A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) Chicago Cubs vs. Adam Morgan (PHI) Adam Morgan has just been awful for the Phillies this year. He is entering today's contest sporting a 7.97 ERA that is backed up by a 5.34 FIP, o don't worry so much about the Cubs' price tag (they are definitely worth the investment) . Hitters also have a 36.7% hard contact rate against Morgan, so look for the Cubbies to hit him, and hit him hard! On the year, the Cubs sport a .347 wOBA (4th in MLB), 117 wRC+ (4th in MLB) and .168 ISO (8th in MLB) against left-handed pitchers. They have been one of the best offenses in baseball and can put up runs in bunches, so they are always a great team to stack and today is no different. Some of the guys to stack against Morgan are: Dexter Fowler (.354 wOBA), Ben Zobrist (.440 wOBA), Kris Bryant (.288 ISO) and Javier Baez (.502 wOBA). Of course, you can go with Anthony Rizzo, Jason...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Toronto Blue Jays vs. Eduardo Rodriguez So, Eduardo Rodriguez is probably a cut above the average random young pitcher. He's a solid prospect out of the Red Sox system that probably has a long term future in the rotation. But... he's also a 23 year old with a K/9 worse than 6 in the minors this year. You can obviously play any of the middle of the line-up right handed bruisers - Bautista, Encarnacion, or Donaldson, depending on who's playing - but you could certainly consider splashing Devon Travis and even the left handed Michael Saunders, who's been platoon neutral this season and has only been a little worse against lefties for his career. You can also consider sending this stack the other way if you have tons of cash to burn, but the Red Sox are so expensive that I see more value on the Blue Jays side. The Washington Nationals vs. Jon Moscot I had a few nice things to say about the young Eduardo Rodriguez, but unfortunately, not even Jon Moscot's mother can find anything nice to say about his short major league track record. The 28...

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Jose Fernandez, Gerrit Cole and Aaron Nola in the Main Article. We will be going over a few more options below. Scott Kazmir FD 9100 DK 10700 Opponent - ATL (Wisler) Park - @LADFD - 37.24 DK - 20.7 Kazmir has put up 19 Ks against 3 walks in his last two starts, and one of those was against the other-worldly Cubs. The Cubs have the league's 2nd highest wOBA, and the Braves have the very worst in the league. They're miraculously even worse than their .278 average wOBA when facing lefties, posting an historically bad .254 figure. They've struck out at the ninth highest rate in the majors vs. southpaws as well. Yes, it was a rocky start to the season for Kazmir, but after 3 great starts in his last 4, I'm certainly prepared to deploy him against the league's worst offense. Justin Verlander FD 9000 DK 11700 Opponent - CHW (Quintana) Park - @DETFD - 33.83 DK - 18 Man is there a lot to like about grabbing Verlander on the relatively cheap on FanDuel today. Many still remember the Verlander who took two years off from striking people out and dismiss Verlander out of hand, but if you're looking for upside, he's certainly interesting. Look past the 4.11 ERA this season - the 3.54 FIP probably paints a little clearer picture of his baseline talent at the moment. Verlander has all the qualities you'd like in a high upside pitcher. He strikes out better than a guy per inning, and when things...

Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) Chicago Cubs vs. Edwin Escobar (CIN) Edwin Escobar has only had one start this season, so I won't judge him based on that start. Even though he gave up 10 hits and 7 earned run, in 3 1/3 innings of work, I won't stack against him because of that (hard to ignore, but way too small of a sample size). Instead, I am stacking against him because he is facing the Chicago Cubs and they devour southpaws. On the year, the Cubs sport a .347 wOBA (4th in MLB), 117 wRC+ (4th in MLB) and .168 ISO (8th in MLB) against left-handed pitchers. Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Clayton Kershaw, Jason Hammel and Junior Guerra in the Main Article. And will be going over a few more options below. Early Slate Jeremy Hellickson FD 7300 DK 9300 Opponent - MIL (Guerra) Park - @PHIFD - 31.89 DK - 16.9 Hellickson has just been outstanding for the Phils this season, and he has been one of the most under-appreciated pitchers this season, so I will go ahead and give him so love. Hellickson is coming into this contest sporting a 3.68 ERA that is backed up by a 3.38 xFIP. Not sure how good a 3.38 xFIP really is? Let’s just say he’s in-front of Madison Bumgarner, Jose Quintana, Chris Sale and John Lackey in that department. I know he plays for the Phills’ and a 4-3 record isn’t all that impressive, but this kid has been good! Now let’s talk about his matchup. He will be going up against the Brewers who have had their struggles so far this season. They are coming into this contest sporting a 26.9 K% (first in MLB)...
