Daily Fantasy Football Wide Receiver and Tight End Values for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 5 10/9/16
Daily Fantasy Football Wide Receiver and Tight Ends Values for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 5 10/9/16 We covered our main cash game plays in our Week 5 Picks where we touched on Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham, Julian Edelman and Terrelle Pryor. For this piece we will touch on some of the cheaper targets you can use for salary relief and/ or GPP upside. In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. SIGN UP NOW! WIDE RECEIVER AND TIGHT END VALUES Brandon Marshall FD 7600 DK 7100 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 15.83 DK - 19.05 Quincy Enunwa FD 6200 DK 4600 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 11.08 DK - 13.62 No Eric Decker for the Jets means a heavy dose of these two guys. Marshall doesn't necessarily qualify as a "cheap" value play all things considered but I do think you're getting great points/$ on his salary. Last week against Richard Sherman he went 4/89/1 on 12 targets. Force-feeding him the ball in that suboptimal matchup is a pretty clear sign of what the Jets intend to do going forward and he has a much better matchup this week against the Steelers. Marshall actually ranks second in the league with Red Zone targets this season (7) and that really helps his touchdown expectation going forward. Plus if you figure the Jets are playing from behind in this one (they're +7 dogs) Enunwa is still a relative value even with the price climb. He's seen steady production this year, coming in second on the team in targets (averaging 8 per game) good for a 23/243/1 line on the season. Alshon Jeffery FD 8000 DK 7800 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 11.43 DK - 13.65 Eddie Royal FD 5700 DK 4200 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 8.16 DK - 10.38 Zach Miller FD 5400 DK 3600 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 8.33 DK - 10.32 With Kevin White now on the shelf for the foreseeable future, the Bears are without their far-and-away target leader. White had 25% of the teams passing targets this year and no one else was really even close. If nothing else, that’s going to mean quite a bit of volume to go around. Eddie Royal was next man up last week with 7 targets for a 7/111/1 line which ended up as one of the...
Daily Fantasy Football Picks – FanDuel & DraftKings Week 5 10/9/16
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 5 10/9/16 Happy Week 5, everyone! Week 4 wound up being a weird one. Just 5 300 yard passers, a couple of unexpected 15+ target guys, a few key (and bizarre) injuries, and an extremely bizarre running back situation. Things turned out pretty well in DFSR land, but it was definitely a week where we needed to spread out exposure over all slates to avoid a few notable duds (Hi, Cam.). Either way, we've geared all the way back up for week 5, and we're ready to provide the picks you need to win fortune, fame, and fantastic looking significant others. Or maybe we're just sharing our opinions on fantasy football. Either way, it's bound to be a good time. QUARTERBACKS Tom Brady FD 8700 DK 7500 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 20.98 DK - 21.8 I have to admit, it feels weird putting Tom Terrific on this list. It fundamentally goes against everything we normally preach, primarily because we haven't seen Brady throw a single pass this season, and he's pretty darned old. With Brady, though, the #narrativestreet is too strong to ignore. Brady missed the first four games of the season due to suspension, not injury, and the Pats are coming off a humiliating game where they got shut out by the Bills. They've been slowly ramping up Gronkowski, and have been mostly relying on LeGarrette Blount to rumble their way to a solid 3-1 record. So what to make of Brady for this week? Well, you aren't exactly getting Brady cheaply here. Paying these prices means you believe he'll be back to his old self, and taking him against a very slow Cleveland team means you think that the #narrativestreet will overcome possible game script issues. And you know what? I think it might be worth it. The national hype over Brady's return will be so strong here that Brady will be hugely owned in all formats, and I can't really disagree with what people are projecting him for here. I think we see...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast – Week 4 Recap 10/5/16
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast - Week 4 Recap 10/5/16 DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look back at Week 4 in the NFL. It was a crazy one with Julio Jones as the obvious stand out performer putting a game for the ages. There's plenty of other pieces to discuss with the return of Le'Veon Bell to a fully-firing Steelers' offense. The also discuss the run vs. pass trend that emerged this week with a number of high profile WRs failing to put up numbers. And finally, they talk about what Tom Brady's return will mean for guys like Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski and the Pats' offense in general. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Week 4
Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel - Week 4 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football with DFSR. Stacking continues to be the name of the game for tournaments and below I will go through my top four stacks for the week four. I will be using DFSR's Player Lab tool to help narrow down the options to help identify the not only the best stacks but some of the best values within the stacks. Let's dig in! Week 4 NFL Stacks Stack #1 - San Diego Chargers vs. New Orleans Saints QB - Philip Rivers Elite Options - Travis Benjamin, Melvin Gordon Value Options - Tyrell Williams, Hunter Henry As with most weeks I start my Player Lab research by checking the High Vegas O/U filter and usually use 47 or 48 as the floor. There are only four games out of the 12 on the Sunday main slate that carry this threshold with thee Saints/Chargers game leading the way at 54. The Chargers are the early favorites(-4) at home and even without Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead provide many viable options to stack in DFS. The loss of Allen pushed Travis Benjamin into a #1 role in the offense and has looked good catching 17 balls 21 targets this season for 229 yards and two touchdowns. On the other side providing excellent value is Tyrell Williams. He hasn't had that breakout game yet(which will keep his ownership down), but has seen an increase in targets in each of the first three weeks. He is a much better value on DraftKings at a $1,500 discount off Benjamin. You can most definitely consider Melvin Gordon at RB this week as the Saints have allowed a league worst 149 yards rushing per game. The loss of Woodhead has helped secure the workload that Gordon is going to see week in and week out and he is also coming off a nice week in the pass game catching four of seven targets for 43 yards. It appears Antonio Gates could once again sit out meaning there is punt value in Hunter Henry(DK-$2,700/FD-$4,500) who looked good last week catching all five of his targets for 72 yards. Stack #2 - New Orleans Saints vs. San Diego Chargers QB - Drew Brees Elite Options - Michael Thomas, Coby...
