Guards Luka Doncic FD - $12200 DK - $12800 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 62.51 DK - 66.5 When we pay right up for these superstars, we are looking more for the raw points than the PTS/$ value but what's great about Luka is that he gives us both. It didn't take long for his price to hit the $12K range this season and that is right where it has sat for months which is crazy considering he is averaging 73.6 DraftKings points over his last nine games and 65.9 over the last 20. I see no reason he doesn't get there tonight in a pace-up game vs a fast Lakers team(2nd in pace) that ranks 21st in defensive efficiency and 24th in fantasy points to guards. Doncic is once again a building block for me in all formats. Gary Trent Jr. FD - $7200 DK - $6200 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 33.21 DK - 34.91 The mid-range when looking at guards is somewhat lacking tonight, which makes Gary Trent stand out, at least on DraftKings where the price is slow to catch up to the consistent form lately. He is a shooting-dependant guard but has been getting consistent usage with 13 or more shots in seven straight games and he has also been shooting about 3-4% better than his season averages which has resulted in 30 or more DraftKings points in each of those games. In a plus matchup against the Hornets that rank 25th in defence and 18th in fantasy points to guards, I am on board with Trent in all formats on DraftKings tonight. Gabe Vincent FD - $4100 DK - $4000 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 24.16 DK - 26.8 This is a very interesting game in that the Heat draw a terrible matchup against the Bucks 3rd ranked defence but have already ruled out multiple players leading to a ton of much-needed value, especially if playing Luka. Vincent got the start last game with both Lowry and Herro out and despite only shooting 25% from the field, still hit over 7x at his punt pricing. That price has gone up but a similar performance would still get him over 5x value which is a great floor and starting point tonight. I will have exposure in all formats. Small Forward...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10300 DK - $10400Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 58.33 DK - 62.48 Joel Embiid is questionable for this game which means the big guy could be back after being on the shelf with foot soreness. But even if that was the case, I still think this is a fine spot to roster Harden. Detroit is the second-worst defense in the league this season and they run an above-average pace. The efficiency hasn’t been all the way there for Harden with Embiid out of the lineup, shooting just 39% from the field over his last four games, but the usage is solid and even if Embiid is back I don’t think the latter runs a ton of minutes. From a floor perspective, at these prices, Harden still makes for a good cash game option at these prices. Tyler Herro FD - $7800 DK - $8400Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 39.24 DK - 43.19 Kyle Lowry has already been ruled out of this game which means it’s likely that Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler take over ball-handling duties even more in this offense. With Lowry off the court this season, Herro sees a moderate usage bump, up to 27.4%, the highest on the team. And the assist percentage climbs as well. He’s a solid deal on FanDuel especially if the minutes are going to tick up and he’s facing off against a Thunder team running the second-fastest pace in the league. Plus, there’s a chance Bam Adebayo misses this game too. Keep an eye on this situation. Killian Hayes FD - $7100 DK - $5700Opponent - PHIProj Pts FD - 30.62 DK - 32.92 The Pistons are going to be without Bojan Bogdanovic in this game and of course, are already missing Cade Cunningham for the rest of the season, though the latter has been the case for some time now. Hayes is coming off being a chalk play last time out and he more than paid off, taking 17 shots in his 34 minutes and finishing with 26 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Even as...

The Course Waialae Country Club Par 70 - 7,044 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole-by-hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2022 - Hideki Matsuyama(-23) 2021 - Kevin Na(-21) 2020 - Cameron Smith(-11) 2019 - Matt Kuchar(-22) 2018 - Patton Kizzire(-17) Welcome back golf fans. This week the PGA Tour stays in Hawaii and heads from the Plantation Course at Kapalua over to Waialae Country Club in Honolulu for the 2023 Sony Open. The quality of the field drops significantly from last week but still includes seven of the Top 25 players in the world including defending champion Hideki Matsuyama. While the views are similar, the course is much different from last week's wide-open fairways and large greens. Waialae CC is a much smaller Par 70 setup that is 7,044 yards on the scorecard. Wide open is also not on the menu this week as the course is much more of a positional course, especially off the tee. This has accuracy much higher in my off-the-tee model than distance. Strokes Gained: Approach and Par 4 Scoring are going to be 1A/1B in my stats model this week. On the approach side, I will look at mid-iron Proximity ranges(125-150, 150-175) and with the need for accuracy, I will also look at Fairway Proximity. With the field accuracy below average at this event and word the rough has been grown out to around 3" the average GIR should remain low which is also going put more emphasis on Strokes Gained: Around the Green and as always, a hot putter can help solve deficiencies in any of those areas. Hideki is a great example as he ranked 26th in SG: Approach last year but gained a whopping 7.3 strokes putting to lead the field in that area. Outside of the very windy 2020 Sony Open,...

Guards De'Aaron Fox FD - $8900 DK - $8700 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 42.51 DK - 43.53 This slate is a bit on the light side when looking at elite guards, especially with Ja Morant questionable. This leads us to a more balanced build at the position and it starts with Fox who has emerged from his slump in a big way. Over the last 12 games dating back to mid-December, Fox has averaged 27.7 points and 6.9 rebounds for nearly 45 fantasy points a game. Volume and usage is not an issue either as he comes into tonight having taken 20 or more shots in three straight and five of his last six games. At sub $9K prices on both sites in a plus matchup against the Magic, Fox is my top guard and in play in all formats. Dennis Schröder FD - $5800 DK - $5700 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 26.6 DK - 29.26 The Lakers are playing a bit short-handed right now with both Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker out for a couple of weeks and Anthony Davis still out. This has obviously led to some monster usage from LeBron but he hasn't been the only one benefiting as Schroder has seen a big increase in playing time and usage playing 32+ minutes and taking double-digit shots in six straight games while shooting over 50% from the field. He is very shooting dependant but in a game with a total approaching 240 against the Nuggets 24th ranked defense, I am on board in all formats. Tyus Jones FD - $5200 DK - $4900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 35.25 DK - 37.85 This is a situation we will have to monitor leading up to lock as Ja Morant missed Sunday's game with a thigh injury and is questionable on Monday along with Demond Bane. As of writing this, I am going to assume the Griz aren't going to push their superstar in a game where they are 11-point favorites. That brings us to Tyus Jones who could be one of the top overall value plays on the slate once again. He got the start last night playing 34 minutes and while he took the 4th most shots, he was efficient making 7 of 15 for 21 points while adding six...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 1/8
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/8/23 The scoring in the NBA right now is nuts. Many skeptics would argue that it's a lack of defense, but that's a lazy response. It's all about the offenses because these players are unstoppable in today's NBA. It's led to more 40-point games than ever in the history of the sport, and the big stat lines will continue to flow in. We're projecting another one here from the hottest player in the NBA, so let's start there! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $12500 DK - $12900 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 65.15 DK - 68.02 This Doncic pricing is insane, but the Slovenian is worth it every single night. This guy is posting some of the most absurd stats in NBA history, leading the league with 64 DraftKings points per game. That's no surprise since he's flirting with a league-leading 40 percent usage rate, doing everything for this Dallas offense. His most recent form is truly ridiculous, averaging 41.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.9 steals over his last seven games. The only concern is that this is the second half of a back-to-back set. If Doncic does end up sitting, Spencer Dinwiddie and Christian Wood would be the best plays on the board. We say that because Oklahoma City ranks 25th in total defense. D'Angelo Russell FD - $7000 DK - $7300 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 33.38 DK - 34.34 Russell has remained around this $7K price tag, and it's hard to understand why. The former All-Star is amid one of the best stretches of his career right now, seeing a massive boost in usage and shot attempts in the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns. That's led to Russell scoring at least 33 DraftKings points in 17 of his last 20 games. He's also averaging over 35 fantasy points per game in that span, scoring over 40 DK points in half of those games. A matchup with the Rockets is the best part of this, with Houston surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing point guards. In their four matchups since the start of last season, D-Lo is averaging 41 DraftKings points per game. De'Anthony...
