Daily Fantasy Football Running Back Values for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2 9/18/16 We covered our main cash game plays in our Week 2 Picks where we touched on DeAngelo Williams, C.J. RUNNING BACK VALUES Danny Woodhead FD 6400 DK 5200 Opponent JAX Proj Points FD - 14.92 DK - 17.21 Melvin Gordon FD 6600 DK 4800 Opponent JAX Proj Points FD - 11.03 DK - 12.39 It's going to be interesting to see how the Chargers handle their business going forward. It was looking like Keenan Allen had come back to solidify the volume receiver slot Philip Rivers could really excel with. And then bam, torn ACL and they are sort of back to the drawing board. The passes will have to go somewhere and Woodhead is clearly a solid candidate. He led the team in carries in Week 1 (16/89) while also seeing seven targets in the passing game (5/37). He isn't the goal line guy which hurts the TD upside, but that's reflected in his price. He's close to a cash game play this week. Speaking of that touchdown upside, that's more Melvin Gordon's area. He was out-carried by Woodhead last week (16-14) but got into the end zone twice. He's clearly the goal line back in this offense and around for series as well. Woodhead has the pass catching piece which doesn't equal out the TD's (though it's close) but Gordon is in a good spot if you're reaching just for the end zone. Legarrette Blount FD 6000 DK 4000 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 14.15 DK - 14.83 James White FD 5600 DK 4000 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 12.05 DK - 14.72 Look, you really never know with the Patriots. Just when it seems they have a clear plan of attack with their personnel they'll just go completely off board and do something different. That of course is why they can compete and win almost no matter who they have on the field. Last week? No Gronk and no Brady. No problem....
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 2 – 9/18/16
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2 9/18/16 Week 1 is in the books and we learned a ton about how teams operated, schemes and general usage. Now we get to put that info to good use for Week 2. In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. You can grab a free trial to test out yourself. START YOUR FREE TRIAL! QUARTERBACKS Cam Newton FD 9000 DK 7900 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 25.81 DK - 26.55 If you are wondering if Chip Kelly brought his full offensive philosophy over to San Fran this year, you're right in that they went from a team ranked 30th in pace last year to having run the second most plays in the NFL in week one. Why does this matter for Cam? Because the faster the pace of the game (or the opponent) the more volume a player stands to see. Such is the case for Newton who comes into the game as the biggest favorite on the week (-13). It's a little tricky rostering a quarterback in a game like this as you get worried about the blowout, but Cam has such a high floor with his ability to run and has a true WR1 back in the fold with Kelvin Benjamin looking fully recovered from injury. This is a great spot for Newton and I suspect the price tag keeps people away from his more than they should this week. Eli Manning FD 8100 DK 7600 Opponent NO Proj Points FD - 21.66 DK - 22.57 Derek Carr didn't ritualistically shred the Saints' defense as expected last week, but that game was still a track meet that saw Carr put the ball up close to 40 times. I suspect you see much of the same this week with Eli and the Giants (and Brees going the other way). Dallas was able to time -of-possession the hell out of New York last week, but that isn't the Saints' game plan and there's a reason this game has three more points than the next higher over/ under on the week. Don't be too fooled by Manning's performance last week. Like I said, the Cowboys dominated the clock. Eli has an elite WR1, some adequate secondary options and the benefit of playing a team still struggling in pass defense....

We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! NFL News, Notes and Updates Rob Gronkowski(NE) It's official -- Rob Gronkowski has been ruled out for Week 1. He's been bothered by a hamstring injury, so he didn't travel with the team. So here's what we can expect from the Patriots: Martellus Bennett will now be TE1 and will get a ton of opportunities. You can also expect Julian Edelman to be even more heavily involved in the offense and we can see a little more of James White as well. Going up against the Cardinals will be no easy task, but these guys are very affordable and will get plenty of opportunities to make something happen. Chiefs RB Situation(KC) Jamal Charles has officially been ruled out for Week 1, as he is still recovering from his ACL injury last season. So here's what we can expect from the Kansas City Chiefs: Spencer Ware will be the starter for Sunday, but all three running backs will play. Coach Reid isn't telling us fantasy players what we want to hear, which is why I consider Ware a tournament play only. He will most likely ride with the hot-hand, so whoever gets hot first will get the majority of the carries. Ware is the starter, so if he gets hot early, you can expect him to get a whole lot of playing time. It's a tricky situation, but out of the three backs, Ware is...
