Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Anthony Edwards FD - $9400 DK - $9100Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 49.09 DK - 52.35 Mike Conley FD - $5800 DK - $5700Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 32.96 DK - 35.74 The Timberwolves find themselves in the best fantasy situation going on Friday, facing up against the Charlotte Hornets who rank 24th in defensive efficiency and second in pace. That’s the DFS sweet spot and stacking Minnesota in cash games should have a high floor. Anthony Edwards leads the charge here, playing the most minutes on the team and carrying in incredibly high usage, especially after the trade of D’Angelo Russell at the deadline. Edwards has averaged 23.5 shots per game over the last four putting up 30+ in three of those games. It’s just too good a spot for him here and the opportunity shift means the price is still just a tad too low. And then there is Mike Conley. Bad news first: last game Conley played 33 minutes and scored exactly zero points. That won’t make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, but here we are. The good news is that he played a bunch of minutes and that should continue to be the case here. I think stacking this game as much as possible is the play and I’m willing to live with some of the downside risk Conley presents with his overall game. Jrue Holiday FD - $8000 DK - $8900Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 42.24 DK - 46.26 The Bucks are going to be without Giannis Antetokounmpo because of a wrist issue and that tends to open up opportunities nearly across the board for this team. It’s not an amazing matchup against the Heat, but a guy like Jrue Holiday is still firmly in as a play, especially on FanDuel where the price is a bit too low. Seeing as how Khris Middleton is still coming off the bench with a minutes-management piece, Holiday should take over the offense here. With Giannis off the court this season, Holiday has a 33% usage rate, the highest on the team (Giannis is 40% for the...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10200 DK - $10500Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 54.04 DK - 55.27 The Thunder and Jazz play in the game with the highest total on the slate and we are going to want exposure to both sides of this thing. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander makes for one of the best pay-up options on Thursday, coming in with the prospect of a high minutes expectation and likely significant usage. The Jazz play the fourth-worst defense and run a top-10 pace and SGA has been good for about 19+ shots a game over the last couple of months. He doesn’t take many threes but he seems to get literally whatever he wants near the basket and gets to the foul line a ton too. He could be a popular play here considering the baseline and the matchup. Damian Lillard FD - $10500 DK - $11400Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 53.72 DK - 59.03 Lillard is another interesting case here considering the state of the Blazers. Anfernee Simons is going to miss some time here. Dame put up 30 shots in his final game before the All-Star break and he’s scored 33+ in four of his last five games. Rest assured, he’s going to put up a ton of shots in the short-term and gets a great matchup against the Kings and their top-10 pace with bottom-third defense. Jordan Clarkson FD - $6400 DK - $7500Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 35.18 DK - 39.47 The Jazz traded away Mike Conley and now are going to be without Collin Sexton for this game against the Thunder. That should line up well for Jordan Clarkson in the usage department with 20+ shots and minutes in the mid-30s most-definitely on the table. Clarkson has scored 20+ points in five of the last six games and done just enough in the rebounding and assist categories to keep the floor on the higher side. With the Jazz roster issues, I think he’s a popular play on this slate. Markelle Fultz FD - $6500 DK - $6000Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 37.08 DK - 38.57 Fultz has come on very...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Thursday 2/16

Guards Jrue Holiday FD - $8000 DK - $7500 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 37.48 DK - 41.19 The system has been loving Jrue Holiday over the last week and to be honest, it hasn't been wrong. Holiday has been playing great in the short-term averaging 24.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.0 assists over the past four games while providing us 37 or more DraftKings points in each of those games and showing monster upside last game with 64 fantasy points. The Bulls are not the greatest of matchups(7th in def eff) but are playing on a back-to-back and it helps that Jrue gets all the minutes he can handle and despite playing well has not seen his price go up much at all. He is in play in all formats. Mike Conley FD - $6200 DK - $5200 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 27.83 DK - 30.77 Bradley Beal FD - $9300 DK - $7700 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 35.74 DK - 38.49 There is a lot to like about this game from a fantasy perspective as it has the highest total(234.5) on the slate and features the only two teams ranked outside the Top 10 in defensive efficiency. Let's start with some exposure to the guards and we can attack both sides here starting with Mike Conley who was a new addition to the T-Wolves at the trade deadline. He was eased into his first start playing just 26 minutes but was unleashed last game against the Mavs and looked good providing just over 31 fantasy points. At his current price, we are looking for a 28-point floor and he has tallied that in 11 straight games. On the other side of the ball, Bradley Beal is coming off a poor fantasy effort but we cannot ignore the price differential as FanDuel has him over $9K while DraftKings has dropped the price back down into the $7K. That is where I am comfortable playing Beal now that he is no longer the 30-points-per-game player he was a few years back. Before that disappointing effort last game, he was on fire tallying 40+ fantasy points five straight and more good news as he is getting the volume again. Both guards are in play in all formats. Also Consider: Terance Mann(LAC) as a value...

Daily Fantasy DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Wednesday, February 15, 2023

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/15/23 Coming up on the All-Star break, this used to be the halfway point, but we're nearly three-quarters of the way through the year. That means the All-Star break is a week to prepare for the final stretch run because anything can happen over the closing two months. It'll be really fun to see how Kevin Durant looks in a Phoenix uniform, and it feels like there are 10 teams in the running for a title. That's all we can hope for as NBA fans, and it'll be fun to see how everything plays out! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9900 DK - $10400 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 51.35 DK - 51.27 Ball's season was derailed by injuries early in the year, but this stud point guard is rolling right now. LaMelo has scored at least 52 DraftKings points in five of his last six games, flirting with triple-double averages in that span. That's the stud we've been waiting to see, and Charlotte clearly wants him to be the showman for their offense. That's sensational in a matchup with the Spurs, who sit dead-last in points allowed and defensive efficiency while surrendering the most fantasy points in the NBA. They're simply the best matchup in DFS right now, with many of their stud opponents dropping 50-plus fantasy points on them on a nightly basis. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $5600 DK - $6000 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 33.03 DK - 32.86 Injuries have obliterated this Boston roster. They're expected to be without Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart in this game and could be missing Robert Williams and Derrick White as well. Williams played just 12 minutes in the front end of a B2B while White stayed in Milwaukee to examine his ear. If all of those guys are out, Brogdon should start and do everything for this offense. That's scary because Brogdon is averaging 27 DraftKings points per game in a limited bench role. If he gets the 35 minutes, 15-20 shots, and 30 percent usage rate we expect, this efficiency monster should be an $8K player. The matchup with Detroit is the icing on...

It was another wild week at the WM Phoenix Open and the elevated event definitely did not disappoint as the leaderboard was stacked all weekend. It was Scottie Scheffler, who was one of three players to shoot in the 60's in all four rounds, taking home the trophy and also taking back #1 in the World. This week the Tour heads back to California to close out the West Coast swing with the Genesis Invitational and like last week, this is another "elevated event" with a huge 20 million dollar purse. That was the story of the week up until Friday afternoon when Tiger Woods Tweeted out he would be playing in the Genesis Invitational. He joins an already elite field that includes nine of the Top 10(no Cam Smith for LIV reasons) and 39 of the Top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. After a tough week at TPC Scottsdale, things don't get any easier for the players as they will take on Riviera Country Club this week. Despite Joaquin Niemann posting the lowest winning score(-19) since it was the Northern Trust Open back in 1985, this course plays as one of the toughest non-major stops year in and year out(16th, 11th, 9th, 7th, 6th hardest last 5 years). Things get tough right off the tee as players see some of the narrowest fairways on tour which leads to low driving accuracy numbers. This, once again, has me high on Good Drive % which looks at a combination of driving accuracy + GIR % when missing the fairway. Looking at the correlated Strokes Gained stats this week, Ball Striking is once again important but unlike last week when Off the Tee and Approach were very even, it is Strokes Gained: Approach well ahead in terms of importance when looking at past results. Breaking that...
