DFS NFL Talk Week 4 – Cash Game Considerations 9/27/17
DFS NFL Talk Week 4 - Cash Game Considerations 9/27/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Wednesday NFL pod discussing cash game plays for Week 4 on FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to consider on a week where ownership percentages could be all over the place. They start at quarterback with Tom Brady, Carson Palmer and some of the cheap plays like Deshaun Watson and Tyrod Taylor. At running back, Ezekiel Elliott looks to be in a potentially solid game script as a favorite at home against the Rams. They also discuss Devonta Freeman and punt-isa plays like Chris Carson and Joe Mixon. Receiver could be the chalk position with AJ Green and Larry Fitzgerald coming off of great weeks. And tight end could roll the same way. All of this an more on a full Wednesday cash game pod for Week 4 NFL on FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy Football Picks – FanDuel & DraftKings Week 4 10/1/17
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 4 - 10/1/17 Wow, what a crazy Week 3 in the NFL. There were legit more WTF?! moments on Sunday than I really care to count including (but not limited to) New England needing a Brady miracle to pull out a win at home against Houston, Golden Tate getting tackled at the half inch line to end the game, Jacksonville and Washington winning in blowouts, two OT games and a 61 yard game winning field goal. And that doesn’t even feel like the half of it. But on to Week 4 we head which could include its own level of crazy. We have DraftKings taking off the Sunday night game from the main slate, another Sunday morning game and a bunch of cheap quarterbacks looking like possible value. Let’s dive in. Tom Brady is still in the top 1-2 quarterbacks in the league and 2. The Patriots defense isn’t shutting anyone down this season. Through the first three weeks Brady leads all quarterbacks in fantasy scoring (it’s not all that close) and the Patriots have allowed an average 32 points per game to the Chiefs, Saints and *gulp* Texans. I know they come into this game as a big favorite, but that hasn’t mattered much for the Pats so far this season and Brady should continue to see Brady-like opportunity making the offense churn. Some blowout risk for sure, but most of the offensive production stands to run through him for a team with the highest implied total on the day. Carson Palmer FD 7400 DK 6100 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 20.41 DK - 21.6 In his two games without David Johnson, Palmer has averaged 44 passing attempts and 329 yards through the air. The Cardinals haven’t been able to trust much, if anything, with their running game and will likely continue to rely on Palmer to move the ball down the field. He’s not an accurate passer (57% over the last two weeks which is down from his career numbers) and that should be expected especially without best safety valve in...

Impressive Performances Todd Gurley - 40.8 FP - 113 rushing yards, 36 receiving yards, 3 TD This was one of the more fun Thursday Night Football games in quite some time, and we saw plenty of fantasy goodness make it's way out. Gurley led the bunch, going for over 40 fantasy points. He's been over 18 in each of his 3 games and it looks like Gurley is going to be one of the bigger touches-hog at RB. You can't even really name the Rams backup RB. In week 4, the match-up with the Cowboys is interesting. They have shown some flashes on defense, but if the Rams are just going to feed him all-game long, they aren't good enough to keep him out of the endzone. He may end up with high ownership and I'm fine with the fade in that case. Stefon Diggs - 40.3 FP - 8 catches, 173 yards, 2 TD Well, basically the entire industry was wrong on this one. With Sam Bradford out, Case Keenum was expected to struggle and diminish the value of Diggs and Thielen. However, this week gave us a much different story. Keenum looked just as good as Bradford and peppered Diggs with 11 targets. He may finally have taken a step forward, which is great news for the Vikings, as you can't count on Bradford for more than a week at a time. Diggs is going to continue being a target monster and he has one of the friendliest-schedules in the league. He will see Darius Slay next week, so it might not be the game you want to target him in. Chris Thompson - 33.8 FP - 38 rushing yards, 150 receiving yards, TD This is a guy who can hurt you on the ground and through the air. He's not just a pass-catching RB, he's a receiver. He can catch it from the slot, backfield, or split wide. He can also run between the tackles and has done a good job of staying away from the hard hits that used to knock him out every week. Remember, this is a guy who broke his entire back just a couple years ago. Kirk Cousins loves dumping it down to him and...

Sammy Watkins (foot) was placed on the injured reserved list today. C.J. Spiller will be active for Sunday's game, but is not on my radar. Jimmy Graham (knee) practiced in full on Friday and should be out there on Sunday. Matt Forte (knee) was removed from the injury repot on Friday. Charles Clay (knee) was a limited participate in Friday's practice and is considered questionable. If he does play, he'll be on a snap-count. Michael Floyd (concussion) was removed from the injury report, which means he'll play on Sunday. Tavon Austin (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday, and it looks like he'll suit up on Sunday. Jamaal Charles (knee) will make his 2016 debut on Sunday! It will be interesting to see what type of roll he has in his first game back, but he's not in play for me this week. Dez Bryant (knee) has a hairline fracture in his knee and looks doubtful for Sunday. Willie Snead (toe) was a limited participate in Friday's practice. It looks like he is going to be another game-time decision, so if you like him, pay attention to his status closely. Julio Jones (calf) is no longer on the injury report. Marvin Jones (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and will be out there on Sunday. Isiah Crowell (knee) was removed from the injury report...
