Quarterbacks Justin Herbert FD 7800 DK 6600 Opponent JAX Proj Points FD - 20.79 DK - 20.79 This wildcard matchup between the Chargers and Jaguars is where I will be focusing most of my exposure on Saturday and it starts with a total(47.5) that is almost a touchdown higher than the 49ers/Seahawks. For Herbert, he checks almost every box and it starts with the matchup against the Jags' defence that ranks 30th in DVOA against the pass and 24th in fantasy points against quarterbacks. While Herbert struggled to hit 3x value over his last four games, he did throw multiple touchdowns in each of the last two games. Herbert has the highest floor and ceiling on this small slate and is our top quarterback in all formats. Brock Purdy FD 7100 DK 5500 Opponent SEA Proj Points FD - 14.49 DK - 14.49 If you are looking to take the value route, especially on DraftKings, Brock Purdy is the cheapest option on the slate, the biggest favourite, and has played terrific down the stretch. Since taking over for the injured Jimmy G in week 13, Purdy thrown for multiple touchdowns in all five games while averaging 18.1 fantasy points per game. He is surrounded by talented playmakers and can easily be double-stacked and his price also allows us to load up on elite running backs on this slate. I will have a ton of exposure to Purdy in all formats. Running Back Austin Ekeler FD 9000 DK 8300 Opponent JAX Proj Points FD - 19 DK - 21.58 Travis Etienne Jr. FD 7100 DK 6300 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 16.65 DK - 17.83 All three top running backs on this slate are in play and can be stacked together with the value at other positions. Let's start with Austin Ekeler who led all running backs in targets(7.5) and receptions(6.3) per game while also setting career-highs in rushing yards, targets, and receptions(still would have got there on tar/rec with 17 weeks). While the Jags offence has been above-average against running backs(11th in DVOA vs the rush), the matchup is...

Playoff Scenarios Dominate the Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 18 – Main Slate

Playoff Scenarios Dominate the Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 18 - Main Slate Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time, we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts FD 9000 DK 8200 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 26.07 DK - 26.07 Week 18 is always the toughest to get a handle on with teams’ motivations all over the place for the final game of the regular season. In this case, we know that the Eagles have as much to play for as anyone, needing only to win to secure the top seed in the NFC East. Hurts is going to return after a multi-week absence to play against the Giants. Hurts has about as high a floor as it gets in this offense and the Eagles are huge, -14 favorites going into this game. The price is on the high side of course, but this is a guy who ranks third overall in DraftKings scoring on the season despite playing two fewer games than the guys above him (Mahomes and Allen). For Saturday’s main slate, Hurts is basically as safe as it gets assuming he’s fully healthy now. Geno Smith FD 7300 DK 6000 Opponent LARProj Points FD - 20.09 DK - 20.09 The Seahawks are another team that will have to give a full effort in Week 18. They play in the 4PM hour and if they win and the Packers lose then Seattle is in the playoffs as the 7th seed. With Green Bay not playing until the evening, Seattle will have to do work against the Rams and then just wait. That puts Smith in a good spot from a fantasy perspective and is coming cheaper on DraftKings where he’s just QB9 in pricing. The yards haven’t been there in recent weeks for Smith, but I still think we can play him here against the Rams who rank 24th in defensive DVOA against the pass this season. Running Backs Christian McCaffrey FD 10000 DK 9300 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 25.48 DK - 28.89 With the Eagles and 49ers both playing at the same time in the 4PM hour, we can know that they should both be going for it when it comes to trying to win. If the Eagles were to lost and San Fran won then the latter would have the #1 seed and a bye in the first round. McCaffrey is coming off another huge volume week that saw him get...

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 17

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 17 Welcome back football fans. Week 17 in the NFL is here and DFSR has you covered. Earlier in the week, we look at our top cash game picks and now it's time to look at some stacks that help us get to the top of our GPP contests. Let's get started. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Lions Passing Game Jared Goff FD 7400 DK 5600 Opponent CHI Proj Points FD - 20.28 DK - 20.28 Amon-Ra St. Brown FD 8200 DK 7800 Opponent CHI Proj Points FD - 20.5 DK - 25.31 DJ Chark FD 6000 DK 4300 Opponent CHI Proj Points FD - 8.13 DK - 9.81 There is no avoiding the chalk with this stack as it the game has the highest total(51.5) on the slate and looking at the Lions' home games in 2022, seven of eight have hit 53 or more and exceeded 60 three times. In these teams' first meeting in Chicago, they combined for 61 points. Everything points to a shootout so let's get as much exposure as possible across all formats. The stack starts with Jared Goff as a value option as he is somehow outside the Top 10 in QB pricing on DraftKings this week. He has arguably been the best fantasy QB in football lately throwing for 300 or more yards in three of his last five games while averaging 23 DraftKings points per game during that stretch. You can most definitely double-stack here as both top receivers have been doing damage lately, as well. It starts with Amon-Ra St. Brown who has been a target monster collecting eight or more in nine straight with double-digits in six of those games. While he has only tallied three touchdowns in those games, he has averaged 86 receiving yards and 19.5 DK/14.7 FD points per game. DJ Chark Jr. has also stepped up and been a big contributor lately, as well, with 90 or more receiving yards in three of his last four games. Against a Bears defence that is dead last in overall defensive efficiency and 29th in DVOA against the pass, this is my core stack in week 17. Game Stack - Vikings @ Packers Dalvin Cook FD 8300 DK 7000 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 17.46 DK - 18.84 Aaron Rodgers FD 7100 DK 6000 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 19.66 DK - 19.66 Allen Lazard FD 6200 DK 5400 Opponent MIN Proj...

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 16 Christmas Slate

Posted by on Dec 24, 2022 in featured, Football Strategy |

Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 16 Christmas Slate Merry Christmas football fans. We have a very special three-game slate today and we got you covered with some of our top picks at each position. Let's dig in. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Tom Brady FD 7500 DK 5600 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 18.18 DK - 18.18 I am taking a veteran approach to the quarterback position on Christmas and it starts with the GOAT, Tom Brady. He hasn't exactly been an upside option with just one game posting 25 or more fantasy points but he has been consistent recently hitting the 3x threshold on DraftKings in four of his last five games with multiple touchdown passes in each of those. He has a very strong receiving core led by Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and the Bucs also get a plus matchup against the Cards who rank 20th in DVOA against the pass and 25th in fantasy points to quarterbacks. Fire up Tampa Tom in all formats on Christmas Day. Aaron Rodgers FD 7300 DK 5700 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 17.33 DK - 17.33 This marks the first time in 2022 I have targeted Aaron Rodgers outside of showdown as it has been a rough year. I much prefer Brady in the same price range as he has better surrounding targets but Rodgers is in play here against a Dolphins team that is much better against the run(11th) than against the pass(26th) and also give up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. We don't like Rodgers in cash games but based on the data there is a game script where the Dolphins shut down Aaron Jones/AJ Dillon and Rodgers has to pass 35+ times. This could lead to a ceiling game and we are on board in GPP formats this week. Running Backs Raheem Mostert FD 7400 DK 5500 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 14.12 DK - 15.6 When looking at the projections, we have four backs who are within a one point of each but it's Mostert who tops the list for me here. It starts with the matchup as he faces a Packers team that is dead last in DVOA against the rush and has given up 100+ rushing yards in 11 of 14 games and 150+ rushing yards in eight of those. Mostert also checks the boxes we are looking for in a running back as a home favorite in a game with...

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen Lead the FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks Week 16- Saturday Main Slate

Posted by on Dec 22, 2022 in Weekly Fantasy Football Picks |

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen Lead the FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks Week 16 - Saturday Main Slate Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time, we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9500 DK 8500 Opponent CHIProj Points FD - 26.83 DK - 26.83 Any concern about Josh Allen’s fantasy upside over the last few games was erased in Week 15 when the dude went nuclear once again. Playing the Dolphins on Saturday night, Allen threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns while also adding another 77 yards on the ground. It was a clutch performance in the win against the Dolphins. This week he gets the Bears who rank 31st in defensive DVOA on the season and are equally bad against both the run and the pass. Buffalo has clinched a playoff spot, but they are still in the hunt for a first-round bye so it’s likely they will keep the foot on the gas for the rest of the regular season. Patrick Mahomes FD 9200 DK 8400 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 26.23 DK - 26.23 As we suggested last week, it’s going to pay to spend up at quarterback on this main slate of games. With Jalen Hurts on the shelf, that leaves us with Allen and Patrick Mahomes to decide between. Mahomes trails Hurts by just a couple of decimal points in DraftKings scoring this season and has thrown for 320+ yards in eight of the last nine games. Seattle is a bottom-third defense on the season and the 48.5 total is the highest over/under on the slate. I suspect Mahomes, coming a bit cheaper than Allen, will have a lot of ownership here and it’s for good reason. Running Backs Christian McCaffrey FD 9400 DK 8800 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 25.14 DK - 28.58 At this point in the season, it’s going to make the most sense to target the superstar situations which are most clear in terms of opportunity. That’s for sure the case for Christian McCaffrey who, without Deebo Samuel, is the workhorse in every sense of the word for San Francisco. He’s coming off a week playing 89% of the snaps and touching the ball a whopping 34 times (26 carries, 8 targets) while racking up 138 total yards and a touchdown. Few other running backs are going to see anywhere close to this usage on a week-to-week basis. The 49ers are playing for seeding here and with...
