I believe that's the largest slate we've had on a Thursday since the opening week, and it's the perfect amount of games. What does need to be monitored is the weather, though. We've had numerous postponements throughout the week, and Mother Nature is doing her best to ruin our DFS fun. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the best pitcher on the board. Pitchers Yu Darvish FD - P 11500 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - NYM (Taijuan Walker) Park - SD FD - 44.33 DK - 24.85 If you haven't watched much Yu, be sure to check him out. This guy is one of the most exciting pitchers in the Majors, throwing out numerous pitches at all sorts of weird velocities. That has jelly-legged numerous hitters throughout Darvish's career, and he looks as sharp as ever right now. Since the beginning of last season, Yu has a 2.08 ERA and 0.95 WHIP while striking out 172 batters across 142.2 innings. Those are obviously some of the best numbers in the league, with Darvish scoring at least 35 FanDuel points in eight of his 11 starts this year. We absolutely love that in a matchup like this, with the Mets ranked 25th in OPS and dead-last in runs scored. Tyler Anderson FD - P 7200 DK - SP 8200 Opponent - MIA (Cody Poteet) Park - PIT FD - 31.78 DK - 15.58 I watched many Tyler Anderson starts in his Rockies days, and I always thought he was better than his numbers said. He's shown that for most of this season, collecting at least 21 FanDuel points in all but one start this year. That was a disastrous nine-run outing, and it's quite amazing to see that TA has a 3.51 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in the other nine starts. A lot of that has to do with his home ballpark, with PNC being one of the most pitcher-friendly venues in baseball. We're certainly not worried about him facing Miami either, with the Marlins ranked 25th in OBP, 27th in runs scored, and dead-last in xwOBA. Catcher/First Base Miguel Sanó FD - 1B 2600 DK - 1B/3B 4000 Opponent - KC (Kris Bubic) Park - KC FD - 11.14 DK - 8.23 If you've been reading these articles, you know just how much I love...

You heard that correctly: none of the available point guards are projected for 5x+ points per dollar. Let's break down your options with their various strengths and weaknesses. Damian Lillard: Put up a performance like nobody has ever seen in game 5, shooting an unfathomable 17/24 en route to 55 points in the double overtime affair. But he's $11k, and he averaged just 4x points per dollar on these prices in the regular season. Math suggests he won't replicate his career performance, and any regression at all makes him a non-starter. Chris Paul: No way. Not if he can still play just 25 minutes. If he sits for some reason you can consider Cameron Payne, but Payne is unplayable if Paul is starting. Dennis Schroder: Totally playable on tonight's unfortunate slate of point guards, but you can't be psyched about the game 5 no-show (0-9 from the field!). Still, you have to roster someone at point guard, and we can at least be pretty confident Schroder will have the ball in his hands. If Davis sits, Schroder becomes a lot more appealing. You can honestly consider Alex Caruso if you feel better about punting away point guard. The Nuggets: Campazzo got run off the floor in game 5, yielding to Monte Morris. Morris was quite good, but let's remember that he had 41 minutes to provide his fantasy numbers. If Morris gets the start he's an auto-play for DFS purposes. Coming off the bench, he brings a fair bit of risk. Given that every point guard carries risk, playing Morris might be worth it. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $8400 DK - $8200 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 47.27 DK - 49.37 With CP3 hobbled, Booker is running the offense a lot more than he was during the regular season, and he's certainly been up to the task. He put up a fantastic 30/7/5 line in the game 5 blowout, and you get the feeling that there was room for more if the Lakers managed to keep it close. The Lakers just don't have a defensive answer for...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday 6/2/21

Pitchers Walker Buehler FD - P 9700 DK - SP 10600 Opponent - STL (Carlos Martinez) Park - LAD FD - 41.9 DK - 23.28 First of all, can we discuss how DraftKings seems to have a thing with Marlins pitching as Pablo Lopez is just $600 cheaper than Walker Buehler yet one is a -220 favorite and the other is a +132 dog. It makes no sense at all and the decision to go with Buehler as top pitcher very easy. While the lack of strikeouts recently is a bit of a concern, it is washed away with the fact he has been fairly dominant holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in three straight and four of his last five starts. He also goes deep into games consistently(6+ IP in all 10 starts) and while the matchup isn't elite, the Cards are just a league-average offense through two months. Fire up Buehler in all formats tonight. Sean Manaea FD - P 8500 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - SEA (Chris Flexen) Park - SEA FD - 32.95 DK - 17.05 The price on Manaea has hit a season-high but is mostly relative to the smaller slate and lack of top pitching so I am not at all concerned. Helping my feeling of safety with this pick is the fact Manaea has been very consistent all year holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in seven of 11 starts and enters the night with a 3.86 ERA/3.60 xFIP. The matchup is what ties it all together as the Mariners are a bottom-third offense(.285 wOBA/86 wRC+) and strike out 27% of the time vs. left-handed pitching. All things considered, Manaea is my top SP2 on Draftkings and can be considered in all formats on FanDuel should you need that extra $1000. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3300 DK - 1B 4700 Opponent - SEA (Chris Flexen) Park - SEA FD - 11.27 DK - 8.35 First of all, if you can find enough value elsewhere it is hard to ignore what Vladdy Jr. is doing right now. I might try and fit him into some GPP builds but for my cash games, I am normally going a little more balanced and at first base it starts with Matt Olson in the next tier down. What he lacks in consistency, in terms of average(.258), he more than makes...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 6/2/21 It's rare to get four-game slates at this point in the playoffs, but we get treated with one here. All of these games are absolutely critical, with Memphis, Washington, and New York fighting off elimination while Dallas and Los Angeles battle in a 2-2 series. That means everyone will be feeling it, and it should make for a wonderful night of basketball. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ben Simmons FD - $8500 DK - $8100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 44.6 DK - 44.29 Simmons has been the talk of NBA Twitter with his ineptitude at the free-throw line, but it's overshadowing what's been a pretty good series for the Aussie guard. In fact, the 24-year-old is averaging 13.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in this series. That's led to him scoring at least 35 fantasy points in all four games, generating a 43-point average. That's an amazing total from a guy barely cracking $8K, and we have to believe he's going to do even more with Joel Embiid off the floor. We love that with Washington ranked dead-last in total defense in the regular season while playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. Derrick Rose FD - $7100 DK - $7300 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 40.44 DK - 40.72 The former MVP looked lost when he played with the Cleveland Cavaliers four years ago but has completely revived his career in New York. The reunion with Tom Thibideau has done Rose wonders, playing at least 38 minutes in three of the four games in this series. That's not uncommon for a Thibs player, leading to a 38-point average in this first-round. That might look like a flukey stretch on the surface, but he's averaging 31 fantasy points per game across the last two months as well. The simple fact is, he's the primary guard in New York right now and should be looking at 40 minutes again here with New York's back against the wall. The matchup is great, too, with Atlanta ranked 21st in total defense in the regular season. Luka...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 6/1/21

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 6/1/21 The last few days of the NBA playoffs have been ugly in terms of blowouts, but this slate should be special. This is arguably the most important ledger of games we've had all year, with two of the three games featuring a 2-2 series. The winner of Game 5 in these circumstances wins the series 86 percent of the time in NBA history, so it's obviously critical for all the teams involved. That should force these starters to play huge minutes, and we should see some monster performances from the superstars in our sport! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy, and more. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9600 DK - $8800 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 52.71 DK - 53.93 If you don't think Irving is motivated in this series, you should check out the postgame video of him at TD Garden. The former Boston guard had tumultuous times with the Celtics, and it clearly has him more motivated than ever. He dropped 64 DraftKings points in his last game against them, which is scary when you see his 48-point average in his seven meetings with them this year. That's all you can hope for from a $9K player, and he has to show up after that stomping statement he made in Game 4. It's not like Boston is a tough matchup right now anyway, owning the second-worst defensive rating in this postseason. Monte Morris FD - $4700 DK - $4500 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 22.34 DK - 22.49 Morris might be the Nuggets best all-around guard right now, stepping up with Jamal Murray and Will Barton out of the picture. That has led to MM playing at least 25 minutes in three straight games, generating a 25-point average in that span. That might not sound like much, but it's a tremendous total from a guy sitting well below $5K. The fact that Denver struggled so badly in Game 4 might mean that Morris gets more minutes here too, which is stellar news since Portland posted the second-worst defensive rating in the regular season. There are many studs that you need to fit into your lineup, and there might be no better pairing out...
