Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 2 - 9/16/18 Welcome back football fans. With week one in the books, we now have current film and stats to look at and analyze which makes me even more excited for week two. If you haven't already, be sure to go over and check out the Main Article that was posted a couple days ago looking at some of the top cash game plays for this week. In this article, I will be looking at two of my top stacks for GPP formats. Then closer to the weekend be sure to check out Doug's GPP article and my GPP Pivot article concentrating on pivot plays based on ownership projections. Let's get started. Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback - Ben Roethlisberger Primary Target - Antonio Brown Secondary Target - JuJu Smith-Schuster The first place I will be going this week is with the Steelers and Big Ben who is in line for a bounce-back performance after throwing three interceptions and losing two fumbles in a tie against the Browns. The weather was awful and while I am not trying to make excuses for a perceived elite offense, Big Ben did still throw for 335 yards. Looking at the Player Lab, I looked at teams in games with high totals(49+) who also have plus matchups against defenses that rank 25th or worse against the position. This spit out just two options this week and while I like both, I don't think the Saints will fall behind again and shouldn't have to throw as much. For the Steelers, they get a matchup against an electrifying offensive team in Kansas City but the issue with the Chiefs is the defense and this should lead to a very high scoring game on Sunday. They only produced one sack last week vs. the Chargers and allowed Rivers to throw for 424 yards and three touchdowns. While James Conner will be a popular running back choice this week as he got 100% touch share in week one, the Chiefs held Melvin Gordon to 64 yards on the ground but he did grab nine balls for 102 additional yards. I will have some exposure to Conner who did catch five of his six targets for 57 yards but my main target is obviously Antonio Brown who got a whopping 16 targets in week one, catching nine of them for 93 yards and...

DFS NFL Week 2 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/13/18

DFS NFL Week 2 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/13/18 The DFSR crew of Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing the cash game NFL plays for FanDuel and DratKings and Week 2. There’s a lot to break down in terms of cash games where we will likely see ownership in a tighter range than we saw for opening weekend. The guys look at quarterback first where they discuss Alex Smith and Ben Roethlisberger while making the case against a possible chalk guy in Patrick Mahomes. At running back, it sure looks like going expensive will be the play with James Conner, Alvin Kamara and Todd Gurley leading the way in terms of projections. And finally, there’s value at wide receiver with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas still likely underpriced for their improved quarterback play. All of this and more on a full NFL podcast for Week 2 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...

Five (Over)Reactions to Week 1 and a Look Ahead to Week 2 9/9/18

Posted by on Sep 9, 2018 in featured, News, Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 0 comments

Five (Over)Reactions to Week 1 and a Look Ahead to Week 2 9/9/18 What's the NFL without overreacting to 6% of the season sample size and making snap judgments about everything we *saw* in Week 1? The first Sunday football had a little of everything (including easy cash game victories for our users on both sites). So let's take a look at some overreactions to the week that was. And remember we'll have cash game plays, premium content and podcasts for Week 2 coming soon. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our MLB Optimizer, and our new Player Lab! We've got you completely covered. Andrew Luck isn’t the old Andrew Luck Look, on its face, Luck’s 39/53 for 319 yards and two touchdowns doesn’t look all that bad. From a fantasy perspective, he *got there* on his price even though the Colts lost the game with the Bengals putting up 24 second-half points in a dramatic comeback punctuated by a fumble return touchdown to seal it late. But here’s my concern with Luck: while he did put up yards and was accurate (completing 74% of his passes), he clearly didn’t want to/ couldn’t get the ball downfield. His longest completion was the over the top TD to Ebron (26 yards) and according to NFL’s Next Gen passing stats, Luck’s Average Intended Yards (the average Air Yards a passer throws on all attempts) was the second-lowest of all quarterbacks in Week 1 (Alex Smith was the lowest, because of course). I wouldn’t overreact to this stat after one week except Luck is coming off of a missed season because of an injury to his throwing shoulder and some early reports were that he didn’t have his fastball. Was this the reason he wasn’t taking downfield shots or was it just the general Cincy coverage? It’s going to take some time to flush it out but he had optimal conditions in Week 1 (at home in the dome) and in Week 2 will go on the road to face the Redskins who just held Sam Bradford (not a world beater of course) to 20/34 and 153 yards. Patrick Mahomes/ Tyreek Hill were awesome, but let’s pump the breaks just a little It was a quality season-opener for the newly-minted KC quarterback, with Mahomes securing a win on the road against a good Charger’s team. This is just the kind of win...
