Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 6
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 6 The 2020 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered in every area. Earlier in the week, we covered Cash Game Plays, our Top Bets, and looked at Injury Report. Now let's take a look at a few possible low owned GPP plays based on some of the industry buzz and ownership projections. Keep in mind, these are not safe plays and are generally very boom or bust. Roster accordingly. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Running Back The Chalk - Derrick Henry, Alexander Mattison, David Montgomery, Jonathan Taylor These are just a few of the RB who I am projecting to be chalky and have them ranked in order of preference. I am most confident in King Henry who gets monster volume(26.8 touches per game) and when he doesn't the yardage totals always seems to make up for it with his heavy redzone and goaline usage. Next up is Alexander Mattison who took over for the injured Dalvin Cook last week and was electric totaling 134 yards from scrimmage on 23 touches. He gets a plus matchup in a game with a high total on a team that loves to run the ball. David Mongomery is in a great spot as Carolina has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points per game to running backs but the Bears are underdogs here in a game with a lower total. The other scary part for GPP formats is that through five games, Monty has just three rushes and two receptions inside the redzone. As for Taylor, he has seen over 50% of the Colts snaps and over 50% of the running back touches just twice in five games. He does have upside in a plus game script on a running team but I will be underweight at these prices. The Pivots Todd Gurley II FD 6800 DK 6300 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 13.23 DK - 14.24 I have both Gurley and Sanders in the sub 10% range for big tournaments this week and I love the upside for both. Let's start with Gurley who has been low owned almost every week which kind of baffles me, to be honest. I get he is not getting the targets which really takes away the PPR value but he has more than made up for it with his opportunity in the redzone sitting third overall with 24 rushing attempts, converting on four of...

Quarterbacks Deshaun Watson FD 8200 DK 7000 Opponent TEN Proj Points FD - 22.48 DK - 23.25 In his first game, post-Bill O’Brien, Watson had his best game of the season against the Jaguars. He threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns while also getting out for 25 rushing yards. Sure, Jacksonville is the league’s worst defense, but it was good to see Watson return to some of the big-number form we’d seen from him in years past. After a brutal scheduling run to start the season, we may be getting the old Watson back now. Unfortunately, the matchup against the Titans isn’t exactly ideal coming off a week in which they shut down Josh Allen. But Watson still is about as dynamic a quarterback as you’ll find on this slate and the price hasn’t gotten all the way back after some early-season struggles. Ryan Fitzpatrick FD 7400 DK 5900 Opponent NYJ Proj Points FD - 20.59 DK - 21.63 Between byes, scheduling and injuries, the top five DraftKings-scoring quarterbacks aren’t on this slate so we are going to have to a dig a bit deeper this week to find some value at the position. Fitzpatrick has had a solid if unspectacular start to the season though some of that is a volume issue. Miami has two games already in which they were in complete control (SF in Week 5, JAX in Week 3) and Fitzpatrick didn’t top 30 passing attempts in either. But he’s also had two games (SEA in Week 4, NE in Week 1) in which he failed to record a passing touchdown and threw five combined interceptions. So it’s been an up-and-down season. This week he gets the Jets who rank 31st against the pass which is even more damning when you see they had three weeks of Brett Rypien, Jimmy G and the no-pass Colts. Fitzpatrick keeps the floor higher with gains on the ground, ranking fourth among quarterbacks in rushing yards this season and he’s a total bargain on DraftKings. Matthew Stafford FD 7300 DK 6300 Opponent JAX Proj Points FD - 21.12 DK - 21.91 Stafford gets the aforementioned Jaguars this week who rank dead last against the pass in part because they allow a league-worst 8.7 passing yards per attempt. That’s a half yard more than the next...

Kyler Murray FD 8300 DK 7200 Opponent NYJ Proj Points FD - 22.46 DK - 23.23 Jamison Crowder FD 6300 DK 5800 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 11.69 DK - 14.39 The quarterback position is very interesting this week in terms of ownership with Kyle Allen starting and just $4,100 on DraftKings. We saw this play out last season in Week 3 when he was the same price against Arizona and put up four touchdowns and nearly a 10x return. Then there is Teddy Bridgewater who will take on some ownership coming off a monster week and he is still cheap on both sites. Finally, in the top tier, we have Dak Prescott and Deshaun Watson who will be chalky with excellent matchups. In terms of pricing, Kyler Murray sits right in the middle of Prescott and Watson on both sites which has me thinking he will be much lower owned. If that is the case, I am even higher on Murray than I was earlier in the week as he has been elite topping 24 fantasy points and returning at least 3.4x value on DraftKings in each of the Cards four games. The Jets present a tougher matchup as they rank 8th in fantasy points per game given up to QB's but have early only faced one QB in Josh Allen who did run for 57 yards and a TD. That is where Kyler's upside lies and he also has arguably the best wideout in the game lining up on the outside. To capitalize on the upside in a game, I like pairing my core stack with a pass-catching option on the other side in hopes the game is a shootout. Early on in the season, there has been a high % of GPP-winning lineups constructed around games stacks, so I will be including some of these options going forward. This brings me to Jamison Crowder of the Jets who has controlled...

We've got whole games in jeopardy, big stars with injury tags, and a number of teams with incredibly unusual starts to the season. God, it's great to have sports in our lives again. In this week's game by game breakdown the guys discuss how this week is shaping up. Is there any running back value to be had here? Can we trust Kareem Hunt given what we saw from D'Ernest Johnson last week? Will Damien Harris continue to shoulder most of the carries for New England? Or are we better off playing it safe with the likes of Mike Davis and James Conner? There's a lot to discuss there. Wide receiver poses challenges of its own. The guys were bullish on Terry McLaurin in the cash game podcast yesterday, but with Kyle Allen taking over as his QB do they feel the same way? Will the change in coaching staff in Houston be good or bad for the Texans' offense in the near term? What on Earth can we make of the Falcons' receiving corps after what we saw last week? The position is sort of a mess. Tight end adds a few question marks too, with Kittle potentially getting Jimmy G back (is that good or bad?) and likely being in a different game script this week as well. With all these question marks, this isn't a podcast you'll want to miss. Enjoy! Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts. Week 5 is here, and Doug and James are back to break down their cash game plays on DraftKings and FanDuel. With the league swirling with uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, we should understand that these are preliminary looks at cash game selections. That being said, we do have a number of good options this week. Quarterback looks to be a position we are going to pay up at again, with the usual suspects all looking like great plays in good match-ups. The guys discuss whether we can trust Dak's production given the wild game scripts the Cowboys have played, whether we can take a little savings and play Deshaun Watson, or even turn to Teddy Bridgewater on DraftKings. Running back features a few interesting cheaper options in Mike Davis, Kareem Hunt, and Jerick McKinnon, with some nice expensive options in Ezekiel Elliott and Derrick Henry (if the Titans play, of course). Wide receiver was more of a mixed bag, with Amari Cooper ($7,800 on FD) being the only expensive wide receiver entering into consideration. It looks like another week where we'll fill out our cash game rosters with cheaper or midrange options like Robby Anderson or Terry McLaurin. Tight end looks to be a one man show this week, with George Kittle feeling a heck of a lot safer than the rest of the cheaper options. There's a chance we pivot to Jonnu Smith if the Titans actually play, but for now it looks like the rare week where we'll be paying up at tight end. Love the DFSR podcast?
