Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Divisional Round – Sunday
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Divisional Round - Sunday With the Eagles, Saints, Patriots, and Chargers playing we actually have some decent players to pick from. But do we have enough cheap value to wind up with lineups that don't include throwaway players that barely touch the ball? Ugh. Let's see what we can do. Looking for Saturday's article? Los Angeles Chargers (4) vs. New England Patriots (-4) As we get deeper into the playoffs we usually wind up with more good players, which is nice, but we also wind up with worse match-ups, which isn't as nice. The Pats and Chargers were both in the "sneaky good" defensive category this season. Neither of them is necessarily known for their defensive reputation, but each has things they do well. The Chargers were the 12th toughest team in the NFL against the run, and the 9th toughest against the pass. The Patriots allowed the 5th fewest yards per pass to opposing QBs this season, but were pretty bad against the run, allowing the 3rd highest yards per carry in the NFL. This is all relative on a two game slate, of course, but I wanted to get the context out of the way before we got into the specific picks. Melvin Gordon FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent NE Proj Points FD - 15.19 DK - 16.88 If New England was one of the most generous defenses to opposing running backs this season, we should probably think long and hard about running Gordon out there on a two game slate. The case against Gordon is a pretty good one, though. He was bottled up against the Ravens last week, turning his 18 touches into just 43 yards. He split time with Ekeler, and missed a few series with an injury. He's a 4 point dog, so there is some chance that the Chargers are playing from behind here. He also came up with a sore knee after last week, and has been missing practice this week. I still believe that all of that is just precautionary, though. Gordon punched in the Chargers' goal line carry last week, and the Chargers as a whole ran pretty bad in terms...

The Ravens got it done, containing the Chargers' high-flying offense to just 10 points. They managed to relegate Melvin Gordon to just 53 total yards on 15 touches. Yikes. The Ravens didn't fare a whole lot better from a fantasy perspective, scoring just 22 points. Lamar Jackson was not awful, and "Mark Andrews" had 83 yards and a touchdown on 2 targets, but there isn't a whole lot to look at here. Still, it's very tough to ignore a game altogether on a two game slate. Let's do our best, shall we? Melvin Gordon FD 8400 DK 7700 Opponent BAL Proj Points FD - 11.84 DK - 12.93 It's telling that Gordon is showing up in our optimal lineups even on such generally terrible projections. The reason is pretty simple: the other teams on the slate are Philly, Chicago, and Baltimore. None of those teams really boasts a fantasy relevant running back on a normal slate, and as bad as Gordon was in his previous meeting with Baltimore, he's many cuts above the other guys on this slate. There are obviously plenty of scenarios where Gordon just goes off here, too, as I believe we see the Chargers go all in on him here. In the middle of the season Gordon was touching the ball 24-26 times per game, and the combination of his ankle and the Chargers being pretty well situated in the playoff picture saw those touches decline toward the end of the season. Now that every game has the potential be the last one of the season, we'll see Gordon from beginning to end in this one. Keenan Allen FD 7700 DK 6900 Opponent BAL Proj Points FD - 12.99 DK - 15.95 Throwing to Keenan Allen was basically the only profitable play the Chargers could run against the Ravens in week 16, if only barely. He turned 8 targets into 5 catches and 58 yards, and while that's nothing to write home about, the Chargers clearly thought he was their best option...

Indianapolis Colts (2) vs. Houston Texans (-2) Key DFS plays Deshaun Watson FD 8400 DK 6700 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 20.73 DK - 21.15 Watson is the most expensive quarterback on the slate and for good reason. He finished the season as the fourth-highest fantasy scoring quarterback and the Texans come in with the most projected points (25) of the four-game slate. Watson was a competent passer this season (69% completion percentage) with over 4,000 yards despite playing much of the season with a WR group decimated by injuries (outside of Hopkins). His ability to run gives him the ideal cash game floor and he had the third-most quarterback rushing yards on the season (551). The debate will probably about which quarterback is *worth* paying up for on this slate between Watson and Luck. I'll take Watson for the aforementioned running threat and slight edge in team points. DeAndre Hopkins FD 8800 DK 8700 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 20.78 DK - 23.93 Hopkins is the clear big-money wide receiver to target on this slate and I suspect he’ll have overwhelming cash ownership. He’s had five-straight double-digit target games, capped by a 16 target Week 17 in which he finished with 12 catches for 147 yards against Jalen Ramsey and the Jaguars. He has 115 (2nd in the league) catches on the season without a single drop. He also finished with the second-most receiving yards (1572). No other receiver on this slate is even close to Hopkins in terms of fantasy floor. You have to pay top dollar on both sites, but it’s worth the salary cap hit. Lamar Miller FD 6400 DK 4900 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 12.61 DK - 13.38 After sitting out Week 16 with an injury, Miller was back to carrying the workload for the Texans in the final game of the season. He ran the ball 17 times for 56 yards against the Jaguars and saw a couple of targets in the passing game. He finished the season 15th in running back usage (17.5 touches per game) and finished with his best yards per attempt (4.6) since 2014 when he was with the Dolphins. The Colts were good...
