We've got you completely covered.   Welcome back to another exciting season of daily fantasy NASCAR. We are now just 20 days from the 60th running of the Daytona 500 so I wanted to put together a season preview series looking at each team and driver and their average fantasy production on each track type from 2017 and their outlook going into the 2018 season. If you are new to fantasy NASCAR, especially on DraftKings, be sure to check out my strategy article coming out soon covering some basic strategy for cash games and GPP formats.   Stewart-Haas Racing It was a year of change for the Stewart-Haas Racing team as they switched manufacturers and transitioned from Chevrolet to Ford. While many(including myself) believed it would take some time to make the necessary adjustments, they surprised us all in the first race of the season as Kurt Busch won his first Daytona 500. The team also welcomed veteran driver, Clint Bowyer, on board as he took over for the retired and future Hall of Famer, Tony Stewart. The 2017 season also ended up being the final one for Danica Patrick in the #10 car. Aric Almirola will replace her after spending the previous six season in the #43 for Richard Petty Motorsports. Kurt Busch's win at Daytona and Kevin Harvick's win at Sonoma propelled the two drivers into the playoffs as the only two on the team as Clint Bowyer finished 18th and Danica Patrick 28th in the regular season standings. Busch was eliminated in the first round after finishing no better than 19th in the first three races of the playoffs but Harvick made it all the way to the final four finishing third behind Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch. Let' snow take a look at each driver and their fantasy performance last season. 2018 Drivers Kevin Harvick #4 It was a slow start to the season for Harvick who picked up just two Top 10 finishes in his first six races but finished the regular season with 15 Top 10's in his final 20 races including a win at Sonoma to earn him a berth in the Monster Energy...

If you are new to fantasy NASCAR, especially on DraftKings, be sure to check out my strategy article coming out soon covering some basic strategy for cash games and GPP formats. Hendrick Motorsports While the Hendrick Motorsports organization sent three drivers to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, it was a disappointing season overall. They combined for just four wins(Jimmie Johnson with three of them) and saw no drivers make the final four. It was a season-long farewell to Dale Earnhardt Jr. who is stepping away from driving and into the NBC booth. From a driving standpoint, it was a disappointing final season as he didn't reach Victory Lane and only recorded one Top 5 and eight Top 10 finishes. Despite picking up his 18th career win, Kasey Kahne was very inconsistent once again prompting HMS and Kahne to part ways going into the 2018 season. The core of the race team will have an entirely new look and feel in 2018 as Alex Bowman will step into the #88 car, Chase Elliott will switch over to the #9 car, and William Byron will jump up from the Xfinity series to drive the #24 car. Let's jump in and take a look at Chaes Elliott and Jimmie Johnson's performance on each track type in 2017 and all four drivers outlook's for 2018.   2018 Drivers Jimmie Johnson #48 The 2017 season started out on a low note as the seven-time Cup Series champion got caught up in a crash at the Daytona 500 and only recorded one Top 10 finish(Phoenix-9th) in his first six races. He made up for the slow start after that with back to back wins at Texas and Bristol(shown in video above) and grabbed a third win at Dover in June. Unfortunately for the #48...

If you are new to fantasy NASCAR, especially on DraftKings, be sure to check out my strategy article coming out soon covering some basic strategy for cash games and GPP formats. Team Penske & Wood Brothers Racing It was an up and down season for the Team Penske duo of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano in 2017. It started off on a high note when Joey Logano and crew chief Todd Gordon were signed to a long-term contract extension through 2022 and that momentum carried over through the first quarter of the season. Between Logano(8) and Keselowski(7), they had recorded 15 Top 10 finishes but things went downhill for the #22 after post-race inspection following the Richmond win left the team with an encumbered finish and in the end, short of a playoff spot. It was a fantastic year for Wood Brothers Racing as Ryan Blaney, in his second full season, took a giant leap forward not only making the playoffs but getting all the way to the round of 8 before being eliminated. The big off-season news out of the Team Penske camp was the promotion of Ryan Blaney into the seat of the resurrected #12 car as a part of a new three-car team in 2018. The move prompted the Wood Brothers to go out and sign free agent Paul Menard to run the #21 car. Let's jump in and have a look at how each driver performed across the board in 2017 and their 2018 fantasy outlook. 2018 Drivers Brad Keselowski #2 After getting caught up in a wreck at the Daytona 500 last season, Keselowski went on to pick up a win in Atlanta and then four straight Top 5's before picking up another win in Martinsville. While his regular season...

We've got you completely covered.   Welcome back to another exciting season of daily fantasy NASCAR. We are now just 36 days from the 60th running of the Daytona 500 so I wanted to put together a season preview series looking at each team and driver and their average fantasy production on each track type from 2017 and their outlook going into the 2018 season. If you are new to fantasy NASCAR, especially on DraftKings, be sure to check out my strategy article coming out soon covering some basic strategy for cash games and GPP formats.     Joe Gibbs Racing & Furniture Row Racing   Dear @FRRacingTeam, Like any step brother, u can be annoying at times: taking our toys, upstaging us, & acting like some kind of tough guy. But in the end, no matter how often we wonder why our parents got together, we’re truly happy for your success & friendship. Congrats! pic.twitter.com/TV8DCpyYtg — Joe Gibbs Racing 🚗🏁 (@JoeGibbsRacing) November 20, 2017   It was a heck of a year for the Toyota "Super Group" in 2017. Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch both made the Final Four in the Monster Energy Cup Series Playoffs with Truex taking home his first Championship with Busch coming in second. Between the two drivers, they picked up 13 wins(36% of the 36 races) and when looking at fantasy dominators, were #1 and #2 on the season as Truex led 2,253 laps and Busch with 2,023. They were two of just three drivers(Kyle Larson - 1,352) to lead over 1,00 laps last season and if you weren't using one of these drivers in lineups week in and week out, you were probably not profitable on a consistent basis. Let's now jump in and take a look at each driver on these teams and break down their success on each track type last season and their outlooks for 2018. 2018 Drivers   Kyle Busch #18 Busch led the way for JGR in 2017 with five wins(Pocono, Bristol, New Hampshire, Dover, Martinsville) and eight poles. He made it all the way to the final four in the first year of the...

Ford EcoBoost 400 Homestead-Miami Speedway Track - 1.5 Mile Oval It's finally here! The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will crown a champion this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway following the Ford EcoBoost 400. It feels like we were counting down the days to the Daytona 500 just yesterday even though 35 races and nine months have passed. Brad Keselowski punched the final ticket into the final four this weekend via points last week as Matt Kenseth ended up winning the race denying Chase Elliott his shot at his first win and championship. That makes a final four made up of Martin Truex Jr(7), Kyle Busch(5), Kevin Harvick(2), and Brad Keselowski(3) who have 17 wins between them. Busch(2015), Harvick(2014), and Keselowski(2012) also have one championship while Truex will be seeking his first and is easily the favorite after his incredible season. Also noteworthy, is that since the start of the elimination race format the eventual champion has also won the final race at Homestead despite only having to finish better than the other three drivers. Get ready for an exciting final race NASCAR fans! Let's now take a look at some of the trends and pre-qualifying picks. To get even more trends and race stats be sure to grab a copy of my DFS NASCAR Cheatsheet. Good luck everyone! Last Six Winners at Homestead 2016 - Jimmie Johnson(started 14th, led 3 laps) 2015 - Kyle Busch(started 3rd, led 41 laps) 2014 - Kevin Harvick(started 5th, led 54 laps) 2013 - Denny Hamlin(started 5th, led 72 laps) 2012 - Jeff Gordon(started 15th, led 14 laps) 2011 - Tony Stewart(started 15, led 65 laps) Top 5 Current & Career Track History at Homestead It was Jimmie Johnson coming away with the win last year to pick up his seventh career NASCAR Championship but oddly enough, it has not been his best track over his career. The 13.25 career average finish might have something to do with the fact in old formats he had some big leads with no need to push it but rather play it safe. He didn't make the...
