Week 14 NFL Stacks Another Week of NFL DFS is in the books and that means we are inching closer to the end. We now have four weeks left in the regular season. Well, three weeks if you consider Week 17 to be a complete gamble of unknowns lie I do. We will cross that bridge when we get there. Before diving into Week 14 and my favorite picks, we will go over the results from last weeks' recommendations. New Orleans Saints - While this game was projected to be the highest scoring on the slate, it was a complete disappointment from the Saints side of things. Brees did not even attempt a pass to a wide receiver until the 11:19 mark in the second quarter and didn't complete one until the 5:49 mark. It was an opening half run heavy and dink and dunk game plan. Brees ended up completing 31 of 44 passes for 326 yards but averaged just 7.4 yards per attempt. He didn't record a touchdown pass at home for the first time since 2009(60 games) and was picked off by the Lions three times. I am not taking too much away from this performance besides it was an unusual day for the Saints at home. They now go on the road to Tampa Bay and are once again involved in the highest projected scoring game of the week. Rating F Detroit Lions - On the other side of the game stack, the Lions didn't disappoint as Matthew Stafford lead the way to victory completing 30 of 42 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. With Marvin Jones Jr. ruled out, it was Golden Tate who benefited the most catching eight of his game high 10 targets for 145 yards and a touchdown. He caught balls over the middle, made an amazing catch down the sideline, and also showed his run after the catch ability. No other player had over 50 yards on the day. Rating A Seattle Seahawks - This one didn't go exactly as planned as the Seahawks completely rolled over the Panthers. The one part of the Panthers that was working was the run defense which was the main reason I leaned on stacking Wilson/Baldwin/Graham. Things definitely changed...

Week 13 NFL Stacks Welcome back to another week of daily fantasy football my friends! Before digging in to the Week 13 slate we are going to take a look back at the results from last weeks stacks recommendations. New England Patriots - Things didn't go exactly as I though in this game as the Jets didn't exactly shut the run game down but Brady still attempted 50 passes. Although he only completed 30 he still managed to record 286 yards through the air with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Edelman did end up leading the team in targets with 11 and caught eight for 83 yards but it was rookie Malcolm Mitchell stealing the how catching both of Brady's touchdown passes despite only recording 42 yards. The running back situation continues to be a pain to choose one as Blount got 11 carries and was productive while White and Lewis combined for 16 targets in the pass game. On the plus side there will be a ton of extra targets to go around for the remainder of the season as it was announced Rob Gronkowski is done for the year. Arizona Cardinals - I was extremely excited to see how this game started as Carson Palmer and the Cards offense drove down the field on the first drive and scored a touchdown. It looked like GPP heaven until it wasn't. Palmer did end up with 289 yards passing and two touchdowns but the Falcons did a good job containing his favorite target in Larry Fitzgerald. The one thing that worked out in this one was using Palmer and David Johnson in a stack. DJ was shut down in the run game but that didn't stop him from hitting value once again. He caught eight balls on a team high 11 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown. At this point I don't think price matters at all as DJ is matchup proof in any game flow situation. Oakland Raiders - While Amari Cooper was completely shut down that didn't stop the Raiders from putting up 24 points in the first half and beating the Panthers 35-32 on Sunday. This was a situation where I benefited from creating multiple Carr...

Week 12 NFL Stacks Looking back at Week 11 results I feel like we got out alive and actually did pretty well considering all the injuries and low scoring games. Each of the four quarterbacks in the stacks article threw for 300+ yards or multiple touchdowns highlighted by the top stack Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers once again provided big fantasy numbers despite a team struggling around him. With absolutely no running game don't expect the volume to decrease anytime soon. Week 12 is a bit of a different animal. With three Thursday games on Thanksgiving it leaves us with a smaller 12 game main slate on Sunday and 13 if you include the Monday night game. Looking through the Vegas data there is just one game projected for more than 50 total points but nine teams are projected to score more than 25 points giving us a ton of options to sort through. I will once again turn to the Player Lab tool to assist in breaking every player down and identifying the top plays through the multiple filters available. Not only can you turn these filters on and off you can also customize them to your liking. This week I am going to start with the following filters as it quickly filtered out most of the field. I adjusted the "High Vegas O/U" to 47 or more points, the "High Proj Att" to 40 or more and the "Poor Defense vs Pass" to 25th or worse. Let's take a look. New England Patriots vs. New York Jets QB - Tom Brady Elite Option - Julian Edelman Value Option - James White, Dion Lewis Like I mentioned above, the filters I chose narrowed the field down to just two options. I will lead off with Tom Terrific who has been an absolute beast since returning from suspension to open the season. He has thrown for 300+ yards or multiple touchdowns in all six games. Even without Gronkowski last week he threw it up 40 times, completing just 24 but totaled 280 yards and FOUR touchdowns. Unfortunately, it looks like Brady and the Patriots will be without Gronk once again as he is 50/50 at best to suit up. Even if he does he will be far...
Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Week 11
Weekly NFL Stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel - Week 11 In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. GET A FREE TRIAL NOW! Week 11 NFL Stacks In Week 11 we are going to concentrate closely on two specific filters on the Player Lab tool. They will be the "High Team Pass Yards %" and "High Team Passing Touchdowns %". High Team Passing Yards % - The percentage of a team's total yardage that comes from passing. High Team Passing Touchdowns % - The percentage of a team's total touchdowns coming from the pass. These filters put the focus directly on teams who rely on the pass more than other teams. In Week 11 these filters narrowed the field down to seven quarterbacks. We will now go a few steps further with the Player Lab tool and identify four top stacking options to help you cash in tournaments. Let's take a look. Green Bay Packers QB - Aaron Rodgers Elite Option - Jordy Nelson, Devante Adams Value Option - Randall Cobb I included a snap shot of the Packers top targeted wide receivers this season. Jordy Nelson peaked last week with 18 targets, catching 12 for 126 yards and a touchdown. This was against a Titans defense(we will pick on them soon once again) who ranks 24th in Defense vs. the Pass. The matchup is much harder for Nelson this week as he will most likely be facing elite corner Josh Norman. I say most likely as I though he would be shadowing Stefon Digs last week but this was not the case and Diggs blew up for 164 yards. It will be a scenario where I will want to build multiple Packers stacks and inter change the options. With the projected volume I will be trying to roster at least two of the WR in each lineup. The great thing about Jordy is his price that comes in under $8K on both sites. Like James mentioned on the DFSR Week 11 Value Plays Podcast he is more like a mid $8K player. Take advantage in a projected high scoring game. If the Redskins do decide to shut down Jordy Nelson, we have Aaron Rodgers in the turn the entire target share over to his secondary options. Devante Adams has been excellent lately leading the team with 47 targets over the last four games with two 100 yard...

Week 10 NFL Stacks Last turned out to be a success for DFSR as a whole. Doug and James absolutely killed it with the projections and optimizer finishing first in the FantasyPros DFAC contest scoring 152 points on FanDuel. Great job guys. The stacks were also a success on last week. The chalky Saints and Packers both performed well with Brees and Rodgers both throwing 297+ yards and three touchdowns. The value stack of the 49ers was a split decision as Colin Kaepernick went off for 398 yards passing and two touchdowns but I totally missed the WR option as it was Quinton Patton going off for 106 yards on a team leading nine targets. Gross. It was a similar situation for the Eagles as Carson Wentz threw for a season high 364 yards but didn't record a touchdown despite a few passes that ended up just short of the end zone that turned into rushing touchdowns. The most positive takeaway from the Eagles was that Jordan Matthews and Zach Ertz owned close to 50% of the target share with 18 targets. With just four teams on bye's this week we get two additional games which should help limit the ownership on some of the stacks. Let's take a look at the Player Lab and break down some of the top stacks for this the Sunday-Monday slate. Philadelphia Eagles QB - Carson Wentz Elite Options - Jordan Matthews Value Options - Zach Ertz, Darren Sproles I am going right back to the Eagles well this week for a few reasons. As you can see in the picture above Carson Wentz is the only quarterback to show up on the Player lab with those three specific filters(High Vegas O/U, Poor Defense vs. Pass, High Opp Pace). The Eagles will face the NFC South powerhouse Falcons who lead the league with 33.9 points per game. For the Eagles to keep this one close I can easily see Wentz exceeding 37 projected pass attempts. He easily exceeded that last week when they let him air out 47 times. He is a rookie quarterback and is going to make mistakes as he did last week with two interceptions early in the 1st quarter. He rebounded nicely and...
