We've got you completely covered. Devonta Freeman FD 8500 DK 7400 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 16.05 DK - 17.05 He checks all of the running back boxes this week with a high implied total (28.5), big home favorite (-11.5) and projects to see a vast majority of the team’s carries. Freeman been steady (if unspectacular) to start the season though he’s quietly averaging more fantasy points per game (FanDuel scoring) than guys like Le’Veon Bell, Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott. Yup, I’m as surprised as you. This is thanks, in large part, to Atlanta’s commitment to him in the Red Zone. He’s scored 5 touchdowns (most in the league) while playing one less week than basically every other relevant running back. The Miami D’s been ok against the run this season (2nd in DVOA against the run) but again, this is such a good matchup in every other way. In his four games, Freeman has the best consistency rating among all top 10 RBs (.28 coefficient of variation) and it’s really only his salary giving me pause. Samaje Perine FD 4900 DK 4400 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 14.53 DK - 16.03 With early news reporting that Rob Kelley will sit out Week 6 we get a chance to pretty confidently target Perine in all formats. He’s exactly what we are looking for in a punt play coming at near minimum salaries across the industry. The Redskins, like the Falcons above, are huge home favorites (-10.5), projected for a ton of points (28) and facing a mediocre 49ers defense. Perine’s been handed the reins before with 40 carries between Weeks 3 and 4 when Kelley was banged up. Perine’s issue is he isn’t very good. He averaged only 2.9 yards per carry in those bell cow weeks against below average run defenses in the Raiders and Rams. The price dictates a play of course, and he should see the goal line work as opposed to pass-catching Chris Thompson....

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6 – 10/10/17
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6 - 10/10/17 After five weeks in the NFL it feels like nothing is safe. We've already seen season-ending injuries to guys like Beckham, Cook, Olsen, Watt and more. Good teams look bad. Bad teams look good. Players disappear from the team's game plan only to reemerge a week later. It's been a crazy season so far. But there's also plenty to feel confident about as well. Let's take a look at some of the cash game plays for Week 6. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our MLB Optimizer, and our new Player Lab! We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Alex Smith FD 7500 DK 6400 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 21.33 DK - 22.01 Your leading fantasy scoring quarterback through five weeks of the season? Alex Smith everyone! He’s been a revelation (I can’t believe I’m saying that) behind center and is completing an insane 77% of his passes (next closest with >100 PAs is Josh McCown *gulp* at 71%). Smith has three elite weapons at his disposal in Hunt, Kelce and Hill which goes a long way to keeping opposing defenses honest. And the results have more than been there. The Chiefs lead the league in points scored and this week take on a reeling Pittsburgh team at home. The game doesn’t project as a blowout (KC -4, 25 implied points) and the Steelers’ pace this season suggests KC will have the ball plenty. Smith’s also done some work on the ground his mobility does help his cash game floor. He’s a notch below the upper tier of pricing allowing for plenty of wiggle room elsewhere in your lineup and I suspect he’s a popular play this week. Deshaun Watson FD 7900 DK 6700 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 19.96 DK - 21.29 Smith may lead the league in quarterback fantasy points but one could make the strong case that had Watson opened the year as the starter the latter would be the runaway leader in the clubhouse. His last three weeks have been amazing, averaging 281 yards a game through the air, and throwing for a total of 11 TDs. Houston’s found their QB and the only mistake they’ve made was not unleashing him sooner. The emergence of Watson has also helped the HOU run game as well, leading to a more balanced Texans’ attack....
DFS NFL Talk Week 6 – Look Back at Week 5 and Ahead to Week 6 – 10/10/17
DFS NFL Talk Week 6 - Look Back at Week 5 and Ahead to Week 6 - 10/10/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Tuesday podcast breaking a weird Sunday in the NFL. They take a look at what some of these variable performances mean when projecting out certain opportunity for the rest of the season. They discuss how there exists a group of players who see elite touches on a given week, but there’s a steep drop-off in expectation after them. They also discuss Doug’s rough week with lineups despite being encouraged by the overall projection system and opportunities on players. Then they finish off with a discussion on the tight end position and whether the volatility there means just paying premiums on guys like Ertz and Kielce. All of this and more on a Week 5 recap for FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 – 10/8/17
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 - 10/8/17 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football. It was a tough week for me as a Minnesota Vikings fan as Dalvin Cook went down with a non-contact injury and is lost for the season with a torn ACL and Case Keenum came back to Earth and looked like...well...Case Keenum. Enough about my fandom and more about DFS as the stack I recommended last week turned out much better than the week before. As always, I will provide a quick recap of how things turned out before getting into this week's picks. Let's do it! It started early Sunday with the game at Wembley Stadium in London and to be honest, I was a bit scared of how the week would turn out. I slept through the entire first half and when I woke up it was 3-0 Saints at halftime. Before going right back to sleep I decided to watch the first drive and was thrilled to see Drew Brees drive the ball down the field and throw a touchdown to Michael Thomas. The Saints only put up 20 points in the end but considering it looked like a 9-6 type game at halftime, I will take it and run. Brees ended up completing 29 of 41 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns while Michael Thomas caught eight of his 11 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Coby Fleener was a bust but I am willing to cut those losses and take the points I got from Brees/Thomas. The Cardinals and 49ers game also came in under the number last week but Palmer and Fitz continued to roll. Without David Johnson, the system was bullish on Palmer's pass attempts(49) and he outperformed that by two completing 33 of 51 and recorded his third straight 300+ passing yard game. That made up for the lack of touchdowns in this low-scoring game but thankfully the one he did throw went to Larry Fitzgerald. Even with bye weeks and limited options this week, both are still underpriced, in my opinion, on both sites. There were a few high-scoring games I missed out on last week(Rams vs. Cowboys, Panthers vs. Patriots) but the Texans and Titans was not one of them. Rookie Deshaun Watson had a terrific game for fantasy completing 25 of 34 passes for 283 yards and four touchdowns. He narrowly missed out on the 300-yard bonus on DraftKings but made up for it adding a fifth touchdown on the ground. He continued to favor DeAndre Hopkins who had double the targets of any other receiver as he caught 10 of his 12 targets for 107 yards...
