Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury News and Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/15/16 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! SEE OUR NEW TOOLS NOW! What We Know Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic are out again Enter CJ Watson! If he plays. He's got the NBA Flu, and this might just be Brandon Jennings instead. But Jennings also has Achilles issues. Maybe Shabazz Napier? Oy, what a mess. If he does play, Watson is very interesting. He was bad against Portland, but great against the Kings. It's clear that the Magic are content to play him high 20s low 30s minutes if things are going well, but that makes me a lot more confident to deploy him in big tourneys than in 50/50s. Meanwhile, Vucevic's continued absence makes way for more shots for everyone, and increased playing time for Dedmon and Jason Smith. Smith put up one monster game in this role, and both have been fairly solid. But the combination of getting Skilesed and generally low minutes to begin with has me a little cautious with playing either in a 50/50. Hollis Thompson, Nerlens Noel get bumps with Covington and Grant out again All three have shown big fantasy upside, and Landry and Noel have shown great safety as well. Terrific match-up for all of them, and I'd be happy to play them anywhere. Lou Williams screwed up everyone's minutes in LA Well, him and Kobe playing together did. It's a real shame, because this is an awesome match-up for guards, but I'm not sure you can trust anyone to play more than 30 minutes. And their various prices, that leaves only Kobe Bryant as a consideration for me on the Lakers tonight. Brandon Bass sitting (more on that later) would free up some of the big minutes, but the guard situation is just a quagmire right now.   What We're Waiting to Know Kobe Bryant - a "game time decision" The Lakers have slapped Kobe with a GTD every day it seems, but we often know well before tip-off what the real story is. As of now...

Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. It's a shorter slate and a light news day, but we'll be updating as stuff rolls in. Also throw out some ideas in the comments and we can take it from there. What We Know Kevin Love out - big boosts to Kyrie Irving, LeBron, and Tristan Thompson Kyrie gets the lead picture here because he's the primary beneficiary of Love's absence. With Love off the court, his usage jumps from 30% to 36%, a 20% relative increase, as opposed to just a 12.5% increase for LeBron. Thompson played 32 minutes the last time Love sat, but did not score a point (though he did snare 15 rebounds). It'll also be interesting to see how Love's minutes get distributed across the rest of the team. Anderson Varejao played 27 minutes when Love sat on 2/6, and he's not on the team anymore. I'm guessing most of those will go to Channing Frye, who won't make much of a difference.   What We're Waiting to Know Will Evan Fournier definitely play? He's listed as probable after missing the last three games. This would kill Mario Hezonja's value, and ding Oladipo as well. As for Fournier, I won't play him until I see him log his full run of minutes, though a wrist injury isn't usually the type of thing to cause much change in minutes. The big thing we'll look out for here is how it affects his shooting. We've seen guys fall off a cliff while recovering from injuries like this in the past (think Nic Batum last year). Jahlil Okafor - will his shin bruise keep him out again? It seems like an odd amount of...

It's a shorter slate and a light news day, but we'll be updating as stuff rolls in. Also throw out some ideas in the comments and we can take it from there. What We Know Rodney Stuckey is expected to play It's hard to say how many minutes he's going to take, given that it's his first game now. A lot has changed since Stuckey went down for the Pacers. Myles Turner is playing more than twice as many minutes now than he was, for instance. For now, we've offered downward guidance on Ellis and George Hill. Stuckey's not a risk worth taking at this point, and this might move Ellis from being a "super safe" play, to a little more speculative. Chris Paul - FD 9800 DK 9600 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 44.12 DK Proj. Pts - 46.01 Chris Paul is playing. He suffered a little arm woes in the 4th quarter of his last game, but it didn't seem to cause him a lot of problems. Deploy him as usual.   What We’re Waiting to Know What's up withRajon Rondo's toe or thumb or whatever He's been listed as probable for weeks, and this downgrade to questionable is ominous. Darren Collison has already been playing a lot of minutes, so more run would make him a phenomenal play. Keep on eye on this, especially for late-swap sites like DraftKings. Tony Allen's status He's being listed as questionable after missing a game where he was active. I'm assuming he'll play limited minutes as best, and like all the Memphis guys as much as I did in their last go-around. <Pau Gasol and Derrick...
