A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Arizona Diamondbacks vs.Christian Friedrich (SD) The Arizona Diamondbacks will be going up against Christian Friedrich, who has allowed 14 ER in his last three outings (not a typo). He's been bad as of late and going from Petco Park to Chase Field is trouble awaiting to happen. Yes he has an ERA under four, but when you look at his peripherals: 4.77 xFIP and 7.1 K-BB%, that ERA is going to take a good hit. The Dbacks are in the middle of the pack when it comes to facing right-handed hitters. They might not be the best team offensively, but they have quite a few things in their favor: 1. Park. Chase Field is one of the friendliest parks to hitters. 2. This game has a 9.5 run total. This is like a game at Coors (run total is high) , so getting exposure to the Dbacks is a great option for tournaments. 3. Christian Friedrich owns a 5.02 ERA in his last five starts. I know the Dbacks were kind of a disappointment last night, but in DFS, you need...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Diamondbacks vs.Luis Perdomo (SD) Luis Perdomo has had it rough in the early going of his big league career. He is coming into this contest sporting a 8.49 ERA that is backed up by a 5.46 FIP. Guess you could say his ERA will eventually drop, but a FIP over 5 suggests that he's been bad. His ERA and FIP aren't the only reasons why I will be stacking the Diamondbacks today. Another reason is the park. Perdomo will be moving from spacious Petco Park into hitter-friendly Chase Field, which is never a good thing. The Diamondbacks own a .426 SLG (9th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers, so look for them to do some damage against the young right-hander. Houston Astros vs. Wade Miley(SEA) The Astros four big bats (Evan Gattis, Jose Altuve, George Springer and Carlos Correa do some serious damage against southpaws, so getting some exposure to these guys is one route to take. They will be going up against Wade Miley, who has not had things go his way this season. He is coming into this contest sporting...

Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers for FanDuel & DraftKings 7/4/16

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Archie Bradley and Kyle Hendricks in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Danny Salazar FD 10600 DK 11200 Opponent - DET (Norris) Park - @CLEFD - 34.62 DK - 23.03 Looking for some upside? Then look no further -- Danny Salazar is your guy! Salazar has been great this season for the Tribe. He is coming into this contest sporting a 2.22 ERA that is backed up by a 3.13 FIP. I know he isn't talked about much around the league, but this kid is good. His ERA and FIP are very attractive, but what sticks out to me is his K%. He owns a 28.5 K%, so we all know what that means -- UPSIDE! It's never easy to go against the Tigers, but I love the matchup for Salazar. Yes, the Tigers are one of the best teams in the league against right-handed pitchers (9th in MLB in wOBA), but they also strikeout a ton. They own a 22.4 K% (9th in MLB), which is why I love Salazar. Sure this matchup has some risk, but he has the highest ceiling on the night and he's been one of the most dominant pitchers in the game today. Carlos Martinez FD 8900 DK 8900 Opponent - PIT (Niese) Park - @STLFD - 34.8 DK - 22.75 Carlos Martinez against the Pirates? That doesn't sound too appealing when you first hear it, but there is a lot to like when you dig deeper. First and foremost, you have to love his price tag. 8K...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Zack Greinke and Ubaldo Jimenez in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Jose Quintana FD 8800 DK 10400 Opponent - MIN (Gibson) Park - @CHWFD - 34.25 DK - 22.46 By now you all know how much I love Jose Quintana, but this isn't exactly a favorites pick. He has a gorgeous price tag ($8,800 on Fanduel) and has a beautiful matchup against the Twins. On the year, the Twins have struggled against southpaws. They are coming into this contest with a .306 wOBA (25th in MLB) to go along with a 24.5 K% (3rd in MLB). The upside is through the roof for Quintana and being heavy favorites will help him out even more. So do yourself a favor and pickup the GOAT and his 2.95 FIP on your DFS squads. Corey Kluber FD 10800 DK 13400 Opponent - ATL (Wisler) Park - @ATLFD - 38.14 DK - 25.19 Corey Kluber is next on my list. He's a little pricy to say the least, but there are so many options when it comes to bats, that I don't mind paying his price tag. We all know the drill. The Braves are awful offensively and playing at spacious Tuner Field won't help them out, but the problem with going against them is that they don't strikeout a whole lot. They own a K% under 20%, which will hurt any pitcher, even Kluber that owns a 25.1 K%. He should be able to deliver a quality start and with is team being heavy favorites increase...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Orioles vs.Erik Johnson (SD) Instead of boring you with Coors talk, I'm going to give you three other GPP options on tonight's slate. And the first team on the list are the Orioles. I'm going to start off by saying that Erik Johnson has had it real rough so far this season. He is coming into this contest with a FIP and ERA over 8 (not a typo) and a hard contact rate all the way at 42.0%. He is getting hit hard, so there is no better team to stack against him than the Orioles. The Orioles own a .350 wOBA (2nd in MLB) and .203 ISO (1st in MLB) against right-handed pitching. I see Johnson having a rough outing once again, so do yourself a favor and load up on those Baltimore bats! Marlins vs. Mike Pelfrey(DET) There are many other stacking options besides Coors and the Marlins are second on my list. They will be going up against Mike Pelfrey, who is another pitcher who has struggled this season. He is coming into this contest sporting a 4.91...
