t the name some people want to see because of his recent performance, but there’s very good reason to suspect Lin plays a ton of minutes in this game. Kyle Lowry was ruled out very early from Sunday’s game and might not be all that close to a return. Kawhi Leonard is probably going to sit out on the back-to-back and Fred VanVleet played limited minutes after an extended injury absence. It’s unlikely he plays in this game. That could just leave Lin to pick up a ton of backcourt minutes in a game Toronto probably isn’t dying to win against New York. Maybe if they had beaten Detroit and pulled within two games of the Bucks, but three games back at this point probably just means they’re locked into the two seed. Keep an ear out for this news as Toronto’s remaining players could shape the slate.   Damian Lillard FD - $10000 DK - $9000 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 45.07 DK - 46.49 C.J. McCollum has already been ruled out for this game meaning we should get a ton of Lillard usage and minutes. With Portland in a dogfight for the fourth seed in the Western Conference (and home court in the first round) this is very much a spot to pay up for Dame. He goes from a full-season 29.6% usage rate to a 41% when C.J. is off the court. That’s about as big a bump as you’ll see in the league from one situation to the other. Lillard is getting a little expensive considering he’s been healthy and productive basically all season, but he’s very much in play, especially on DraftKings.   If Tyler Johnson is out again, then...
