Week 9 NFL Stacks This week, as with every week, I started with the Player Lab tool and didn't get very far into the filters before narrowing the field down. This week there are two games with 50+ "High Vegas O/U" and just three Quarterbacks facing teams ranked high in "High Opp Allowed Pace". Let's dig in and take look at these terrific stacking opportunities.     New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers QB - Drew Brees Elite Options - Brandin Cooks Value Options - Michael Thomas The trend continues for the Saints as it has for a few years now. A bad defense is forcing Drew Brees and the offense to be extremely pass happy as they trail their opponent more times than not. This shouldn't be the case this week against a 49ers team that sits with a 1-6 record and poor -75 scoring differential. Despite all that the Saints still only sit as a 4.5 point road favorite which falls on the back of said bad defense. The projections have Brees projected for 45 pass attempts this week and while that seems high consider that he has chucked it 42+ times in five of his seven games this season. It also helps that the Saints run game is a complete mess as Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower will be splitting carries going forward. The thing I like most about this matchup is that the 49ers rank 27th in Defense vs. the Pass and allow their opponents to run 70+ plays per game when looking at the Player Lab tool. On the high end I like pairing Brees with his #1 option Brandin Cooks who has scored in three straight games. For value I am going to lean on Michael Thomas as he comes a bit cheaper than Willie Snead and trails Cooks by only one target this season. This will be a scenario where I pair Brees with both WR's on a few lineups as I am expecting a shootout.         Green Bay Packers QB - Aaron Rodgers Elite Options - Jordy Nelson Value Options -  Davante Adams Taking a look at the other game projected for 50+ points is the Indianapolis Colts traveling to Green...

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Week 8

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel - Week 8 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football with DFSR. Stacking continues to be the name of the game for tournaments and below I will go through my top four stacks for the week four. I will be using DFSR's Player Lab tool to help narrow down the options to help identify the not only the best stacks but some of the best values within the stacks. Let's dig in! In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. Week 8 NFL Stacks       Green Bay Packers QB - Aaron Rodgers Elite Options - Jordy Nelson Value Options - Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery If you have been reading the DFSR content and listening to the podcasts you could have easily guessed who was going to kick off the stacks article. The funny part is that a large number of us that put together the content all agree on the value of Rodgers and the Packers passing game this week. Without Eddie Lacy to tote the ball 20+ times we are likely to see a very high usage rate for Rodgers once again this week. He attempted 56 passes last week, completing 39 for his first 300+ yard game of the season and now gets his best matchup of the season against a Falcons team that ranks 26th in Defense vs. the Pass on the Player Lab tool. Rodgers is projected for around 43 attempts this week and has four viable options to throw to in Nelson, Cobb, Adams and Montgomery. For large field tournaments I like Nelson as my go to WR as I believe his disappointing previous two weeks will lead to a lower ownership than it should be vs. a weak Falcons secondary. As we have seen many times, stacking more than one receiving option on a team can be very profitable. For the value I would side with Montgomery who will lineup out of the backfield and outside of a few carries will also get multiple targets, even if just swing passes and dump offs. They all count!       Tampa Bay Bucanneers QB - Jameis Winston Elite Options - Mike Evans Value Options -  Cameron Brate From a PTS/$ perspective, Winston is the top value play at the position on both sites this week. He is a boom...

Week 7 NFL Stacks     Stack #1 - New England Patriots QB - Tom Brady Elite Options - Rob Gronkowski Value Options - Julian Edelman, Jame White The Patriots impressed going 3-1 without their star quarterback and tight end to start the season. Since Tom Brady has returned from suspension and Rob Gronkowski returned to full health they now look unstoppable. They have scored 68 points over the past two weeks while Brady has thrown the ball 35+ times in each game and recorded three touchdowns in each with a total of 782 yards through the air. If you think he isn't out there trying to prove he is still the best you aren't watching the games. The happiest man on the planet to see Tom return was elite TE Rob Gronkowski who has caught 12 of his 16 targets over the last weeks for 271 yards and a touchdown. That's an average over 20 yards per catch which can't be faded at this point. Looking at the Player Lab tool there was only one QB who showed up when using the filters above. Even as seven point favorites Brady is expect to chuck it up 40+ times against a Steelers defense that ranks 21st in Defense vs. the Pass. It won't difficult to pay up for Brady & Gronk this week as there are some excellent value RB's this week filling in for injured players. If you can't seem to find the salary to feel comfortable stacking them you can consider some value plays in the passing game as well. James White has been a sneaky play out of the backfield and since Brady returned has received 15 targets the last two weeks, catching 12 for 110 yards and a touchdown. Julia Edelman is most likely going to be really low owned as...

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Week 6

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel - Week 6 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football with DFSR. Stacking continues to be the name of the game for tournaments and below I will go through my top four stacks for the week four. Week 6 NFL Stacks   Stack #1 - Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins QB - Ben Roethlisberger Elite Options - Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell Value Options - Jesse James, Sammie Coates(If starting) If you listened to the Week 6 podcast where I joined Doug to talk Stacks, among other things, you know these filters above is where I start every week on the Player Lab. I have the "High Vegas O/U" set at 46, the "Poor Defense vs. Pass" set at 20 or worse and the "High Opp Allowed Pace" set at 67. This spit out just two quarterbacks this week. I think both will be chalky but I lean the Steelers as Cam is coming off a concussion and not been playing well and Kelvin Benjamin showed up on the Thursday injury report. The Steelers are a team I would consider doing a full team stack as they are projected to blow out the Dolphins and their 25th ranked defense vs. the pass. They have shown in the past they can get ahead with Big Ben and Antonio Brown soaking up the yards through the air with Le'Veon Bell getting a heavy workload in the second half and racking up the points. Jesse James makes a nice value play at the TE position. He has recorded a TD in three of his last four games and is coming off a season high eight targets. They will be chalky but that doesn't mean you have to go elsewhere. It just means you need to differentiate yourself with your other positions.         Stack #2 - Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts QB - Brock Osweiler Elite Options - DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller Value Options -  Lamar Miller This stack will go a bit under the radar as Brock Osweiler has been less than impressive...

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Week 5

Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel - Week 5 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football with DFSR. Week 5 NFL Stacks   Stack #1 - New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers QB - Eli Manning Elite Options - Odell Beckham Jr. Value Options - Victor Cruz, Sterling Shepard I have a very strong feeling this week that the combination of Eli Manning and Odell Backham Jr. will win a ton of tournaments. The Packers are the big home favorites(-7.5) after a bye week and should be chasing for the majority of the game. The Giants don't have much of a run game even with the possibility if Rashad Jennings returning. Add to it that the Packers rank 2nd in Defense vs. Rush on the Player Lab tool which explains the high 40+ pass attempt projection. Eli has thrown 35+ passes in three straight weeks adding 350+ yards in two of those despite only throwing one touchdown. He will most likely be low owned due to that and also comes with an affordable price on both sites. Odell Beckham Jr. proved he can be shut down last week vs. the Vikings where Xavier Rhodes limited him to just 23 yards. I see a huge bounce back this week vs. the Packers where he will match up against Sam Shields or Damarious Randall who have ranked out very poorly this season. Eli continues to target OBJ at a high rate as he ranks 10th(39 targets) among wide receivers through four weeks. With the high projection on Eli's attempts this week it will also be viable to consider Victor Cruz on the outside or Sterling Shepard in the slot.     Stack #2 - Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants QB - Aaron Rodgers Elite Options - Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacy  Value Options -  Randall Cobb I am expecting this game to easily reach the Over(48) this week as the Packers are coming...
