FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/9/21 These NBA slates have been crazy. The COVID protocols have made things challenging over recent weeks, but it feels like that trend is finally starting to die down. What's not dying down are the injuries, though. We have several star players likely sitting here, which is a significant theme in this article. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's kick things off with two backup point guards stepping into starting roles. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Point Guard Anfernee Simons FD - $7500 DK - $6500 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 35.47 DK - 37.87 Simons has always been a talented player, and it's nice to finally see him getting a starting gig. It's taken a disastrous turn for Portland to put him in this situation, though, with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum both out for the foreseeable future. That's about 50 percent of the team's offense out the door, and Simons is happy to take on most of it. With those two guys off the floor, Anfernee has a 25 percent usage rate, posting some of the best lines of his career. In fact, ANT is averaging 46 DraftKings points per game across his last three outings. That makes him really attractive here, with Sacramento surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Tyus Jones FD - $4900 DK - $4200 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 30.69 DK - 30.73 It's sad that we're going to miss out on a Ja Morant game because that dude is the most exciting player in the NBA, but Jones isn't too bad himself. He's actually been excellent when starting for Morant, scoring at least 22 DraftKings points in 10 of his 12 starts this season, en route to a 29-point average. Those are absurd numbers from a sub-$5K player, especially since Jones has the best assist-to-turnover rate in the NBA as well. That ability becomes even more attractive in a matchup like this, with Los Angeles ranked second in pace and 24th in total defense. They also own a 30th OPRK against opposing point guards, making Jones all the more enticing. If Luka Doncic is out, don't forget about Jalen Brunson. ...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $8600 DK - $9500Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 43.17 DK - 46.93 This isn’t a great matchup against the Bucks, but the game as a high total (233) and a thin spread (CHA -0.5). LaMelo, on a per minute basis is one of the better fantasy options in the league. It’s just the minutes that are sometimes an issue with the Hornets seemingly unwilling to run him more than 33-34 minutes a game even when things are going well. That being said, the Bucks are without their best point of attack defender in Jrue Holiday and it’s easy to like the implied pace of this game. He’s struggled from the field of late, which has only brought the price down some. That’s good news for us consider we can take advantage of the value. Cade Cunningham FD - $6700 DK - $8300Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 37.16 DK - 40.7 The Pistons are pretty much a dumpster fire, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still extract some value from their lineup. Cade Cunningham is the obvious first choice and he’s still coming way too cheap on FanDuel specifically. He’s one of the few Detroit guys who actually is moderately safe with the minutes He leads the team in usage when he is on the court, and is taking about 15 shots per game, a number that’s steadily ticked up over the course of the season. He isn’t all that efficient yet, but does make up for it with volume and also by contributing in rebounds (six per game) and assists (5.4 per game). Orlando ranks 25th in defensive efficiency this season and Cade has a higher floor in this matchup. Notes on the other guys at these positions: As has been the case lately, it’s tough to make solid determinations about rotations this early in the day because Covid protocols and injuries have really thrown things into flux. With that in mind, let’s look at a couple of situations that will be key to determining cash game options later. Utah Jazz Basically, their entire starting lineup is questionable right now. Who plays will...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 10/3/21

Pitchers Hyun Jin Ryu FD 8000 DK 7700 Opponent - BAL (Bruce Zimmermann) Park - BALFD - 36.78 DK - 19.34 It’s a must-win day for four of the American League teams vying for the Wild Card and the Blue Jays are one of them. They come in as ridiculous -400 home favorites against the Orioles and Bruce Zimmermann, one of the biggest favorites you will ever see. We are going to have a bunch of them in the picks today. Ryu has had a fine enough season, with an xFIP under 4.00 and decent peripherals. He has some, but not much, K stuff and he isn’t a lights-out arm. It’s just tough to walk away from these win odds on Sunday. Tyler Anderson FD 8100 DK 8500 Opponent - LAA (Reid Detmers) Park - LAAFD - 36.85 DK - 18.36 Anderson is another one coming in a must-win situation for the Mariners and gets a very good matchup against the Angels. Los Angeles has about one bat in the lineup that scares you and there is a reason this game comes in with a low 7 over/under. Anderson is a -180 home favorite, though like Ryu isn’t one to dial up the strikeout stuff. He’s a flyable pitcher who needs to keep the ball in the park. The Angels are middle of the pack against lefties this season and Anderson is in a good spot. The upside just might be limited. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD 4000 DK 6200 Opponent - BAL (Bruce Zimmermann) Park - BALFD - 19.53 DK - 14.82 We are stacking Blue Jays bats almost for sure on this slate. With an implied run line pushing towards seven and a choice matchup in a must-win game, you have to like the top of this order. Guerrero would be all the MVP talk if it wasn’t for Ohtani and is capping off a season with a .992 OPS and 46 home runs. This is elite for any player and almost historic for a dude in his age-22 season. He’s one of the best hitters in the game and priced as such. But I want all of the Blue Jays on this slate. Carlos Santana FD 2600 DK 2700 Opponent - MIN (Charlie Barnes) Park - MINFD - 10.44 DK - 7.77 Santana had a rough year at the plate for sure, but it’s worth noting that...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 10/2/21 – Main Slate

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 10/2/21 - Main Slate Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Lucas Giolito FD 9900 DK 10300 Opponent - DET (Matt Manning) Park - DETFD - 40.98 DK - 22.32 We are rounding out the season here and there are teams like the White Sox who have definitely taken their foot off the gas. They have a playoff spot locked up and these games are more about prep than anything else. We saw that with Lance Lynn on Friday who went only 84 pitches in the win. That could, for sure, be the case with Giolito here. But he still comes in with the best win odds and is a -284 home favorite against the lowly Tigers. It is something to monitor, but Giolito has had a fantastic season and the K stuff should be there even if the innings are a bit lower. Chris Flexen FD 9100 DK 8900 Opponent - LAA (Jhonathan Diaz) Park - LAAFD - 33.21 DK - 17.68 The Mariners are technically (somehow) in the Wild Card hunt in the American League despite a -49 win differential on the season. But alas, luck plays a factor and here we are. Flexen is -177 home favorite and this game only has an eight over/under. He doesn’t have much in the way of K stuff this season, but the Angels stink and this is a must-win for the Angels. That isn’t the case for almost anyone else on the slate. I don’t want to run Corbin Burnes into the Dodgers’ lineup nor Julio Urias into the Brewers considering those two teams aren’t really pressing right now. Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD 3200 DK 4600 Opponent - OAK (Paul Blackburn) Park - OAKFD - 12.77 DK - 9.79 The Astros are another team with everything locked up here so who knows which way they go with their lineup. In an ideal world, Gurriel is hitting cleanup against Blackburn and is still coming at a lower price on FanDuel. He is going to finish the season with an OPS around .840 and has 14 home runs. The 2019 power doesn’t look like it’s coming back, but that’s the case for a lot of guys. He puts the ball in play nearly 80% of the time and makes for a high-floor cash play. Mitch Garver FD 3100 DK 4200 Opponent - KC (Kris Bubic) Park - KCFD - 11.61 DK - 8.68 Garver should be in the three...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 10/1/21

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers The decisions at starting pitcher are tough tonight as Kershaw is likely on a pitch count, the White Sox and Astros, with their divisions locked up, won't be pushing Lynn or Valdez and Sandy Alcantara tops the salary on DraftKings. There are a few spots that do stand out so let's get started. Ranger Suárez FD - P 9000 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - MIA FD - 30.04 DK - 15.32 The Phillies have been getting a glimpse into their future as Suarez has been making a strong case to open the 2022 season in the rotation. Since they fully stretched him out in late August, he has been spectacular holding opponents to just seven earned runs over seven starts while striking out 45(27%) and walking eight. Tonight, he and the Phillies are -120 favorites against a Marlins team that ranks in the bottom third offensively. At these prices, Suarez is my top pitcher in all formats. Steven Matz FD 8000 DK 8700 Opponent - BAL (Undecided) Park - BAL FD - 37.07 DK - 19.7 Continuing with the balanced approach, we have Steven Matz who won't be limited tonight as the Jays are in do or die mode in the final three days of the season. Matz has been a welcome addition to the rotation this season and has impressed with a 3.88 ERA/3.95 xFIP and has been terrific down the stretch allowing two or fewer earned runs in nine of his last 10 starts. He now faces a bottom-five offense in Baltimore to close out his season and hopefully help the Jays playoff push. I will have exposure in all formats and will be pairing him with Suarez in cash games. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD 3900 DK 5500 Opponent - NYM (Tylor Megill) Park - NYM FD - 13.54 DK - 10.13 There is some risk in rostering players from teams who have locked up their playoff spot but this is a great spot that I want to get exposure to on this slate. Freeman has been closing out the season strong hitting .320 with a .386 wOBA in the month of September and now gets a plus matchup against rookie Tylor Megill who has really struggled against left-handed bats(.413 wOBA against). The Braves are one of my top teams to target tonight and Freeman is my top overall play at...
