RUNNING BACKS Christine Michael FD 7400 DK 6800 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 16.81 DK - 18.44 Thomas Rawls remains out, leaving a majority of the Seahawks run game to Michael. The latter’s been solid this season averaging about 4.6 yards per carry and putting up an excellent 20/106/2 game against San Fran in Week 3. He’s averaging 19 carries and 3.5 receptions in the two games with Rawls definitively out and should see similar volume in this matchup against the Falcons. Atlanta’s been a bottom third team against the run this season and the Seahawks come in as one of the heavier favorites on the week at -6.5. With the game at home and the Seahawks utilizing the running game in a favorable script we could see a heavy dose of Michael here. Michael is close to (if not for sure) a cash game play this week. Lesean McCoy FD 8200 DK 6900 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 16.46 DK - 17.64 As my cousin Robbie put it so eloquently last week while Mr. McCoy was ripping yardage at a sick clip: You can see how hardcore Bills fans feel about the dude. And Bills fans are nothing if not hardcore. Shady may be back to the Shady of Old with the last three games seeing him averaging 18/110 along with some work in the passing game. He's not cheap, but that's kind of theme of this piece isn't it? There's a group of expensive guys who are all vying for your cash game consideration and Shady's one of them. He's facing a SF defense ranked 23rd in DVOA against the run and allowing opponents to run plays in bunches. Plus they've got a new QB under center and are just generally a mess. Could be another high teens running game for McCoy and his usage in the red zone definitely keeps the floor high for cash...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast – Week 6 Game-by-Game Breakdown 10/13/16
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast - Week 6 Game-by-Game Breakdown 10/13/16 DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis break down Week 6 in the NFL. There's a ton to discuss with a bunch of teams in optimal matchups. The Steelers stand out as being in a great spot against a rough Dolphins defense allowing opponents production in every facet of the game. They also spend time discussing the Bills in a great matchup against the 49ers and whether Tyrod Taylor is even a cash game consideration on DraftKings. Plenty of other pieces to talk about with Tom Brady, Demarco Murray, Lamar Miller and more. Subscribe to this podcast on...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast – Week 6 Value Plays 10/12/16
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast - Week 6 Value Plays 10/12/16 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis talk about this week’s value plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Week 6 is interesting with some big money plays in excellent spots against bad defenses. But that will make things a little tricky for lineup creating considering your salary caps will take a hit. The DFSR guys discuss Big Ben, Brady along with some cheaper options at quarterback. At running back it’s Le’Veon Bell, Jordan Howard and Demarco Murray. The receivers are led by Antonio Brown and T.Y. Hilton but there are some value plays there as well. And then Doug gets on the line with DFSR NHL writer Chris Durell to discuss the opening of the hockey season and some general strategy to take in NHL DFS. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 6 10/16/16
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 6 10/16/16 Week 6 is coming down the pike and there are some interesting big money plays to consider. This week doesn't have the "punt" element we've seen in other weeks which could make lineup creation tricky. In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. If you want to see the numbers behind our projections, create linueps with a single click, or research as deeply as your heart desires, click the button below to test out yourself. MAKE LINEUPS NOW! QUARTERBACKS Ben Roethlisberger FD 8700 DK 7500 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 21.46 DK - 22.27 Stacking the Steelers as a team will be a fairly popular play this week and for good reason. They come into the week with the second highest team implied total this season and are content to throw the ball around forty times a game. Big Ben is expensive but has so many weapons (many of whom we will get to shortly) that his floor remains high on a week-to-week basis. Even last week in a relative blowout he threw 47 times for 380/4. We can’t pencil him in for that kind of production each week, but he’s facing a Miami team who allowed Marcus Freaking Mariota a career game last week. They look to be in real trouble here as well. The only thing that keeps Big Ben out of cash game consideration as opposed to his teammates is the price. I’d rather pay for the Bell’s and Brown’s of the world. But Big Ben’s a top play this week. Tom Brady FD 9000 DK 7700 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 20.44 DK - 21.24 Ever heard of him? Brady came back with a bang last week going 28 for 40 and a 403/3 line that flicked off any of the perceived rust coming off such a long hiatus. Brady is likely the safest quarterback week-over-week considering how much the Patriots are willing to pass even in games where they have things well in hand. He has enough weapons in Gronk, Edelman plus auxiliary pieces like Hogan, Bennett and White out of the backfield. And they can keep defenses honest with Blount chewing up yards in the ground game. I don’t love the matchup against the Bengals (their performance against the Cowboys aside)...
