Brickyard 400 Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Speedway, IN Track - 2.5 Mile Oval Banking - 9° Laps - 160 This week the Monster Energy Cup Series head to Speedway Indiana for the Brickyard 400. Yes, I know it's the Brantley Gilbert Big Machine Brickyard 400 now but you will never hear that out of my mouth. These sponsorship plugs in NASCAR are getting out of hand. Did you hear the guy doing the command the other week going on and on for like five minutes about his company? Four simple words. Drivers. Start. Your. Engines. Now that I got that out of my system we can get into the race this week. NASCAR makes its annual trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for one of the most prestigious races in the series where the winner will get to kiss the Bricks that lay across the start/finish line. The track is a 2.5 mile oval that can present a challenge for drivers with its high speeds in the straightaways and very flat banking in the corners. This will be the 24th running of the Brickyard 400 and of the 23 previous races, the winner has gone on to win the NASCAR championship nine times. From a daily fantasy perspective, track position is going to be key once again as the last five winners all started inside the Top 10 and twice from the pole position. There has also been only five drivers of a possible 40 over the last four years that started outside the Top 20 and finished inside the Top 10. We are also likely to see just one dominator this week as there have been five straight races where one driver led 70 or more laps and only twice in the last six races have two drivers led more than 40 laps each. With that in mind, let's jump in and take a look at some of the trends from the cheatsheet and then look...

Overton's 301 New Hampshire Motor Speedway - Loudon, NH Track - 1.058 Mile Oval Intermediate Banking - 12° This week the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Overton's 301. This is the first of two races here at NHMS this season and will be the last year with double-duty as Las Vegas will take over the Playoff stop starting in 2018. The track is a 1.058 Mile oval that is flat with just 12° of banking and is best compared to Phoenix in size and car setups. From a fantasy perspective, there are 301 laps so once again dominator points will be at the top of the checklist when constructing our lineups. Looking at the last six races here dating back to 2014, there have been eight drivers who have led 100+ laps including two in each of last year's races here at NHMS. Track position here is absolutely key as passing is very difficult. It has shown as all 12 drivers who have led over 60 laps in the last six races have all started inside the Top 10. Stay tuned for qualifying as it will be very important to determining our top plays and values. I will have the cheatsheet updated following each session and will update my final picks video at the bottom of the article. Let's dive in and take a look at some of the top trends and my top pre-qualifying/practice targets going into the race weekend. Last Six Winners 2016 Fall - Kevin Harvick (Started 19th, led 8 laps) 2016 Summer - Matt Kenseth (Started 18th, led 38 laps) 2015 Fall - Matt Kenseth (Started 13th, led 27 laps) 2015 Summer -Kyle Busch (Started 4th, led 96 laps) 2014 Fall - Joey Logano (Started 7th, led 73 laps) 2014 Summer - Brad...

If you are looking for a review of last week's picks and performance of the cheatsheet, be sure to check out Chris's recap article. Quaker State 400 Kentucky Speedway - Sparta, KY Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate Banking - 14° This week the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels to Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400 on Saturday night. This marks the seventh year that the highest series in NASCAR will race on the intermediate track and as you will see shortly, it has been dominated by a just a few drivers. That could change a bit this season with races now run in stages which has proven to change up the strategies on most tracks. From a fantasy perspective, we are back to trying to nail down one or two dominator drivers as each of the six races here have seen one driver lead 100+ laps and half of those races seen that driver win the race. The correlation between starting and finishing position is also back up after seeing a negative correlation at Daytona. That doesn't mean place differential should be discounted, however, as multiple drivers starting 20th or back have finished inside the Top 10 in three of the last four races and with stage racing we should see it once again this year. Let's now dig in and take a look at some of the top trends and soem of my early week/pre-qualifying picks. Last Six Winners 2016 - Brad Keselowski (Started 2nd, led 75 laps) 2015 - Kyle Busch (Started 9th, led 163 laps) 2014 - Brad Keselowski (Started 1st, led 199 laps) 2013 - Matt Kenseth (Started 19th, led 38 laps) 2012 - Brad Keselowski (Started 8th, led 68 laps) 2011 - Kyle Busch (Started 1st, led 125 laps) Weekend Schedule Practice 1 - Friday, July 7 @10:00 a.m. ET Practice 2 - Friday, July 7 @1:00 p.m. ET Qualifying - Friday, July 7 @7:30 p.m. ET Race - Saturday July 8 @ 7:30 p.m. ET Top 5 Current and Career Track History at Kentucky...

If you are looking for a review of last week's picks and performance of the cheatsheet, be sure to check out Chris's recap article & video. Coke Zero 400 Daytona International Speedway - Daytona Beach, FL Track - 2.5 Mile Tri-Oval Superspeedway(Restrictor Plate Track) Banking - 31° This week the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels back to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero 400. This week's race will take place on Saturday night underneath the lights as it always does on the Independence Day weekend(although this year it falls on a Tuesday). I love it as the race falls on Canada Day, which also happens to be my birthday and the start of my holidays. Note to self: enter lineups the night before. The Coke Zero 400 is the third of four restrictor plate races of the season which once again changes up the strategy. The correlation of starting position to finishing position is about as low as we will see throughout the year. Looking at the cheatsheet, I documented the last six summer races here at Daytona and no one year had a correlation higher than .375 and 2015 even showed a negative correlation. This combined with the fact there are only 160 laps and stage racing, brings the importance of dominator points down while giving a huge boost to place differential in my model. Before jumping into the aerly week pickslet's take a look at some of the trends from Daytona. Last Six Winners(Summer 400-Mile Race) 2016 - Brad Keselowski (Started 5th, led 115 laps) 2015 - Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Started 1st, led 96 laps) 2014 - Aric Almirola (Started 15th, led 14 laps) 2013 - Jimmie Johnson(Started 8th, led 94 laps) 2012 - Tony Stewart (Started 42nd, led 22 laps) 2011 - David Ragan (Started 5th, led 15 laps) Top 5 Current Track History at Daytona Since the start of the 2015 season, Joey Logano has a win at Daytona and comes in with three straight Top 6 finishes for a 7.8 average finish. Denny Hamlin 2016 Daytona 500 and has three Top...

Toyota Save Mart 350 Infineon Raceway - Sonoma, CA Track - 2.52 Mile Road Course This week the Monster Energy Cup Series heads to Sonoma, California for the first of two road-course races on the schedule. They are both very unique setups and for a closer look at Infineon Raceway check out Parker Kligerman on the iRacing Simulator go over a lap here. .@PKligerman takes to the iRacing Simulator to give you a lap around @RaceSonoma https://t.co/bV6ActeHqc — NASCAR on NBC (@NASCARonNBC) June 23, 2017 With just 110 laps in the race, it will really limit the dominator potential of a driver especially considering the new strategies in place with stage racing in 2017. More important this week will be finishing position and place differential. It is very tough to come from too far back and finish Top as we have only seen seven drivers who started outside of 20th finish Top 10 in the last six races but Top 15's are definitely in play for those drivers. Every point will matter this week. Let's dig in and take a look at some of the race trends and drivers who have succeeded here and on road courses in general. I will then go over a few of my top picks for the week and then post a YouTube video later on Saturday going over my top picks with all practice and qualifying info entered into the sheet. Last Six Winners 2016 - Tony Stewart (Started 10th, led 22 laps) 2015 - Kyle Busch (Started 11th, led 17 laps) 2014 - Carl Edwards (Started 4th, led 26 laps) 2013 - Martin Truex Jr. (Started 14th, led 51 laps) 2012 - Clint Bowyer (Started 6th, led 71 laps) 2011 - Kurt Busch (Started 11th, led 76 laps) Top 5 Track History at Sonoma (2 Year) Tony Stewart won the race here last year which ended up being his final win of his career. Looking at the active drivers over the last two years, Kyle Busch has the other win(2015) but there are six drivers who...
