The DFSR team is back with another DFS NBA cash game podcast for Tuesday's 8 game slate. Tonight's slate is shaping up to be a weird one, with relatively few obvious punt plays and a general lack of truly exciting big money plays as well. It's rare that we will recommend selecting mostly mid-range plays, but that's how it's coming together for us now. With the Raptors in a great spot against the Hawks, there's a strong case to be made for playing any of Lowry, VanVleet, Siakam, and Gasol. Going the other way, Trae had a great game when these teams met a week ago as well. Our system sees Zion as a pretty clear cut cash game play tonight, but the rest of power forward is looking a little bit tough. We're also looking at some prospective Celtics value tonight if Tatum were to wind up sitting. Tune in for some great hoops discussion, and as always head on over to https://www.dailyfantasysportsrankings.com/deals for access to the projection system that powers these...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 1/28/20 In case you missed the news, the Lakers-Clippers game scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $7300 DK - $7200Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 40.06 DK - 41.49 The Raptors walk into the best matchup on the slate against the Hawks who play the third-worst defense in the league and run the third-fastest pace. That’s a team built to stack against in DFS and we could be looking at just that scenario. Even though the Raptors are getting healthier there’s still plenty to like about the team from a fantasy perspective. The main piece is the concentration of minutes around the starters. Lowry’s played 35 or more minutes in each of the last three games and is averaging 19 points, four rebounds and four assists in that stretch. Those numbers won’t blow you away, but consider he’s also running bad from three (4-20) while also contributing some defensive stats and I think you have a higher floor play in a perfect matchup. Kemba Walker FD - $8000 DK - $7800Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 41.73 DK - 43.18 Jayson Tatum has already been ruled out for Tuesday and that means we could be looking at another volume shooting game from Walker. Kemba has put up 24 and 23 shots respectively over the last two games with the Celtics dealing with some injury issues. He’s piled on 35 and 37 points with six steals combined. Without Tatum, it helps to play Walker more minutes to keep Boston with consistent scoring threats. Miami is a toucher matchup so this isn’t quite the layup we had in cash with Kemba over the last two games, but he’s still a high floor play because of the usage and ranks as a good DraftKings play. Strongly consider Elfrid Payton (FD $6300 DK $6000) against the Hornets. Shooting Guard Fred Vanvleet FD - $7500 DK - $8200Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 41.78 DK - 41.94 He’s on the...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Sunday, 1/26/20
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/26/20 Sunday in the NBA gives us a split slate of action with two “early” games and then a six-game main slate starting at 6PM EST. There’s plenty to like with some great DFS matchups, injury news paving the way for cheaper value and a couple of spend up options for cash. Let’s take a look at the DraftKings and FanDuel plays. Point Guard Ricky Rubio FD - $5700 DK - $6500Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 35.06 DK - 35.71 From a fantasy perspective, Rubio has really struggled in the short term with only five assists total in his last two games and less than double digit points in two of the last four. The minutes have more than been there, but the production is really lacking. But the matchups haven’t been exactly ideal with two games against the Spurs, plus the Pacers and Celtics in the last week or so. He’ll get a chance to turn things around against a Memphis team ranked in the bottom third in defensive efficiency and running a 105.6 pace. The price, especially on FanDuel is a pretty easy play at this point and doesn’t carry all that much risk even with the short term performance. T.J. McConnell FD - $4600 DK - $5000Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 27.74 DK - 27.75 McConnell got the start for the injured Malcolm Brogdon on Friday and put up a solid line with 12 points and eight assists in 30 minutes. Brogdon has already been ruled out for Sunday and TJ should once again grab the start. Portland has allowed more than league average production to opposing point guards this season, with ones putting up 3% more points against the Blazers. The price on both sites ticked up a bit, but he’s still a solid value and considering the Pacers put up 129 points against the Warriors last time out with McConnell out it stands to reason he sees plenty of run again. Strongly consider Elfrid Payton (FD $5800 DK $5500) against the Nets. And along the same lines, Kyrie Irving (FD $8700 DK $9000) is coming off a monster game against the Pistons on Saturday. He...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Saturday, 1/25/20
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday, 1/25/19 While we only have four games on this night slate, it should be an interesting one. All four games sit within a six-point spread. That should make for a ton of close games which is fantasy goodness for us DFS players. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $8700 DK - $8700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 47.87 DK - 48.67 Irving hasn't found his way into our articles much this season because of injury but he's been way too good to be priced this cheaply. In fact, the All-Star is averaging 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.4 steals en route to 47. 2 DraftKings points per outing. If you look at every other player below $9,000, none of them average more than 37 fantasy points per game. That shows you just how much of a value Kyrie is right now and some tough matchups along with missed time have lowered his price tag to these intriguing numbers. Irving has actually played the Sixers, Lakers, Jazz and Bucks over the last four games and is still averaging 44 fantasy points per game in that span. Detroit is certainly not on those teams levels defensively, sitting 20th in defensive efficiency. In his first game against Detroit, Irving dropped 52.3 DK points, if you needed any more incentive. Derrick Rose FD - $6800 DK - $7500Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 39.22 DK - 39.87 While Rose has been getting some slack for all of the All-Star votes he's been receiving, it's hard to argue with his recent numbers. Over his last nine games played, Rose is averaging 38 DraftKings points per game despite playing just 31 minutes per outing. That pairs nicely with the fact that he's been inserted into the starting lineup and Detroit is clearly realizing that this is their best playmaker right now. It's really no surprise that he's seen such an increase when you consider that Luke Kennard and Blake Griffin are both injured. That increase in role and production makes Rose a fantastic play against a Brooklyn, owning a 30th OPRK against PGs according to DraftKings. Chris Paul remains a nice value in the $7,000-range against a...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 1/24/20 Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Derrick Rose FD - $6900 DK - $7600Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 37.23 DK - 37.72Rose continues to have incredibly high usage for this Pistons’ team without Blake Griffin and has taken over the starting point guard responsibilities in the short term. That hasn’t translated to consistently high minutes but the shot volume is definitely there. He’s taken 17 or more shots in four of the last five games and is averaging 23 points and seven assists in that stretch. He’ll face a Memphis team ranked 22nd in defense and playing the fifth-fastest pace in the league. For Rose, this should mean continued production and he’s still something of a FanDuel value. The only issue is there have been some inconsistent minutes even in some closer games, but I’m not as concerned with that here. T.J. McConnell FD - $4200 DK - $4900Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 24.29 DK - 24.17Malcolm Brogdon has already been ruled out for Friday’s game meaning the Pacers will need to fill a bunch of minutes at point guard. Though Aaron Holiday had seen this role in the past with Brogdon out, on Wednesday it was TJ who got the second-half start against the Suns. He was excellent going for 10 points and 11 assists in 27 minutes. It stands to reason he gets the start here against the Warriors and would instantly become one of the better punt values on the slate. Keep an ear out for this news over the course of the day. If Trae Young has to sit out again, I’d feel okay going back to Jeff Teague (FD $4400 DK $4800) if he got the start again. I also don’t mind JA Morant (FD $7100 DK $7000) going against the Pistons. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10800 DK - $11100Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 60.61 DK - 63.3There is already some cheaper value opening up on this Friday slate meaning we’ll have some money to spend on the top-tier of players. Harden should be at the top of that mountain. His price has stagnated some in the short term because of a blowout and some...
